WILL OBAMA NATIONALIZE ANTI-SEMITISM ?
Like Obama, I am a graduate of Harvard Law School. I too have Muslims in my family. I am black, and I was once a leftist Democrat. Since our backgrounds are somewhat similar, I perceive something in Obama’s policy toward Israel which people without that background may not see. All my life I have witnessed a strain of anti-Semitism in the black community. It has been fueled by the rise of the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan, but it predates that organization.Iran accuses Israel of psych warfare

Right of Reply: Isolating Israel through the language of human rights
The appointment of Goldstone was another step in the strategy adopted by the 2001 Durban NGO forum, with the goal of isolating Israel through the language of human rights. NGO Monitor's detailed research shows that HRW has promoted this strategy by issuing at least 68 calls for "independent investigations" of Israel - including Jenin (2002), Rafah (2004), the Gaza beach incident and the Lebanon war (2006). Roth lamely sought to avoid the evidence of targeting Israel, rather than doing more on human rights in Iran, Africa or Libya: "We've got to pick and choose - we've got finite resources."Madonna to meet Netanyahu, Livni in Jerusalem
Libya's Gadhafi Marks 40 Years In Power
Mad Dog of the Middle East or history's longest reigning drag queen?
On a wall near the old city, there is a poster showing him as he was in the 1970's, when he was promoting his Third Universal Theory, a mix of Islam and socialism meant to unite Arabs and counter capitalism and communism. Nearby, on massive balloons, one can see the Colonel of a decade later, the man who backed extremists and terrorists, a pariah dubbed by the United States the "Mad Dog of the Middle East".The U.S. and U.K. Both 'Go Wobbly' on Terrorism
There are also images of him as he approached middle age - in the 1990's - a time he gained the blessing of no less a moral authority than Nobel laureate Nelson Mandela. And always on display, throughout the years, the clothes - the parade of flamboyant costumes set off by the austere attire of his striking female bodyguards.
In the late 80s, Margaret Thatcher warned George H.W. Bush "not to go wobbly" on her; in the past week both the Scottish Justice Secretary and the government of the United States have "gone wobbly" in the fight against terrorism.OIC FMs contact group on Kashmir to meet in NY

Not fucking unhappy enough IMO.
According to these assessments, the US believes some of those responsible for the wave of attacks, as well as some of the explosives that were used to carry them out, came across the border from Syria, and Washington wants to see Syria take much stronger action to seal its border with Iraq. Since taking office in January, US President Barack Obama has pursued a policy of engagement with Syria, sending a number of top-tier officials there, including US Mideast envoy George Mitchell, and has said that the US would reopen its embassy in Damascus. According to assessments in Jerusalem, the US is unhappy that these moves have not led to a more intense Syrian effort to seal the border with Iraq.Iraq al Qaeda militant says Syria trained him

We got the green thumb, the fickle finger of fate, and now... the purple finger of fraud.
A Kabul teacher assigned to run a polling station in this village arrived at 6 a.m. on Election Day to find the ballot boxes already full, well before the voting was to start. When he protested, the other election officials told him to let it go; when he refused, he was taken away by the local tribal chieftain’s bodyguards.

"What we need to do now is to see to it that the election result that comes out of this is seen as reasonably legitimate in Afghanistan itself so that it can provide a foundation for political stability at least a year into the future," Bildt said in a separate statement. The Ostensible Afghan Drug Lord Hit Team
Please, if they really wanted the Afghan drug lords they should be assembling in the government buildings - start at the Defense Minister's office. What they are truly doing is eliminating the approved drug lord's enemies, not eliminating "drug lords".
A highly specialized task force of U.S., British and Australian commandos and narcotics enforcement officers has assembled at Kandahar Airfield with the unreserved mission of tracking down and eliminating Afghan drug lords, whose profits fuel the lethal Taliban insurgency. The team, which American commanders in Kabul believe will be instrumental in turning the tide of the Afghan war, has no Canadian participation, according to senior officials in Ottawa - something that shocks defence observers.Existence of the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force, which "will go after drug networks linked to the insurgency, interdict drug shipments, destroy heroin labs and identify and arrest their protectors in (the Afghan) government," was revealed in a recent report by the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. That the U.S. and NATO are targeting drug lords is well-known, but counter-insurgency warfare expert Thomas X. Hammes said the task force, its composition and methods are new.Super-large rare metal deposit discovered in northwest China
Niobium.... which is almost the same as tantalum, which they also found. That will give them even more power economically, and "rare earth metals" includes Uranium - they may find that too. NOW I have to wonder if all the EQ's in NW China over the last two days have anything to do with blasting or mining or if they are just transferred energy from the shit going on in the Indian Ocean? Both things are possible, and simultaneously too
"The super-large deposit is worth more than 130 billion yuan (19 billion U.S. dollars) after being exploited." It also has a proven reserve of more than 10,000 tonnes of tantalum and rare earth metals, Xu said.

Kennedy's Letter To Pope Revealed At Burial
McCarrick also read from a letter that the ailing senator wrote to Pope Benedict XVI asking for his prayers and guidance as he entered the final chapter of his life. The letter was hand-delivered by President Barack Obama during a recent visit to the Vatican.TED KENNEDY KILLED UNCLE SAM
"I am writing with deep humility to ask that you pray for me as my own health declines. I was diagnosed with brain cancer more than a year ago, and although I continue treatment, the disease is taking its toll on me," McCarrick read from the letter. "I know that I have been an imperfect human being, but with the help of my faith, I have tried to right my path."
Senator Ted Kennedy was a wretched Roman Catholic who served to undermine the cardinal tenets of Christianity. He earned a 100% NARAL Pro Choice rating for supporting every pro abortion issue that rose from the floor of the Senate, including the legalization of late-term abortions and the right of minors to cross state lines for abortions without parental permission. He was a supporter of gay rights and same sex marriage. He opposed public prayer, even silent prayer, and abstinence education. And he strove to his dying day to sever the American people from their Judeo-Christian roots. His funeral service should not have been held from a Roman Catholic Church but a Massachusetts mosque, since he is the true father of Islam in America.

Namibian president Hifikepunye Pohamba’s visit to India, which started on Sunday, is linked to India sourcing uranium from the African nation, which is the sixth largest producer of uranium in the world. Sources said that discussions on uranium mining and supplies have been ongoing with Namibia for some time now.
Ahead of Mr Pohamba’s visit, the Cabinet approved signing of an MoU on mining, which covers not just uranium but also other minerals like copper and diamonds. The MoU, which is likely to be signed after discussions between Mr Pohamba and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday, will give India the opportunity to tap Namibia’s rich mining sector. This includes the chance to get exclusive prospecting rights and the possibility of joint ventures in the sector.

Alaska: Augustine Volcano Blowing Off Steam
Earthquake hits NW China's Qinghai
Augustine Volcano, Alaska, has been releasing a prominent steam plume from its summit over recent days. The Alaska Volcano Observatory has released a brief news announcement which says that this plume represents normal behaviour for Augustine and is nothing to worry about: it has just been more visible over recent days because of ‘humidity levels and atmospheric conditions’.
Augustine’s largest historic eruption was a VEI=4 event in 1883-4 (see ‘Mount Augustine split in two’), and its most recent eruption (VEI=3) was in 2005-6. The AVO keeps a close watch on Augustine and will respond appropriately should the volcano show signs of renewed activity – that’s what volcano monitoring is all about.
