SILENCE The Unhinged Zero Loon!:
John Guandolo, a former FBI special agent and expert on Islamic subversion in America, recently gave an intelligence briefing to the Tennessee Bedford County Emergency Management Agency. A report of the event was published by reporter Brian Mosely, an expert on Islam in the Shelbyville Times-Gazette in Tennessee. TVC’s leadership has consulted with Mosely on Islamic subversion.

Guandolo has been with the FBI since 1996, including nine years on its SWAT team. After 9/11, he worked in the FBI’s Washington Field Office’s Counterterrorism Division, developing an expertise on Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic groups inside the United States. Guandolo works with Stephen Coughlin, former Islamic Expert for the Joint Chiefs Of Staff.

According to Guandolo, every major Islamic group in America is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood – and the goal of this subversive group is the overthrow of Democracy and the imposition of Islamic Shariah Law on America.

OIC concerned about "Food Security" to the tune of 1.5 Billion USD:
Pakistan suggested today that funds for the development of five initiatives under the Developing Eight (D8) Initiative To Address Food Security could be sourced from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

Its head of delegation to the just-concluded Minister's Meeting on Food Security, Lt Gen (Rtd) Tahir M.Qazi, said that that IDB had allocated US$1.5 billion (RM5.5 billion) for food crisis in the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) countries for the next five years under the Jeddah Declaration.

He told Bernama on Friday that the D8 countries being OIC members were eligible to draw from this fund as they were also working on food security.

D8 comprises Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, Nigeria and Egypt.

You can not erase GOD with an edict:
The finds include official government seals bearing the names of Ahimelekh ben Amadyahu and Yehokhil ben Shahar, who were high-ranking officials in Hezekiah's government. The life of Hezekiah, the son of King Ahaz is detailed in the biblical books of Kings, Isaiah and Chronicles. Hezekiah was the 13th king of independent Judah.

Archaeologists also found a Hebrew inscription - dating 600 years after the Kingdom of Judah seals - on a fragment of a jar neck, characteristic of the beginning of the Hasmonean period. The ancient building was partially destroyed during the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem.

The finds are the latest in a mountain of unearthed remains giving a clearer picture of the Jewish presence in Jerusalem during the First and Second Temple periods. Still, the Palestinian Authority, which seeks control of the Temple Mount and eastern Jerusalem, steadfastly denies the Jewish temples ever existed.

In November, Ahmed Qurei, the PA's chief negotiator, who oversees all peace talks with the Jewish state, told reporters the Jewish Temples never existed and contended Israel has been working to "invent" a Jewish historical connection to Jerusalem. PA websites make similar claims.

Russia: Famine that killed millions not genocide
Russia issued a DVD and a thick book of historical documents on Wednesday to dispute claims that the Ukrainian famine of the 1930s amounted to genocide.

Russian archivists and historians pressed the Kremlin's case that the Stalin-era famine — which killed millions of people — was a common tragedy across Soviet farmlands, countering efforts by Ukraine's pro-Western president to convince the world that Ukrainians were targeted for starvation.

"Not a single document exists that even indirectly shows that the strategy and tactics chosen for Ukraine differed from those applied to other regions, not to mention tactics or strategy with the aim of genocide," said Vladimir Kozlov, head of Russia's Federal Archive Agency.

He said the famine was a direct result of Josef Stalin's brutal collectivization campaign and the widespread confiscation of grain that was exported to secure equipment needed for the Soviet dictator's frenetic industrialization drive.

Kozlov said the policy was class-based, targeting the kulaks — wealthy farmers seen as enemies of Communism — and was implemented virtually identically across the Soviet Union.

"There were no national or ethnic undertones," he told a news conference at the headquarters of state news agency RIA-Novosti.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko contends the famine was aimed at rooting out Ukrainian nationalism.

"Hunger was selected as a tool to subdue the Ukrainian people," he said at a November ceremony marking the anniversary of what Ukrainians consider the onset of the 1932-1933 famine.

Thrice
For Miles
I know one day all our scars will disappear, like the stars at dawn. And all of our pain will fade away when morning comes, and on that day, when we look backwards, we will see that everything is changed, and all of our trials will be as milestones on the way. And as long as we live, every scar is a bridge to someone's broken heart. And there's no greater love than that one shed his blood for his friends. On that day, all of the scales will swing to set all the wrongs to right. All of our tears and all of our fears will take to flight. But until then, all of our scars will still remain. But we've learned that if we'll open the wounds and share them, then soon they start to heal...

Obama Administration Weighs Timing for Potential Iran Talks

Brand Obama, Plouffe Daddy & The Greatest Logo Since the Hammer & Sickle:
Obama's campaign shows that brands can be inclusive!

snip

The Huffington Post suggests the victory was pre-ordained (in the religious sense).
Suite 101.com claims his leadership succeeded because he "meets the criteria of a developed 'Ruler' archetype". Professor Stephen Coleman, the expert on e-democracy, called the election "the victory of popular politics over the marketing of politics".

Ian Leslie, brand consultant and author of To Be President - Quest for the White House 2008, fundamentally disagrees with nearly all of the above theories.

Speaking at MediaCom's Obama Breakfast earlier this month, he pointed out that the election campaign faced many difficulties that could only be overcome by brilliant strategic and executional marketing of the highest level.

From the development of the best logo we've seen since the hammer and sickle through to the obsessive use of data, there are lessons we can apply to our own thinking.

snip

He has two heroes of the campaign (outside of Obama himself, who certainly came across as the most authentic brand in the contest).

Those heroes are David Axelrod, the chief strategist and visionary, and David Plouffe, the campaign manager.

Together they put together a programme of activity that combined the best of top-down and bottom-up marketing.

They delivered a consistent brand message while inviting consumers to participate. Too often, brand managers think they have to choose between these two routes, which become choosing between brand-controlled order or consumer-generated anarchy.

The Obama campaign shows you can invite consumers to participate in the brand without relinquishing control of your image.

"The ministry will continue to interface with stakeholders, so that there would be synergy in order to avoid duplications of efforts and waste of resources," the minister said. Ekaette noted that it would be better to understand the causes of militancy in a bid to achieve the desired results.

The Niger Delta is an unstable area of Nigeria ,and inter ethnic clashes are common practice, often access to oil revenue is the trigger for the violence.

2 Kings 18

Hezekiah King of Judah
1 In the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, Hezekiah son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign. 2 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother's name was Abijah a]">[a] daughter of Zechariah. 3 He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done. 4 He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called b]">[b] Nehushtan. c]">[c])

5 Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. 6 He held fast to the LORD and did not cease to follow him; he kept the commands the LORD had given Moses. 7 And the LORD was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him. 8 From watchtower to fortified city, he defeated the Philistines, as far as Gaza and its territory.

9 In King Hezekiah's fourth year, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria marched against Samaria and laid siege to it. 10 At the end of three years the Assyrians took it. So Samaria was captured in Hezekiah's sixth year, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel. 11 The king of Assyria deported Israel to Assyria and settled them in Halah, in Gozan on the Habor River and in towns of the Medes. 12 This happened because they had not obeyed the LORD their God, but had violated his covenant—all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded. They neither listened to the commands nor carried them out.

13 In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah's reign, Sennacherib king of Assyria attacked all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them. 14 So Hezekiah king of Judah sent this message to the king of Assyria at Lachish: "I have done wrong. Withdraw from me, and I will pay whatever you demand of me." The king of Assyria exacted from Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents d]">[d] of silver and thirty talents e]">[e] of gold. 15 So Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the temple of the LORD and in the treasuries of the royal palace.

16 At this time Hezekiah king of Judah stripped off the gold with which he had covered the doors and doorposts of the temple of the LORD, and gave it to the king of Assyria.

Sennacherib Threatens Jerusalem
17 The king of Assyria sent his supreme commander, his chief officer and his field commander with a large army, from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem. They came up to Jerusalem and stopped at the aqueduct of the Upper Pool, on the road to the Washerman's Field. 18 They called for the king; and Eliakim son of Hilkiah the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary, and Joah son of Asaph the recorder went out to them.

19 The field commander said to them, "Tell Hezekiah:
" 'This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: On what are you basing this confidence of yours? 20 You say you have strategy and military strength—but you speak only empty words. On whom are you depending, that you rebel against me? 21 Look now, you are depending on Egypt, that splintered reed of a staff, which pierces a man's hand and wounds him if he leans on it! Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who depend on him. 22 And if you say to me, "We are depending on the LORD our God"-isn't he the one whose high places and altars Hezekiah removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, "You must worship before this altar in Jerusalem"?

23 " 'Come now, make a bargain with my master, the king of Assyria: I will give you two thousand horses—if you can put riders on them! 24 How can you repulse one officer of the least of my master's officials, even though you are depending on Egypt for chariots and horsemen f]">[f] ? 25 Furthermore, have I come to attack and destroy this place without word from the LORD ? The LORD himself told me to march against this country and destroy it.' "

26 Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah, and Shebna and Joah said to the field commander, "Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, since we understand it. Don't speak to us in Hebrew in the hearing of the people on the wall."

27 But the commander replied, "Was it only to your master and you that my master sent me to say these things, and not to the men sitting on the wall—who, like you, will have to eat their own filth and drink their own urine?"

28 Then the commander stood and called out in Hebrew: "Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria! 29 This is what the king says: Do not let Hezekiah deceive you. He cannot deliver you from my hand. 30 Do not let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the LORD when he says, 'The LORD will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.'

31 "Do not listen to Hezekiah. This is what the king of Assyria says: Make peace with me and come out to me. Then every one of you will eat from his own vine and fig tree and drink water from his own cistern, 32 until I come and take you to a land like your own, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey. Choose life and not death!
"Do not listen to Hezekiah, for he is misleading you when he says, 'The LORD will deliver us.' 33 Has the god of any nation ever delivered his land from the hand of the king of Assyria? 34 Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena and Ivvah? Have they rescued Samaria from my hand? 35 Who of all the gods of these countries has been able to save his land from me? How then can the LORD deliver Jerusalem from my hand?"

36 But the people remained silent and said nothing in reply, because the king had commanded, "Do not answer him."

37 Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and Joah son of Asaph the recorder went to Hezekiah, with their clothes torn, and told him what the field commander had said.

SOCIALIST WORKER SEZ:

The potential for such organizing can be seen in the struggles of recent weeks--the solidarity movement for the occupation of the Republic Windows & Doors factory in Chicago in December, the national protests against the anti-gay Proposition 8 referendum in California, the protests against Israel's horrific war on the people Gaza.

While it's impossible to predict where or when the next struggle will take place, it's clear that the time to organize is now.

Building a class struggle left also means reviving the socialist tradition in the U.S. And this is an opportune time given the enormous ideological crisis facing the defenders of the capitalist system. As the world sinks into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, a debate on alternatives has already broken out.

So while we mobilize against the attempts of capital to make us pay for their crisis, we also have to put forward a vision of the kind of world we're fighting for--a democratic society run by working people, based on human need rather than profit.
