Abbas: Temple Mount "100% Islamic"

Isaiah 40:2
Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

Abbas: Temple Mount '100% Islamic'
Warning: 'Any action that offends holy site will be answered by 1.5 billion Muslims'

JERUSALEM – Jerusalem and the Temple Mount belong to the Muslims and any Israeli action that "offends" the Mount will be answered by 1.5 billion Muslims, declared the chief of staff for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

"Jerusalem is Muslim. The blessed Al Aqsa mosque and Harem Al Sharif (Temple Mount) is 100 percent Muslim. The Israelis are playing with fire when they threaten Al Aqsa with digging that is taking place," said Abbas' chief of staff Rafiq Al Husseini.

The Temple Mount is Judaism's holiest site.

Husseini was referring to Israeli plans to construct a new bridge from the Western Wall area to the Temple Mount.

The old bridge was damaged two years ago. When Israeli workers tried to repair it, Palestinian leaders claimed the work was threatening the Al Aqsa Mosque, even though the mosque is located hundreds of feet away, the work did not tunnel under any Mount foundation or touch any structure connected to the mosque, and the repair work – which had been pre-approved by Jordan and the Mount's Muslim custodians – was conducted under the scrutiny of an accessible 24/7 webcam.

"Any hurting of Jerusalem will explode the whole negotiations between us and the Israelis ... we must work to strengthen Palestinian ties to Jerusalem," al-Husseini said.

Israel has been negotiating with Abbas in line with talks started at last November's U.S.-backed Annapolis Summit, which seeks to create a Palestinian state before the end of the year. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is widely expected to offer the Palestinians most of the West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem. The Temple Mount is located in eastern Jerusalem.

Mainstream Palestinian leaders claim the Temple Mount is Muslim in spite of overwhelming archaeological evidence documenting the first and second Jewish temples.

In a WND exclusive interview last year, Taysir Tamimi, chief Palestinian Justice and one of the most influential Muslim leaders in Israel, argued the Jewish Temples never existed, the Western Wall really was a tying post for Muhammad's horse, the Al Aqsa Mosque was built by angels, and Abraham, Moses and Jesus were prophets for Islam.

Abbas: The Old City and Temple Mount Cannot be Israeli

In a major setback for Palestinians/Israeli relations PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas told the Palestine Investment Conference in Bethlehem that parts of Jerusalem that Israel liberated from Jordan in 1967 belong to the Palestinians.

“East Jerusalem is ours and it's an occupied territory,” Abbas said on Wednesday, 21 May 2008 referring to Jerusalem’s Old City and Judaism’s holiest site, the Temple Mount.

“It must be returned,” he demanded, though he did not mention the fact it was never the Palestinians to start off with.

Trying to sound more conciliatory Abbas added, “We are holding serious and thorough talks with the Israelis with the hope of reaching an agreement before the end of this year. Our hands are extended to anyone who wants security and stability for this precious land.”

However, his remarks drew the ire of Israelis and proved once again he may be Israel’s best partner for peace but he cannot make the hard decisions necessary to achieve such a settlement.

On a number of previous occasions Abbas has made his views known.

In a Washington Post article on Sunday, 30 September 2007 he declared, “I say and have always said that east Jerusalem is an occupied territory. We have to restore it.”

On the matter of Israel keeping any part of Judea and Samaria he said the Palestinians “will be flexible” but explained that flexibility as being based on the Arab losses prior to the 1948 Arab/Israeli war and ends at the 1949 armistice lines.

Referring to the amount of land in Judea and Samaria Israel was willing to cede to former PA Chairman Yasser Arafat during the 2000 Camp David talks, Abbas said 92% was “unacceptable.”

In other words the Palestinian offer of all or nothing still stands, i.e., there is no room for compromise.

Jerusalem Re-Divided?

For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.

Jerusalem.

Israel annexed the city in 1967 and proclaimed it to be Israel’s eternal, undivided capital.
Palestinians seek East Jerusalem as their capital.

Successive U.S. Administrations have maintained that the parties must determine the fate of Jerusalem in negotiations. H.Con.Res. 60, June 10, 1997, and S.Con.Res. 21, May20, 1997, called on the Administration to affirm that Jerusalem must remain the undivided capital of Israel.

Congress has repeatedly prohibited official U.S. government business with the PA in Jerusalem and the use of appropriated funds to create U.S. government offices in Israel to conduct business with the PA and allows Israel to be recorded as the place of birth of U.S. citizens born in Jerusalem.

These provisions are again in H.R. 2764, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2008, passed in both houses on December 19, 2007.

The State Department does not recognize Jerusalem, Israel as a place of birth for passports

because the U.S. government does not recognize all of Jerusalem as part of Israel.

A related issue is the relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Proponents argue that Israel is the only country where a U.S. embassy is not in the capital, that Israel’s claim to West Jerusalem, proposed site of an embassy, is unquestioned, and that Palestinians must be disabused of their hope for a capital in Jerusalem.

Opponents say a move would undermine the peace process and U.S. credibility in the Islamic world and with Palestinians, and would prejudge the final status of the city.

P.L. 104-45, November 8, 1995, provided for the embassy’s
relocation by May 31, 1999, but granted the President authority, in national security interest, to suspend limitations on State Department expenditures that would be imposed if the embassy did not open. Presidents Clinton and Bush each used the authority several times.

The State Department Authorization Actf or FY2002-FY2003,
P.L. 107-228, September 30, 2002, urged the President to begin relocating the U.S. Embassy“immediately.

”ThePresident replied that theprovision would “if construed
as mandatory ... impermissibly interfere with the president’s constitutional authority to conduct the nation’s foreign affairs.”

The State Department declared, “our view of Jerusalem is unchanged. Jerusalem is a permanent status issue to be negotiated
between the parties.

Jeremiah 4:10
Then I said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, how completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying, 'You will have peace,' when the sword is at our throats."

Behold, FATAH. Heil Five, MFers.

Isaiah 31:5
Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will 'pass over' it and will rescue it."

Your government DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THAT ALL OF JERUSALEM BELONGS TO ISRAEL.
Neither does your government recognize that all of Israel belongs to GOD.

Psalm 137:5
If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill

Where do you think this is all leading?
Do all of GWB's betrayals start to make sense?

When you see Jerusalem divided, fasten your seatbelts, praise the Lord and pass the ammo cause baby it will be ON...

Psalms Chapter 83

1 A Song, a Psalm of Asaph.
2 O God, keep not Thou silence; hold not Thy peace, and be not still, O God.
3 For, lo, Thine enemies are in an uproar; and they that hate Thee have lifted up the head.
4 They hold crafty converse against Thy people, and take counsel against Thy treasured ones.
5 They have said: 'Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.'
ו כִּי נוֹעֲצוּ לֵב יַחְדָּו; עָלֶיךָ, בְּרִית יִכְרֹתוּ. 6 For they have consulted together with one consent; against Thee do they make a covenant;
ז אָהֳלֵי אֱדוֹם, וְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִים; מוֹאָב וְהַגְרִים. 7 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;
ח גְּבָל וְעַמּוֹן, וַעֲמָלֵק; פְּלֶשֶׁת, עִם-יֹשְׁבֵי צוֹר. 8 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
9 Assyria also is joined with them; they have been an arm to the children of Lot. Selah
י עֲשֵׂה-לָהֶם כְּמִדְיָן; כְּסִיסְרָא כְיָבִין, בְּנַחַל קִישׁוֹן. 10 Do Thou unto them as unto Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon;
11 Who were destroyed at En-dor; they became as dung for the earth.
יב שִׁיתֵמוֹ נְדִיבֵימוֹ, כְּעֹרֵב וְכִזְאֵב; וּכְזֶבַח וּכְצַלְמֻנָּע, כָּל-נְסִיכֵימוֹ. 12 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and like Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes;
13 Who said: 'Let us take to ourselves in possession the habitations of God.'
14 O my God, make them like the whirling dust; as stubble before the wind.
טו כְּאֵשׁ תִּבְעַר-יָעַר; וּכְלֶהָבָה, תְּלַהֵט הָרִים. 15 As the fire that burneth the forest, and as the flame that setteth the mountains ablaze;
16 So pursue them with Thy tempest, and affright them with Thy storm.
17 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Thy name, O LORD.
יח יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲלוּ עֲדֵי-עַד; וְיַחְפְּרוּ וְיֹאבֵדוּ. 18 Let them be ashamed and affrighted for ever; yea, let them be abashed and perish;
19 That they may know that it is Thou alone whose name is the LORD, {N}
the Most High over all the earth.
