Glow Ballin' Con Fusion: 21st Century Schizoid Man?

King Crimson
21st Century Schizoid Man

Michael Travis, our 21st Century Schizoid Man?

Have you ever had the feeling that someone had entered your house or apartment while you were out? Have you ever noticed that things were "not quite as you left them" upon returning from work? Little things draw your attention, like chips in a new cookie jar, drawers not closed properly or cupboards slightly ajar. Luggage and musical instrument cases appear tampered with, and your clothing seem to have been moved haphazardly around your closet.

I have experienced all of the above and substantially more, for over a year. I have returned home to discover my door unlocked several times. My mail has been opened with a letter opener, and stuffed under my door. I have found a note left in a guitar case, outside of the closed case, and crumbled on the ground. This is spooky stuff folks.

I could be crazy. I may be a raving, delusional, 21st century schizoid man.

Or perhaps not.

Last week I installed a video surveillance system in my apartment. The system records any intrusion and sends an alert by email and SMS to my desk at work. The system works like a charm. It took no more than a few days to prove me more or less sane.

On April 21, 2009, while hard at work at my Massachusetts office, I was alerted by the security system to an intruder. From miles away I watched as a slimy trespasser slithered into my small apartment, looked around, and quietly left.

I called the cops.

A nice policeman arrived within minutes and I showed him the video.

The nice policeman said I should ask around to see if anyone can ID the intruder. I told the nice policeman (his name and badge number was covered by elastic bands,,,so I shall continue calling him "Nice Policeman") that he was the cop and investigating crime was his job, not mine.

I feel much better now. Really I do.

It may take time, but I will learn to love Post-America.

King Crimson
The Court of the Crimson King

The dance of the puppets
The rusted chains of prison moons
Are shattered by the sun.
I walk a road, horizons change
The tournaments begun.
The purple piper plays his tune,
The choir softly sing;
Three lullabies in an ancient tongue,
For the court of the crimson king.

John McTernan's Insights
Purpose of this Blog:

The purpose of this blog is to keep the reader up to date with current information and events that are related to the Bible. The focus is on Israel and the United States, but all other relevant information will be reported, to show the reader the desperate, yet exciting, time we live in. Bible prophecy is coming alive right before our very eyes. The information is to ground us in God; to cause us to live holy; to be anchored in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus: and to show the awesome authority of the Bible as the very word of God.

This is NO time to ignore events.

Now is the time to run to the battle for the Lord Jesus. If you came under attack, you would want the support of thousands to stand with you. This is one of the goals of this blog: to raise up thousands who are not lukewarm. They will support those who are standing for righteousness.
Author John McTernan discusses the correlation between anti-Israeli US government actions & simultaneous natural disasters that occur in America. Is this coincidence or Divine Judgment? You do not want to miss this show!

WFRL: Freedom Rider

Freedom Rider

Like a hurricane around your heart
when earth and sky are torn apart
He comes gathering up the bits
while hoping that the puzzle fits
He leads you,
he leads you
Freedom Rider

With a silver star between his eyes
that open up at hidden lies
Big man crying with defeat,
see people gathering in the street
You feel him,
you feel him
Freedom Rider

When lightning strikes you to the bone,
you turn around, you're all alone
By the time you hear that siren sound,
then your soul is in the lost and found
Forever, forever

Torah Makes Free

Jack Bruce, Uli Jon Roth & Glenn Hughes
I Feel Free ~ 2006

by Rabbi Avi Shafran

The sight was not only amusing, it was timely. Leaving my house for the synagogue early the third morning of Passover, a Sabbath this year, I wished my next-door neighbor a good morning. A muscular man, he was sitting in his doorway in his pajamas, curled up against the mist and chill, smoking a cigarette.

His wife (or maybe his landlord) doesn’t allow him to smoke in the house. And so he can often be found outside feeding his habit. This particular day, though, his just-woke-up-and-needed-one-so-bad look took on a larger import. It was a poignant reminder of what Jews were celebrating that week: release from slavery.

I imagined my neighbor regarding his perch as an escape from the oppression of the smoke-intolerant house. The reality, of course, is quite the opposite: his enslaver is his addiction.

The freedom for which Jews recently spent a week thanking their Liberator is also often misunderstood. Yes, the Jewish exodus from Egypt freed our ancestors from physical enslavement, but it was much more than a liberation movement, a shaking off of shackles and assertion of independence. The deepest enslavement the Jews suffered in Egypt, authentic Jewish sources explain, was spiritual in nature. The people had sunk to a deep level of defilement, having assimilated their masters’ unholy practices. And G-d’s intercession before the people could sink even any deeper into the moral morass – another moment in Egypt, the rabbis of the Midrash teach, would have rendered them beyond redemption – is the deepest reason for our Passover rejoicing.

Which made a statement issued by the advocacy arm of the Reform movement on the eve of the holiday so tragically ironic. It came in the wake of the Vermont legislature’s vote to legalize same-sex marriage in that state, and expressed how, “as we prepare for the Passover holiday,” the movement was “cheered by the sweetness of [the] victory for marriage equity…”

To some of us, the Vermont vote, like an Iowa court ruling shortly before it that yielded a similar outcome in that state, would have been more appropriately associated with the Seder plate’s bitter herbs. For the headlong societal rush to exalt behavior the Torah forbids not only to Jews but to all of humanity evidences a deep and dangerous misunderstanding. It confuses libertinism with liberty, free-for-all with freedom.

For true freedom entails responsibility; it is the freedom not of the body but of the soul. When G-d ordered Pharaoh “Let My people go!” He continued: “… so that they may serve Me.”

The Jewish concept of freedom does not entail being unfettered, but rather bound to what is meaningful; it does not mean independence but subservience – not to the mundane but to the Divine.

Which is why Passover, in a sense, doesn’t entirely end after its seven (or, outside of the Holy Land, eight) days. On the second day of the holiday, following the Biblical command, observant Jews begin counting, marking each of the following forty-nine days by pronouncing a blessing and assigning the day a number. The fiftieth day, the day after the counting is completed, is the holiday of Shavuot (“Weeks”); it is in a very real sense the culmination of Passover.

For according to Jewish tradition, Shavuot is the anniversary of what the exodus from Egypt was for: the revelation at Sinai, when the Torah was given to the Jewish people. And therein lies the ultimate meaning of Jewish freedom: emergence from our enslavement to lower urges, to substances, possessions, the dictates of society. Freedom of the spirit.

And so we count the days – quite literally – from the holiday of freedom to the holiday of Torah, expressing (and, hopefully, impressing on ourselves) just how inextricably the theme of Passover is linked to that of Shavuot, how the ultimate expression of true freedom is having the courage and mettle to throw off the yoke of temporal masters and commit ourselves to what is meaningful in an ultimate sense: the will and law of G-d.

The rabbis of the Talmud put it pithily, noting how similar the Hebrew word for “etched,” “charut” – used about the commandments carved on the Tablets of the Law – is to the Hebrew word for freedom, cherut.

“The only free person,” they explain, “is the one immersed in Torah.”

Street Spirit

Rows of houses, all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things into position
All these things will one day swallow whole
And fade out again, and fade out

This machine will, will not communicate
These thoughts and the strain I am under
Be a world child, form a circle
Before we all, go under
And fade out again, and fade out again

Cracked eggs, dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death, can see its beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again, and fade out again

Have you reckoned the earth much?
Have you practiced so long to learn to read?
Have you felt so proud

Stop this day and night with me

You shall possess the good of the earth and sun....
there are millions of suns left,
You shall no longer take things at second or third hand....

nor feed on the spectres in books.
You shall not look through my eyes either,
nor take things from me,
You shall listen to all sides
and filter them from yourself.

The development of a drug that has revolutionized the treatment of many types of cancer has earned its inventor, Ronald Levy, MD, the 2009 King Faisal International Prize in Medicine.

More than 30 years ago, Levy, now chief of the oncology division at the Stanford University School of Medicine, embarked on a research agenda that harnessed the power of the body`s own immune system to fight cancer. Levy developed the concept that a drug made from a naturally produced blood protein called an antibody could be a cancer-fighting machine.

Levy told Haaretz he was certain his wife and daughters would not be able to attend the ceremony, as their passports are full of visas from Israel and his wife and one of his daughters were born in Israel. To his surprise, when he went to the Saudi consulate in Los Angeles, the attendants stamped their passports, and no one asked any questions.

In spite of their fears before the trip, Levy said his family was treated to royal hospitality during their entire stay in Saudi Arabia . He said that even when people were aware of his religion and his family's background, he was treated no different than anyone else. Also, Levy said Saudis were fascinated with hearing what he and other visitors think of their country, and if their expectations were proved wrong or not. Levy's victory is the first time in the award's 30 years that a Jew has won, which Levy says he took as a sign that Saudi Arabia is becoming more open.

Putin to boycott summit over Nabucco
NABUCCO is like the emperor's new clothes, it's an imaginary hooplewidget, a propaganda tool, it does not exist and it never will. Also Putin knows this but he is an excellent performance artist and greatly enjoys his work.

NABUCCO also happens to be the name of an Opera By Verdi.
NABUCCO is Nebuchadnezzar:

Part I: JERUSALEM Nabucco, King of Babylon, advances on Jerusalem. The Jews are forced to hide in the temple. Nabucco’s daughter, Fenena, is being held prisoner there, having been kidnapped by Zaccaria. The High Priest of Jerusalem, Zaccaria, leaves Fenena with Ismaele. Ismaele and Fenena are secretly lovers. Nabucco’s other daughter, Abigaille, offers to spare the Jews and Jerusalem if Ismaele will love her (as she is also in love with Ismaele). Ismaele rejects Abigaille. Nabucco arrives at the temple. Zaccaria attempts to kill Fenena, but Ismaele rescues her. The temple in Jerusalem is destroyed. The Jews condemn Ismaele.

Part II: THE UNBELIEVER The Jews have been taken captive and are in Babylon. Abigaille, now back in Babylon, finds out that she was born a slave and is not royalty. The Babylonians believe that Nabucco is dead based on a rumor started by the High Priest of Babylon, so they call Abigaille to take the throne. Zaccaria announces Fenena’s conversion to Judaism. Nabucco returns. He proclaims that he is God. Nabucco is struck by lightening and goes mad. Abigaille takes the crown.

Part III: THE PROPHECY Babylon salutes Abigaille as their ruler, but the High Priest calls for the execution of all Jews (starting with Nubucco’s daughter Fenena). Abigaille tricks the still mad Nabucco into signing Fenena’s death warrant. Nabucco denounces Abigaille as a slave. She rips up the document stating the fact that she is a slave. Hebrew captives, on the banks of the Euphrates, sing a song, yearning for their homeland. (Va, pensiero) Zaccaria prophesies that Babylon will fall.

Part IV: THE BROKEN IDOL Fenena prepares to die. Nabucco, recovered from his madness, asks the God of the Hebrews for forgiveness. Fenena, along with other Hebrews, is standing in front of the altar when shouts of “Viva Nabucco” are heard. Nabucco destroys the false idol, a statue of Baal. Nabucco frees the Hebrews. Abigaille poisons herself, begging Fenena for forgiveness, she dies. Nabucco is proclaimed King of Kings.

Nonprofit Groups to Push for Exceptions to Lobby Rule

Ground Soldier Ensemble? Sounds like a gay Nazi dance troupe. WTF is it?
The Ground Soldier Ensemble (GSE) is a system-of-systems that provides dismounted soldiers increased situational awareness, decreased reaction times, and reduces the risk of fratricide. GSE focuses on providing mature technologies, that when integrated together on the Soldier, minimize the size, weight and power impacts to the Soldier while providing improved situational awareness and network connectivity capabilities at various echelon levels within a brigade combat team.

TACOM Contracting Center has established a Major System Website for Ground Soldier Ensemble (GSE), with an Executive Summary currently posted and available for review

That Executive Summary link, BTW, is dead now. And from reading that hooplebabble I still wouldn't really know WTF it is. Other than it "prevents fratricide". Ohhkay.

The Incredible Bongo Band
Let There Be Drums

Everyone uses this term. Why does no one ever say combobulation? There must be existing combobulation first before you can dis it, you'd think....

But NO
combobulation is not a word.
bobulate? Also, not a word.

So WTF is this term and where did it come from, I ask?

1825–35, Americanism;
fanciful alteration of discompose
or discomfort

Hmmmmm, Americanism; fanciful alteration....
Which means one day people may be saying caliphellator, masterflation, hooplewanky and Jewtian too.

Oh freakin' my.

This morning after a night of smoking cigars
And drinking brown liquor
I am sore challenged
(Albeit not so sore as
I might have anticipated) myself
Again to combobulate.
Is that what one does?
Is that the name of the task
Of pulling the scattered bits
Of consciousness back
From the edges of perception
Into the wholeness of being?
Mending the vessels
Smashed, not in the act of creation
But in the happy fellowship
Of alcoholic revelry
Ah, yes, that wise man said
"Not in rioting and drunkenness"
Sadly, or luckily, for a man my age
Chambering and wontenness are not options
After an evening of scotch and cigars.
Age makes making no account for the flesh
Easier, in that regard, than youth.

Come, Bob
You late.
Dis come
Yule ate
Combo bull
Disco me
Bobo ulate
Come, Bobo

Elated, as I anticipated,
When the discombobulation,
Thudding 'cross our sorry nation,
Ceased to vex and hex me,
Discomfort, and obsess me,
Oh, dancin' to a bongo rhythm,
Is the way we should be livin'!
When the happy syncopation,
Fills us up with bright elation,
No more discombobulation,
Confusion, heartache, rearrangin',
I ease into combobulation!

I said aloud and several times at that
What is that word?
it’s incomplete, a brim without a hat
it strikes me as a piece of word
a little slice of “pi”
Or maybe as a great ape called
a “mate” without the “pri”
You see what sort of mischief
you could find yourself “volved” in
It could be anything at all
from “re” to “e” or “diss” -begin
To see the possibilities!
If you start lopping to create
You’re likely to combobulate
a decent subject for debate.

Yom Ha Shoah, Counting the Omer, and the World in a Coma....

Singing Hatikvah
Liberation of Bergen-Belsen
April 15, 1945

Shoah is the Hebrew word for "whirlwind." It is the term used to described the conflagration that swept up six million Jewish souls between 1938 and 1945. A war was waged against the Jews in which unspeakable atrocities were perpetrated against a defenseless people. Men and women, young and old alike, were butchered at the hands of the accursed Nazis, may their name be eradicated for all time. Every year, on Yom HaShoah, we remember the martyrs who sanctified the name of G-d in the camps, the ghettos, and in the gas chambers.

The full name of the day commemorating the victims of the Holocaust is “Yom Hashoah Ve-Hagevurah”— literally the "Day of (remembrance of) the Holocaust and the Heroism." It is marked on the 27th day in the month of Nisan — a week after the seventh day of Passover, and a week before Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day for Israel's fallen soldiers). It marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.

The date was selected by the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) on April 12, 1951. The full name became formal in a law that was enacted by the Knesset on August 19, 1953. Although the date was established by the Israeli government, it has become a day commemorated by Jewish communities and individuals worldwide.

This Yom Hashoah we are no closer to a new day than we were in 1938 when the Evian Conference was held on the French side of Lake Geneva, when the civilized world signaled to Hitler that no one gave a damn about the Jews.

2009. Here we are, convening in Geneva again. This time on the Swiss side. On Hitler's birthday, On Yom Hashoah, telegraphing to the entire glowball that absolutely zero has changed. Do not think for one minute the timing of this conference is innocent.

We count the Omer,
we fast, we pray, while the world languishes in a very, very familiar coma. There is nothing new under the sun, and why should today be different than any other day?

Song Of Moses upon it all.

Full Text of Ahmadinejad's Remarks at Durban II

The making of a global society is in fact the accomplishment of a noble held in the establishment of a common global system that will be run with the participation of all nations of the world in all major and basic decision making processes and the definite route to this sublime goal. Scientific and technical capacities as well as communication technologies have created a common and wider spread understanding of the world society and has provided the necessary ground for a common system.

Nobel Laureate Wiesel Condemns Ahmadinejad At Geneva Meeting
Wiesel called the presence of Ahmadinejad and his opening speech at the UN racism conference on April 20 "an insult to our intelligence."

"Here we are now in the United Nations, an organization created as a response to the atrocities of the Second World War and we have to protest against anti-Semitic speech," Wiesel said.
A UNITED Nations meeting on racism on Tuesday adopted a final declaration against racism, xenophobia and intolerance, a day after an anti-Israel speech by Iran's president triggered a mass walkout.

'Ladies and gentlemen, you have taken a momentous decision to adopt the document,' president of the meeting, Amos Wako said, describing it as a 'historic outcome.'

Wako, the attorney general of Kenya, added that the move 'shows that one can remain constructively engaged and reach a consensus.'

Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has previously called for the Jewish state to be wiped off the map, on Monday criticised the creation of a 'totally racist government in occupied Palestine' in 1948.

He called it 'the most cruel and repressive racist regime.' His speech prompted a walkout by 23 delegations of European Union countries, and a flurry of condemnation from Western nations. -- AFP

BTW? Those who "walked out' all went right back in, EXCEPT for the Czech Republic:
The phenomenon was astonishing. The UN provided a platform for a virulent antisemite on the anniversary of the birth of Adolf Hitler. In the name of fighting intolerance, they translated his words into six languages and broadcast them around the world. As he entered the grand room at the UN's Palais Wilson, he was met by a round of applause. And this is what he said.

He began by denying the Holocaust: The "Zionist regime" had been created "on the pretext of Jewish sufferings and the ambiguous and dubious question of holocaust."

And he continued with a genocidal agenda: "the egoist and uncivilized Zionism have been able to deeply penetrate into their political and economic structure including their legislation, mass media, companies, financial systems, and their security and intelligence agencies. They have imposed their domination to the extent that nothing can be done against their will. As long as they are at the helm of power, justice will never prevail in the world. It is time the ideal of Zionism, which is the paragon of racism, to be broken. The world Zionism personifies racism that falsely resorts to religion and abuse religious sentiments to hide their hatred and ugly faces."

As he spoke, the European Union countries that had not withdrawn earlier finally stood up and walked out. But they didn't really understand what had just happened at all, for when he was finished, all but the Czech Republic went right back in.
The American Response?
U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the UN Alejandro Wolff told reporters after Ahmadinejad's appearance at the conference, "I can't think of any other word than shameful." He said it was a a "vile and hateful speech."

But Wolff then brushed the address aside, making it clear that the evil expressed would not prevent
S. Deputy Ambassador to the UN Alejandro Wolff told reporters after Ahmadinejad's appearance at the

"It does a grave injustice to the Iranian nation and the Iranian people, and we call on the Iranian leadership to show much more measured, moderate, honest and constructive rhetoric when dealing with issues in the region," he said.

U.S. State Department spokesman Robert Wood likewise told reporters in Washington that despite "this horrible rhetoric," America was still hoping to open diplomatic talks with Iran, in keeping with Obama's policy of engagement. "I am not precluding it because we have said very straightforwardly that we want to have direct diplomacy with Iran," Wood said.

Same bullshit as the Euros walking out and then walking RIGHT BACK IN.

"The 23 European countries … walked out all together because the speech by Mr Ahmadinejad was inadmissible," Mr Kouchner told Europe1 radio. "We didn't walk out of the conference and we'll come back."

France questions US boycott of racism conference

France's foreign minister warned Tuesday that the U.S. decision to boycott a U.N. racism conference could be a mistake and hurt efforts to reach out to Iran.

US Weighing Punishing Israel if it Attacks Iran
One of President Obama's closest foreign policy advisers, National Security Council member Samantha Power, is a proponent of ending military aid to Israel in order to force it to negotiate with Iran's Palestinian Islamist proxy, Hamas, and withdraw from all lands taken during the Six-Day War of June 1967. Power also advocates shifting aid to a Palestinian state. Overall, she views Israel as a liability and a historic mistake, in line with the European left position (and that of old-line, right-of-center, American isolationists and anti-Semites). Her antidemocratic admirers in the Democratic Party's (Hillary-hating) left wing agree and are eager for an opportunity to paint Israel as a Jewish North Korea (although they actually have more sympathy for North Korea than for Israel).

Pope: UN racism conference 'important initiative'

Do not think for one second that the Vatican and this Pope are not fully aware of the real agenda present at Durban.

Pope Benedict's decision to send a Vatican delegation to a United Nations conference on racism has opened a new rift in relations with Jewish groups, who fear it will be used as a platform to attack Israel.

"By participating, the Vatican has given its endorsement to what is being prepared there (against Israel)," Rome's chief rabbi, Riccardo Di Segni, told the Italian newspaper La Stampa.
Iran warns Israel not to attack nuclear sites
But parliament speaker Ali Larijani said if Israel attacked, "Iran will respond in a way that they will not be able to sleep easy anymore."
AMERICA warns Israel not to attack Iran's nuclear sites
Amid increasing suggestions that Israel might attack Iran's nuclear facilities, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates warned this week that such a strike would have dangerous consequences, and asserted that Tehran's acquisition of a bomb can be prevented only if "Iranians themselves decide it's too costly."

Using his strongest language on the subject to date, Gates told a group of Marine Corps students that a strike would probably delay Tehran's nuclear program from one to three years. A strike, however, would unify Iran, "cement their determination to have a nuclear program, and also build into the whole country an undying hatred of whoever hits them," he said.
Yah, that's right. AMERICA. Also in case you forgot GATES is a holdover from the Bush Administration. And his Igor is Bill Raytheon Lynn, who won his position despite his conflicts of interests with a note from the Black Messiah citing UNUSUAL and EXIGENT circumstances.

Ahmadinejad receives 'warm welcome' home after UN summit speech

The state-run news agency IRNA reported a "sensational scene" awaiting Ahmadinejad in Tehran. "People from all walks of life, including university students, [who] had gathered as of the early hours of Tuesday morning, warmly welcomed their political leader at the airport," Irna said. Those who opposed his speech were described as "hooligans"

Arab world applauds Ahmadinejad's speech amid catcalls for US

THE Iranian President's inflammatory speech to a United Nations conference in Geneva attracted largely positive reaction across the Arab world. Al-Quds, the Palestinian Arabic newspaper published in Jerusalem, led yesterday's issue with its coverage of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech.

"European and Western countries withdrew from the session during the speech of Iranian President as soon as he mentioned Palestine and criticised the establishment of the state of Israel," it said.

Al-Ayyam, published in the large West Bank city of Ramallah, devoted its front page to the walk-out staged by several European nations.

It cast the Ahmadinejad speech as criticism of the way Israel treated Palestinians.

A leading Arabic newspaper published in London and widely read across the Palestinian territories, al-Quds al-Arabi, said the Iranian President had only spoken the truth.

Mr Ahmadinejad "succeeded in exposing the Western double standards and in highlighting the Palestinian just cause when he affirmed in his speech at the opening session of Durban Review Conference Against Racism on the racism of Israel and on how the West solved the Jewish problem at the expense of the Palestinians", the editorial said.

"The European delegations that withdrew from the conference in protest against the speech of Ahmadinejad revealed in the clearest form their support to the Israeli racism and showed that they support the massacres committed against the Palestinian people, the latest of which was the recent aggression on Gaza Strip."

Yeah? Mighty fucking white of him.

UN racism talks 'back on track'

"In the drama of yesterday, everyone forgot what the conference is actually about," said Rupert Colville. "I think we are back on track now." His optimism was echoed by French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, who said the meeting is "not at all a failure but the beginning of a success"

Members of the European Union of Jewish Students also attempted to block the Iranian leader's appearance at a news conference. Heuze said Tuesday the students "have no chance of returning."
