Atomic Rooster

Jesus answered:
“Will you really lay down your life for me?
Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows,
you will disown me three times!"

Leaked NSA slide says it infected over 50,000 networks with malware http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/leaked-nsa-slide-says-infected-50000-networks-malware/

A Dutch media firm by the name of NRC reported that one of the NSA’s slides leaked by Snowden reveals that the U.S. spying agency has infected more than 50,000 networks with malware worldwide. To what end? Stealing data, monitoring communications or, as German Chancellor Angela Merkel might put it, the usual.

The infections don’t begin to do the NSA’s bidding from the get-go through. Some of them are installed but then kept inactive by their handlers. The malware can lie asleep and undetected, waiting for its operator to enable it and begin mining data, monitoring conversations, etc. The NSA dubs its methods CNE, or Computer Network Exploitation. These malware-spreading operations are conducted by the TAO, or Tailored Access Operations, which is an arm that operates as a separate department underneath the larger NSA umbrella.

The NSA has infiltrated the networks of and installed malware on networks located all over the world, including Paris, Berlin, Prague, New Delhi, Rome, Bangkok.

The NSA has declined to comment on the matter.

Wal-Mart Stores replaced CEO and President Mike Duke and named Doug McMillon as its new leader after a rough period for the world's largest retailer in which it became embroiled in a bribery scandal.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2013/11/25/wal-mart-ceo/3696819/

Wal-Mart paid bribes in Mexico to speed building permits and gain other favors, The New York Times reported last year. After starting an internal investigation into the allegations, senior Wal-Mart officials halted the probe in 2006 despite having found lots of evidence, the newspaper said.

After initially denying that company directors knew of the bribes paid to Mexican officials, e-mails released earlier this year by U.S. lawmakers appeared to show that Wal-Mart CEO Mike Duke learned about the payments as early as 2005. In May, a U.S. judge ordered Wal-Mart attorneys to turn over more documents to shareholders trying to find out what, and when, directors knew about the Mexico payments.

The U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission are investigating potential evidence of bribery, Wal-Mart disclosed in a Nov. 2012 regulatory filing. The company widened its internal examination of the issue to include "a number of foreign markets where we operate, including but not limited to Brazil, China and India," the filing also stated.

Walmart Workers Plan Raucous Black Friday

    http://labornotes.org/2013/11/walmart-workers-plan-raucous-black-friday

In a recent speech at a Goldman Sachs conference, Walmart U.S. CEO Bill Simon boasted that 475,000 Walmart employees make more than $25,000 a year. OUR Walmart calculated this left 825,000 of Walmart’s 1.3 million direct employees making less.

“That should be embarrassing to my company and outrageous to the rest of America,” said overnight Walmart worker Barbara Gertz in Colorado. “If the CEO of the largest company thinks it’s OK, even notable, there has to be change.”

Even though she works full time and overnight, Goetz says she only makes between $21,000 and $23,000 a year—after five years at the store.

Walmart argued that Simon was talking only about the company’s 1 million store employees. (The other 300,000 include truckers and executives.) Even so, that still leaves more than half of store workers making under $25,000, by the company’s own admission.

Walmart won’t disclose pay figures, except to insist it pays an average of $12.83 an hour. But that average includes management such as CEO Mike Duke, who made $20.7 million in 2012. (The company just announced Duke will step down in February.) More sober estimates place hourly employees at $8.80 on average.

Late CIA Agent/US Ambassador to Libya, Stevens, was a gun runner for al-Qaeda and during the time leading up to his death he was trying to secure the return of 20,000 MANPAD surface to air missiles from al-Qaeda and affiliated groups. These weapons were transferred to radical Islamist elements in Libya to help the US/NATO overthrow the country. Now according to James and JoAnne Moriarity in an interview with the Voice of Russia, al-Qaeda owns Libya, and the only way to get Libya back is through the tribal peoples of Libya, who do not support the fanatical Islamists. According to the Mr. and Mrs. Moriarity Stevens was killed by Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood who were being funded by the US Embassy in Egypt.

Fadi Adawi, former Deputy County Sheriff in California’s Central Valley, took his career from fighting crime on the streets to developing one of the world’s largest websites, InstantCheckmate.com, which helps people be proactive about their safety. As a former law enforcement officer, Fadi learned that looks can be deceiving—criminals often look just like you and me.

Fadi recommends using Instant Checkmate to screen the parents of your children’s friends to know who is supervising their play date…[and] to investigate your college daughter’s new boyfriend to be sure he doesn’t have a criminal record, and much more….

“Instant Checkmate is a great resource to utilize for background checks in order to protect yourself and people you care for—you’d be shocked at what you might find,” said Adawi.

    Surveillance as a Business Model

Really: if you tell a "Do Not Track"-enabled company that you don't want to be tracked, it will stop showing you personalized ads. But your activity will be tracked -- and your personal information collected, sold and used -- just like everyone else's. It's best to think of it as a "track me in secret" law.

IT Expert Proves LG Smart TVs Are Surveillance Devices

Verizon has patented technology that turns a DVR into a personal spying tool to watch Americans in their own homes.

Verizon calls this endeavor FierceCable that is able to display “acute sensitivity in customers’ living rooms: argument sounds prompt ads for marriage counseling, and sounds of cuddling.”

Verizon explains: “If the detection system determines that a couple is arguing, a service provider would be able to send an ad for marriage counseling to a TV or mobile device in the room. If the couple utters words that indicate they are cuddling, they would receive ads for a romantic getaway vacation, a commercial for a contraceptive, a commercial for flowers, or commercials for romantic movies.”

A nuclear strike from Tehran into Israel could kill, estimates say, upwards of twenty million people, completely destroying the Jewish State.

Barack Obama, by acceding to the Iranians’ nuclear ambitions, has given a tremendous impetus to these revenge fantasies, probably not realizing or caring that Iran’s mullahs take the prophesies of the Twelfth Imam very seriously indeed – seriously enough for them to bet the entire world upon them. Obama has just made the odds appear to them to be considerably more favorable than they were just a week ago.

Asserts Burhami: "It's impossible for the Masih [Messiah, Jesus]--peace be upon him--to call for the separation of state and religion, as meaning that politics are to be governed without the Sharia of Allah."

Instead, according to the Salafi leader, the "true" Jesus--the Muslim one, Isa, who is a supporter of Sharia--made that assertion to confirm that conquered populations must pay tribute--jizya; or, in the context of Jesus' discussion concerning the image of Caesar on a coin, that 1st century Jews were obligated to pay tribute to the Romans.

Thus, by rendering tribute to Caesar, Jews were also--as there is no separation between religion and state according to Burhami--rendering unto God what is God's, since it is God (or "Allah") who calls on them to pay tribute, or jizya. That, according to the Salafi party of Egypt is what Jesus meant.

In the backdrop of Burhami's fatwa are growing calls to make Egypt's Christian Copts pay jizya to the state, as they historically did, as the Koran demands, and as vigilante Muslims are currently forcing them to do through violence.

Jan Eliasson urged the Security Council to strengthen the African Union-led force in the country, and to turn it into a UN peacekeeping operation.

The CAR has been in turmoil since rebels seized power in March, with warnings of a possible genocide. France has said it would contribute about 1,000 troops to the force. Currently 2,500 African peacekeepers and 400 French troops - to be increased to 3,600 and 1,200 Senior UN and French officials have warned that a cycle of violence between the Muslim minority, now in power, and the Christian majority could become a genocide.

The 17-Year-Old Who Beheaded Four People Is Out of Jail and Heading for America

Edgar Jimenez Lugo, or "El Ponchis," is an admitted member of Mexico's Beltran Leyva drug cartel and a four-time murderer. And, as of early this morning, he's a free man. Although he's not really a man; at 17, he's still a year shy of adulthood. And after serving three years in a juvenile detention center for his crimes, he's heading back to America, where he's a citizen.

Lugo was arrested December 2010. Then just 14, he'd already killed four people. He told authorities he did so while under the influence of drugs and under threat of death. His victims' headless bodies were founded hanging from a bridge. He said he committed his first murder at age 11.

By then, he hadn't gone to school in years -- he dropped out in third grade, after his grandmother and legal guardian died. She had taken Lugo and his five siblings from their parents in San Diego to Mexico.

After Lugo's arrest, his father admitted to the Los Angeles Times that he "neglected him a little."

No. of Saudi Students in U.S. Doubles in 2 Years

From 2010 to 2012 the number of Saudi Arabians permitted to study in the U.S. doubled, according to a mainstream newspaper report that cites a survey using State Department figures. Last year alone, the number of Saudi students in the U.S. grew to 44,566, an increase of nearly 30% from 2011.

One public university in southern California reports that it has nearly three times the amount of Saudi students than it had in 2010. The drastic increase is attributed to a new Saudi Arabian scholarship program—largely financed by the Islamic government—that encourages students to study abroad. However, this has been going on for years. Osama bin Laden’s billionaire dad sent more than a quarter of his 54 kids to study in America and other foreign countries, the news article points out attributing the information to a book (“The Bin Ladens”) about the family’s history.

Oh, yes, and the Iranian regime would be safe from military action as long as the conversation continues. Indeed, at least one report indicates that the White House made clear to Israel and Saudi Arabia, who have been huddling in the corner a lot of late, that military action against Iran will not be tolerated.

Thus has the United States become the guarantor of the Iranian and Syrian regimes, and of Russian interests in the Middle East. How far we've fallen.

A senior Democrat is lashing out at a provision of the nuclear deal with Iran that could make it easier for the country to repair its aging fleet of civilian aircraft.

A little-noticed provision of the deal paves the way for U.S. companies such as Boeing and General Electric to inspect and repair Iran's American-made planes inside Iran. But Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.), a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs panel and a hawk on Iran, says the planes could be used to promote terrorism and support Syria's Bashar Assad.

    Separation.........of G@Ds government and the one of men..........Matthew 22 :

15 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. 16 They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. 17 Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax[a] to Caesar or not?”

18 But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? 19 Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, 20 and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

    21 “Caesar’s,” they replied.

Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

22 When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away.

The year was 1939, and American businesses, still reeling from the previous year’s recession, decided they wanted an extra week of Christmas shopping. The solution? They asked President Roosevelt to move Thanksgiving up a week.

Roosevelt complied — and confusion and outrage ensued.

Calendar makers were enraged, families ended up celebrating on different days from one another, and some accused the president of embracing communism.

Within three years, Congress had had enough and passed legislation officially setting Thanksgiving as the fourth Thursday of November.

Arlo Guthrie providing a place to bring together individuals for spiritual service, as well as cultural and educational exchange founded the Guthrie Center, an Interfaith Church, in 1991. While claiming it won't allow Iran to acquire nukes, the United States allows Tehran to do so.

Washington's latest effort at the negotiating table leaves Iran with access to billions of dollars and to its belief it can continue enrichment without requiring iron-tight Western verification that Tehran's program is peaceful.

The United States plays no role in joining others truly committed to denying Tehran nuclear weapons. This has created a once unthinkable alliance in the region.

Recognizing President Barack Obama's commitment to stop Iran is a bark lacking bite, Saudi Arabia -- deathly concerned about a nuclear-armed Iran -- now has an aligned interest with another country similarly committed to denying Tehran its goal -- Israel.

An initial agreement granting Israel over-flight rights in the event it attacked Iran has moved the two countries closer together to formulate a joint plan to do what Obama won't.

Saudi Arabia fully understands Iran's threat is real -- something Obama doesn't.

It understands why Iran pursues a nuclear weapon -- to trigger its end-of-world belief of the 12th Imam's return.

It also understands Iran's plan involves wrestling Islam's two most religious sites—Mecca and Medina -- from the Saudis as "Guardians" of same -- a role Iran believes destiny demands it play.

Obama's inaction has also caused the Saudis to renew earlier efforts to acquire a nuclear weapon from Pakistan. If successful, Obama will have triggered a nuclear arms race in the region.

There are signs Saudi Arabia recognizes Israel has the commitment to prevent Iran from going nuclear but may lack the full capability to do so. It understands an Israeli attack may well represent Riyadh's last best hope to stop Iran. Thus, the Saudis want to avoid being left in the situation where Riyadh, alone, has to do so.

Accordingly, once again, it is self-survival motivating Riyadh to join an alliance which for 1,400 years was never thought possible.

In the Persian Gulf War, Israel refused to be drawn into the conflict, knowing the United States. "had its back." As Israel prepares now to step into the void left by Washington's lack of commitment to confront the Iranian threat, it is Saudi Arabia looking to protect Israel's back.

The 3-1/2 years following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor included the building of 28 aircraft carriers, hundreds of surface vessels, Over 100,000 warplanes, etc. Then we took back the conquered land from the Germans and Japanese.
With this boy in the White House, we can't even get a rogue regime to join the rest of the world.

Ailments like anxiety and depression are being diagnosed more and more, and alongside that, the prescription of heavy duty drugs to treat the conditions has grown too.

The use of one drug in particular has skyrocketed. The anti-psychotic commonly marketed as Seroquel is supposed to be used for serious illnesses like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

But a vigorous marketing push by its American manufacturer has led to it being widely used for a range of common complaints, from insomnia to eating disorders.

Now, doctors are warning the drug is being massively overprescribed and the potentially dangerous side-effects are being ignored.

For more than a decade, Heidi has been on the drug Seroquel. An anti-psychotic, it acts as a powerful sedative.

HEIDI EVERETT: So, I was a zombie for 24 hours a day, sleeping incredibly long. When I did finally get out of bed, it was a struggle to get to the kitchen and then what happens on Seroquel is that it freezes your muscles and shuts your muscle system down. So, it's really hard to walk, and when I did walk, I had no control over my ability to stop walking, so I walked into walls.

LOUISE MILLIGAN: She also developed a heart condition known as tachycardia.

HEIDI EVERETT: It's where your heart starts beating extremely fast and out of control, and I don't mean just like a little flurry, I mean for two or three hours of extreme, just pounding, fast heart rate.

LOUISE MILLIGAN: Heidi is not alone.

WOMAN (YouTube footage): Anybody out there that's trying to get off Seroquel, I am feeling for you like you wouldn't believe.

WOMAN II (YouTube footage): I hate it, I absolutely detest it. It's like wading through mud. It's dreadful.

LOUISE MILLIGAN: Seroquel, sold by pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca was approved for use for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Is this public pool giving special privileges to a certain religious group?

Over the past few weeks, the gender-exclusive swimming hours at Tuckwilla’s public pool has ignited a heated debate about whether or not special accommodations should be made for certain groups of people.

One of the sisters, Jamila Farole, explained to King Five News that she needed the private swimming time because her religion did not permit her to swim in the presence of men.

“In Islam, women need to have their privacy and preserve their modesty,” says Farole.

“This isn’t just something I’m doing… It’s a commandment from God; men and women are not to mix together. That’s my religious belief,” Farole said at a recent Tuckwilla city council meeting.
