Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. We'll hoist a hand, becalmed upon a troubled sea 'Make haste to your funeral,' cries the Valkyrie We'll hoist a hand or drown amidst this stormy sea 'Here lies a coffin,' cries the cemetery, it calls to me And all for nothing quite in vain was hope forever tossed No thoughts explained, no moments gained, all hope forever lost One moment's space, one moment's final fall from grace Burnt by fire, blind in sight, lost in ire
We'll hoist a hand, becalmed upon a troubled sea I fear a mighty wave is threatening me We'll hoist a hand, or drown amidst this stormy sea 'Come follow after,' cry the humble, 'You will surely see ...' But still for nothing quite in vain was hope forever tossed No moments gained, no thoughts explained, all hope forever lost One moment's space, one moment's final fall from grace Burnt by fire, blind in sight, lost in ire
I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.' ~ Psalm 82
"We are not stoning you for any of these,"
replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods' If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came— and the Scripture cannot be broken— what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'? ~ John 10
Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. The people came to Moses and said, "We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us." So Moses prayed for the people. ~ Numbers 21
Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD's hand double for all her sins. A voice of one calling: In the desert prepare the way for the LORD make straight in the wilderness a highway for our GOD. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. ~ Isaiah 40

A statement from the Turkish government promises “unprecedented and incalculable reprisals” against Israel for the Israeli Navy’s seizure of the Marmora, a Turkish vessel, which was leading a fleet of ships through the Gaza blockade yesterday.
The statement has received the support of Hezbollah, an arm of the Iranian government, and Hamas, the Palestinian network.
Such measures will not be confined to diplomatic censure.
Reports from Ankara, the capital of Turkey, state that the government, which remains under the control of the Justice and Democratic Party (Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP), is planning to continue pounding the Israeli blockade with more flotillas that will be escorted by Turkish warships and fighter jets.
Israel merchant vessels moored outside Ashdodport have been instructed to sail into port and take shelter in case of missile attacks from the Gaza Strip against Ashdod and Ashkelon.
In expectation of an outbreak of war, the Turkish chief of staff General Ilker Basbug has been recalled to Ankara from a visit to Egypt. Greece has since halted its joint exercise with Israel in protest against the naval action.
Israeli warplanes have headed west over the Mediterranean on Monday morning in support of the still ongoing Israeli commando operation aboard the Turkish Marmora, the scene of violent clashes between Israeli troops and the 600 “peace activists,” some of them armed.
The Turkish government, under Prime Minister Recep Erdogan, reported 15 dead aboard the vessel.
Israeli army spokesman, Colonel Avi Beneyahu, called the incident “an act of terror on the high seas.”
Far from being a humanitarian mission, according to Colonel Beneyahu, the flotilla was sponsored personally by the Turkish government to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza and permit arms supplies and terrorist to reach the Gaza Strip in an unrestricted manner.
The Israeli army spokesman said that the Turks aimed at provoking a widely publicized international incident with fatalities in order to show Israel using strong-arm tactics against unarmed peaceniks.
He further maintained that the Turkish government refused to heed warnings that the vessels would be prevented from entering Gaza Port and rejected Israeli offers to ferry their aid cargo overland to the Gaza Strip.
An estimated 19 activists were killed battling with Israeli troops, and dozens more were injured. Ten Israeli soldiers were wounded, two critically.
According to the Israelis, passengers, armed with knives and iron bars, mobbed the Israeli commandos as soon as they landed on the deck of the Marmara. One passenger allegedly snatched from a sidearm from an Israeli soldier and proceeded to fire at the commandos.
In the midst of mounting tensions, the Arab League Council has called for an emergency meeting today to demand Egypt to end its joint embargo with Israel on Gaza.
Egypt will face pressure to end its joint embargo on Gaza with Israel at the Arab League Council meeting urgently Tuesday, June 1. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas demanded the session.
Demonstrations against Israel continue to rage in Syria, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, and Greece.
Proof that Fethullah Gulen, who resides within a mountain fortress in Pennsylvania, is the “most dangerous Islamist” on planet earth became crystallized by the worsening crisis between Turkey and Israel.
The crisis was precipitated the Israeli Navy’s seizure of the Marmora, a Turkish vessel, which was leading a fleet of ships through the Gaza blockade yesterday.
Israeli army spokesman, Colonel Avi Beneyahu, called the incident “an act of terror on the high seas.”
The flotilla reportedly represented an effort by the Turkish government to break through the Israeli blockade on Gaza in order to permit the flow of arms and supplies to Hamas and Hezbollah terror groups. The Turks deny these charges, stating that the Marmora and the other ships in the fleet contained humanitarian aid for the Palestinian Muslims.
The aid allegedly was provided by the Humanitarian Aid Foundation and Kimse Tok Mir, a “charity” established by the Gulen movement.
An estimated 19 activists were killed battling with Israeli troops, and dozens more were injured. Ten Israeli soldiers were wounded, two critically.
In response to the attack on the Marmona, Turkey has promised “unprecedented and incalculable reprisals” and announced its intentions to pound the Israeli blockade with more flotillas. And there’s a caveat. These flotillas will be escorted by Turkish warships and fighter jets.
The Turkish government remains controlled by Gulen who has amassed more than $25 billion in financial assets.
Since 2002, Turkey has been governed by the Justice and Democratic Party (Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP), a party which Gulen established and financed not from Istanbul or Ankara but from Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania.
Abdullah Gul, Turkey’s first Islamist President, is a Gulen disciple along with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Yusuf Ziya Ozcan, the head of Turkey’s Council of Higher Education.
Under the AKP, Turkey has transformed from a secular state into an Islamic country with 85,000 active mosques – - one for every 350- citizens – - the highest number per capita in the world, 90,000 imams, more imams than teachers and physicians – - and thousands of state-run Islamic schools.
Despite the rhetoric of European Union accession, Turkey has transferred its alliance from Europe and the United States to Russia and Iran. It has moved toward friendship with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Syria and created a pervasive anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, and anti-America animus throughout the populace.
And the person who has created this radical change in world affairs is the reclusive Gulen.
Gulen’s grandiose vision is the restoration of the Ottoman Empire and the creation of a universal caliphate.
In his public statements, Gulen espouses a liberal version of Sunni/Hanafi Islam and promotes the Muslim notion of hizmet – - altruistic service to the common good.
In private, Gulen has stated that “in order to reach the ideal Muslim society ‘every method and path is acceptable, [including] lying to people.’”
With assets in excess of $30 billion, Gulen has wielded political allegiances in Washington that have resulted in the placement of Turkish Muslims in the CIA, NSA, FBI, and other national security organizations.
He has created well-heeled lobbies to promote the cause of Islam and to develop Islamic candidates for political office.
He has formed close friendships with Bill and Hillary Clinton, former Secretaries of State James Baker and Madeleine Albright, and George W. Bush.
Gulen has also established over thousands of schools throughout the world, where students are indoctrinated in the tenets of political Islam.
85 of these schools are located in the United States.
They are funded by American taxpayers.
The Truth About the Terror-Flotilla Report from "Freedom Flotilla" Before Its Departure for Gaza: Activists on Board Chant Intifada Songs and Praise Martyrdom
All nine protesters killed Monday (May 31) aboard a Gaza-bound Turkish ship carrying weapons-wielding activists are believed to be Turkish nationals and were backed by the IHH, an Islamist Turkish group connected to global jihadi networks.[1] The incident occurred after Israel Navy personnel attempted to stop the ship from illegally entering Gaza and were attacked by self-described human rights activists[2] with knives, clubs and other weapons.[3] About 400 of the 700 people participating in the six-vessel flotilla were Turks.[4]
The IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi - “humanitarian relief fund”) operated the Turkish ship, the Mavi Marmara, which was en route to Gaza as part of the flotilla on a self-described humanitarian mission. IHH has provided financial support to Iran-backed Hamas and has ties to global jihadi networks and the Muslim Brotherhood – a global umbrella Islamic organization of which Hamas is a branch – as well as mujahideen groups in Afghanistan.[5] In 2006, a study conducted by the Danish Institute for International Studies showed that the IHH was involved in planning an al-Qaeda attack against Los Angeles International Airport in 1999. IHH reportedly acquired forged documents, enlisted operatives and delivered weapons to al-Qaeda in preparation for the attack, which was ultimately foiled.[6]
The Danish study also cites a French intelligence report which stated that in the mid-1990s the IHH sent a number of operatives into war zones in Muslim countries to get combat experience. The report said that IHH transferred money and “caches of firearms, knives and pre-fabricated explosives” to Muslim fighters in those countries.[7] SNIP
I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for comforters, but I found none. ~ Psalm 69
I don't want to ride the milk train anymore I'll go to bed at nine and waken with the dawn And lunch at half past noon and dinner prompt at five The comfort of a few old friends long past their prime
Pass the tea and sympathy for the good old days long gone We'll drink a toast to those who most believe in what they've won
It's a long, long time 'til morning plays wasted on the dawn
And I'll not write another line, for my true love is gone
When the guests have gone, I'll tidy up the rooms And turn the covers down, and gazing at the moon Will pray to go quite mad and live in long ago When you and I were one, so very long ago
Pass the tea and sympathy for the good old days long gone We'll drink a toast to those who most believe in what they've won
It's a long, long time 'til morning plays wasted on the dawn
And I'll not write another line, for my true love is gone
When I have no dreams to give you anymore I'll light a blazing fire and wait within the door And throw my life away, "I wonder why?" they all will say
And now I lay me down to sleep, forever and a day
Pass the tea and sympathy, for the good old days are dead Let's drink a toast to those who best survived the life they've led
It's a long, long time 'til morning, so build your fires high
Listen, my people, to my teaching; incline your ear to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth with a parable, I will utter riddles of long ago; that which we have heard and know to be true, and that our fathers have told us.
We will not withhold from their children, telling the final generation the praises of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders He has performed. He established a testimony in Jacob, and set down the Torah in Israel, which He commanded our fathers to make known to their children, so that the last generation shall know; children yet to be born will rise and tell their children, and they shall put their hope in God, and not forget the works of the Almighty; and they shall guard His commandments.
And they shall not be like their fathers, a wayward and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set its heart straight, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. The children of Ephraim, armed archers, retreated on the day of battle. They did not keep the covenant of God, and refused to follow His Torah. They forgot His deeds and His wonders that He had shown them. He performed wonders before their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.He split the sea and brought them across; He erected the waters like a wall. He led them with a cloud by day, and all night long with the light of fire. He split rocks in the wilderness, and gave them to drink as if from the abundant depths. And He brought forth flowing waters from the rock, and caused waters to descend like rivers.
Yet they again continued to sin against Him, to provoke the Most High in the parched land. 18. And they tested God in their hearts, by requesting food for their craving. They spoke against God; they said, "Can God set a table in the wilderness? True, He hit the rock and waters flowed, streams gushed forth; but can He also give bread? Will He prepare meat for His people?” And so the Lord heard and was enraged; a fire was kindled against Jacob; wrath, too, flared against Israel.
For they did not believe in God and did not trust in His salvation, though He had commanded the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven. He had rained upon them manna to eat, and given them grain of heaven. Man ate the bread of angels; He sent them enough provisions to satiate.
He drove the east wind through the heaven, and led the south wind with His might. He rained meat upon them like dust, winged birds like the sand of seas; and He dropped them inside His camp, around His dwellings. And they ate and were very satiated, for He brought them their desire. They were not yet estranged from their craving, their food was still in their mouths, when the wrath of God rose against them and slew their mighty ones, and brought down the chosen of Israel.
Despite this, they sinned again, and did not believe in His wonders; so He ended their days in futility, and their years in terror. When He slew them they would seek Him, they would return and pray to God. They remembered that God is their rock, God the Most High, their redeemer. But they beguiled Him with their mouth, and deceived Him with their tongue. Their heart was not steadfast with Him; they were not faithful to His covenant.
Yet He is compassionate, pardons iniquity, and does not destroy; time and again He turns away His anger, and does not arouse all His wrath. He remembered that they were but flesh, a spirit that leaves and does not return. How often they provoked Him in the desert, and grieved Him in the wasteland! Again and again they tested God, and sought a sign from the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His hand, the day He redeemed them from the oppressor; that He set His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the field of Zoan. He turned their rivers to blood, and made their flowing waters undrinkable. He sent against them a mixture of beasts which devoured them, and frogs that destroyed them. He gave their produce to the grasshopper, and their toil to the locust. He killed their vines with hail, and their sycamores with biting frost. He delivered their animals to the hail, and their livestock to fiery bolts.
He sent against them His fierce anger, fury, rage, and affliction; a delegation of messengers of evil. He leveled a path for His anger, and did not spare their soul from death; He delivered their animals to pestilence. He struck every firstborn in Egypt, the first fruit of their strength in the tents of Ham. He drove His nation like sheep, and guided them like a flock in the desert. He led them in security and they did not fear, for the sea covered their enemies.
And He brought them to the boundary of His holy place, this mountain which His right hand acquired. He drove out nations before them, and allotted them an inheritance measured by the cord; He settled the tribes of Israel in their tents. Yet they tested and defied God, the Most High, and did not keep His testimonies. They regressed and rebelled like their fathers; they turned around like a deceptive bow. They angered Him with their high altars, and provoked Him with their idols.
God heard and was enraged, and He was utterly disgusted with Israel; He abandoned the Tabernacle of Shilo, the Tent where He had dwelled among men.He put His might into captivity, and His glory into the hand of the oppressor. He delivered His nation to the sword, and was enraged with His inheritance. Fire consumed His young men, and His maidens had no marriage song. His priests fell by the sword, and their widows did not weep.
And the Lord awoke like one who had been asleep, like a warrior shouting to sober himself] from wine.He beat His enemies into retreat, and dealt them eternal disgrace. He was disgusted with the tent of Joseph, and did not choose the tribe of Ephraim. He chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which He loves. And He built His Sanctuary permanent as the heavens; like the earth, He established it forever. And He chose David His servant, and took him from the sheep corrals. From following the nursing ewes, He brought Him to shepherd His nation Jacob, Israel His inheritance. And he tended them with the integrity of his heart, and led them with the skill of his hands.
So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things kept secret since the creation of the world" ~ Matthew 13:35
For a long time now— to this very day— you have not deserted your brothers but have carried out the mission the LORD your GOD gave you. ~ Joshua 22
Saul answered, "The soldiers brought them from the Amalekites44806003; they spared the best of the sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the LORD your God, but we totally destroyed the rest."
"Stop!" Samuel said to Saul. "Let me tell you what the LORD said to me last night."
"Tell me," Saul replied.
Samuel said, "Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The LORD anointed you king over Israel. And he sent you on a mission, saying, 'Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; make war on them until you have wiped them out.'
Why did you not obey the LORD ? Why did you pounce on the plunder and do evil in the eyes of the LORD ?"
"But I did obey the LORD," Saul said. "I went on the mission the LORD assigned me. I completely destroyed the Amalekites and brought back Agag90 their king. The soldiers took sheep and cattle from the plunder, the best of what was devoted to God, in order to sacrifice them to the LORD your GOD at Gilgal."
But Samuel replied:
"Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD ? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king."
Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned. I violated the LORD's command and your instructions. I was afraid of the people and so I gave in to them. Now I beg you, forgive my sin and come back with me, so that I may worship the LORD."
But Samuel said to him, "I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you as king over Israel!" ~ 1 Samuel 15

The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.
Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.
Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek.
Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior.
Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.
Teach me your way, O LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence.
I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

But now many nations
are gathered against you. They say, "Let her be defiled, let our eyes gloat over Zion!" ~ Micah 4
Dear Friends,
If you really want to know what is going on in the Middle East these days, and how Israel stands alone in a battle for her existence, please watch theses clips taken from the streaming video on board the large ship carrying 600 pro-Hamas passengers to Gaza.
They claim that the people of Gaza are starving and destitute because of the Israeli blockage. (They neglect to mention the massive numbers of weapons that are smuggled into Gaza every day through tunnels between Egypt and Gaza). They claim that they carry humanitarian cargo - cement, school supplies, medical supplies, etc.
They expect Israel to take them at their word that the cargo is benign, and they complain about Israeli 'inhumanity' towards the people of Gaza (they probably don't remember the 3000+ rockets fired into Israel's civilian centers before the Gaza war stopped them). They also fail to mention the continuing attacks by Hamas on Israeli patrols inside Israel.
At the end of this e-mail are two links to interviews on board the lead ship of the flotilla. One man speaks about the starving people of Gaza, and the lack of medical supplies. So in order to recognize the lies that are being perpetrated and believed by too much of the world, here are just a few facts about the real situation:
Israel maintains an ongoing humanitarian corridor for the transfer of perishable and staple food items to Gaza. This conduit is used by internationally recognized organizations including the United Nations and the Red Cross. Well over a million tons of humanitarian supplies entered Gaza from Israel over the last 18 months equaling nearly a ton of aid for every man, woman and child in Gaza.
Large quantities of essential food items like baby formula, wheat, meat, dairy products and other perishables are transferred daily and weekly to Gaza. Fertilizers that cannot be used to make explosives are shipped into the Strip regularly, as are potato seeds, eggs for reproduction, bees, and equipment for the flower industry.
In a typical week the IDF coordinates the transfer of hundreds of trucks containing about 15,000 tons of supplies. During the week of May 18, 2010 there were more than 100 truckloads of animal food, 65 trucks of fruit and vegetables; 22 truckloads of sugar, some 27 truckloads of meat, poultry and fish; and 40 trucks of dairy products. At holiday times, Israel increases transfers. During the Muslim holy days of Ramadhan and Eid al-Adha, Israel shipped some 11,000 heads of cattle into the Strip.
So what is all this about the desperate need of the people in Gaza? And why the need for this "Flotilla of Mercy"? It's more PR than mercy, particularly since Israel offered to have them come to Ashdod, where the goods would be trans-shipped through regular land routes (see photo below of typical transports to the people of Gaza from Israel)
And the medical equipment? Did you know that no Palestinian is denied medical care in Israel? Unfortunately, if the Hamas regime does not grant permits for medical care, the Israeli government can do nothing to help the patient. But Israel facilitates all cases of medical treatments from Gaza, unless the patient is a known perpetrator of terror. (Since 2005, there were more than twenty cases in which Palestinians exploited medical care arrangements to carry out terror attacks.)
The Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem donates $3 million in aid annually to treat Palestinians in Israel. Following fears of a swine flu outbreak, three Israeli hospitals were assigned to treat cases in the Gaza Strip and 44,500 immunizations were transferred to the Strip. In 2009, Israel coordinated the transfer of medical supplies for the disabled including wheelchairs, crutches and first aid kits. Other equipment shipped to Gaza include heart-monitors, baby feeding tubes, dental equipment, medical books, ambulance emergency equipment, artificial limbs and infant sleeping bags.
Israel maintains a corridor for the transfer of medical patients out of Gaza, and about 200 medical staff members go through the crossings every month. Israel also helps coordinate the transfer of Jordanian doctors into Gaza. In 2009 alone, 10,544 patients and their companions left the Gaza Strip for medical treatment in Israel. Moreover, there were 382 emergency evacuations from Gaza for medical purposes.
Oh yes, and they keep talking about the cement and school supplies that they are bringing. Did you know that Gaza has its own cement factory, with raw materials supplied by Israel?? And is there not room in the tunnels for pencils, books, and paper?
The list goes on and on. But the Hamas propaganda machine works extremely well. Listen to the You-tube clip, captured from their media frenzy with the help of streaming media so they can continue to tell the world lies and more lies about the true condition in Gaza today.
A report from an Al Jazeera reporter on board the ship:
Here is an interview with some of the "brave supporters" of Hamas. You won't understand all of it, but it's worth listening to the end:
Stay tuned, but understand how serious is the manner in which they deceive. The sad truth is that too many people believe them. The region is becoming super-charged with the rumblings of war as Iran and Syria continue to supply Hizballah with a huge supply of sophisticated weapons and the expertise of the Iranian Republican Guard. And Hamas continues to smuggle arms into Gaza, while running this show-stopping PR play - to distract the world as Hizballah prepares to unleash a rain of terror on Israel.
So please send this on to everyone on your list who cares even a little, and understands how important this is, not only to Israel, but to America. And as we remember our own heroes tomorrow, who gave their lives for our freedom, please also remember Israel, our strongest ally in the region, who stands today at the brink of potential disaster as her neighbors conspire to destroy her.
