Something In The Air

The seventh angel
poured out his bowl
into the air,
and out of the temple
came a loud voice
from the throne,
saying, “It is done!”

  2. Robert Ballard, the underwater archaeologist famed for discovering the wreck of the Titanic in 1985, claims to have found evidence of the biblical flood that Noah fled, surfing the waters for 40 days and 40 nights, according to Genesis. He says the Black Sea was once merely a freshwater lake -- until an enormous wall of water from the Mediterranean 200 times more powerful than Niagara Falls swept it and everything else away. Including Noah and his ark.

  3. Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R- UT) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he has been “thwarted” by the State Department from seeing any Americans who survived the deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi. Many people forget that there were Americans who survived the Benghazi attack, some of whom were badly injured and are still recovering.

  8. Top U.S. intelligence officials gathered in the White House Situation Room in March to debate a controversial proposal. Counterterrorism officials wanted to create a government dragnet, sweeping up millions of records about U.S. citizens—even people suspected of no crime.

Not everyone was on board. "This is a sea change in the way that the government interacts with the general public," Mary Ellen Callahan, chief privacy officer of the Department of Homeland Security, argued in the meeting, according to people familiar with the discussions.

A week later, the attorney general signed the changes into effect.

  9. examine the government files of U.S. citizens for possible criminal behavior, even if there is no reason to suspect them. That is a departure from past practice, which barred the agency from storing information about ordinary Americans unless a person was a terror suspect or related to an investigation.

Now, NCTC can copy entire government databases—flight records, casino-employee lists, the names of Americans hosting foreign-exchange students and many others. The agency has new authority to keep data about innocent U.S. citizens for up to five years, and to analyze it for suspicious patterns of behavior. Previously, both were prohibited. Data about Americans "reasonably believed to constitute terrorism information" may be permanently retained.

National Counterterrorism Center Director Matthew Olsen testifies before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on Capitol Hill in January.

The changes also allow databases of U.S. civilian information to be given to foreign governments for analysis of their own. In effect, U.S. and foreign governments would be using the information to look for clues that people might commit future crimes.

The new Baba Zula album is called "Gecekondu," a term used in Turkey for illegal
settlements built on the fringes of major cities like Istanbul or Ankara. These
growing slums, built with the simplest materials, have become home to many
newcomers trying their luck in urban centers.

One could argue, though, that there's more dignity and beauty in the gecekondus
than in the ritzy financial districts now conquering the legendary inner city
areas of Istanbul. One example is a historic district situated in the shadows of
the Byzantine city wall, known as Sulukule, which has been almost completely
    torn down.

The band opposes the gentrification of Istanbul.

A controversial proposal to create a government dragnet, sweeping up millions
of records about U.S. citizens, was signed into effect earlier this year after
much debate. The rules allow the National Counterterrorism Center to examine the
government files of U.S. citizens for possible criminal behavior, even if there
is no reason to suspect them.
    >
    >
    >Through Freedom of Information Act requests and interviews with officials at
numerous agencies, The Wall Street Journal has reconstructed the clash over the
counterterrorism program within the administration of President Obama. The
debate was a confrontation between some who viewed it as a matter of
efficiency--how long to keep data, for instance, or where it should be
stored--and others who saw it as granting authority for unprecedented government
    surveillance of U.S. citizens.

I had some surgery in the Army and had to go outside to smoke. Had an IV and a doboff machine/tube feeding me. The damn thing beeped every two minutes, the doboff. I hated that damned thing, but if fed me.

They wouldn't let me wear any sweats or even a robe my dad brought to me. They insisted that the hospital gown was all that I needed. I went outside anyway to smoke. They must have thought that modesty was enough to convince me not to go out for a smoke. they were wrong. I didn't care if my ass hung out the back other than the fact it was chilly.

Southwest Owes Passengers $29 Million In Free Drinks

August 1, 2010 is a day that many Southwest Airlines Business Select fliers know well. It’s the day on which the carrier stopped allowing these passengers to carry over their unused free drink vouchers to future flights. More than two years and one class-action settlement later, Southwest is having to buy a lot of rounds.

We first wrote about the lawsuit last November, when a Southwest Business Select passenger from Chicago alleged the airline unjustly enriched itself by effectively voiding millions of dollars worth of drink coupons that these customers had not used by the Aug. 1, 2010 date. The named plaintiff in the case had 45 of these vouchers (worth around $5 each) in his possession at the time the policy went into effect.

While Southwest will not be changing its policy back — Business Select passengers must still use their voucher on the day of the flight for which the voucher is given — the Chicago Tribune reports that Southwest passengers who earned these vouchers before the 10/1/2010 date to get new vouchers from the airline. These vouchers will need to be used within one year of being issued.

Since many people no longer have those old, useless vouchers, Southwest will be identifying and notifying eligible travelers in the coming weeks. It will also be setting up a website for affected customers.

The current estimate for the number of vouchers that will be issued is around 5.8 million, which translates to $29 million in free drinks.

Marine double-amputee’s treatment on Delta flight angers other vets

On Dec. 13, 2011, Marine Lance Cpl. Christian Brown was leading his squad on a foot patrol in Afghanistan’s Helmand province when he stepped on an explosive device that blew off both his legs, one above the knee, the other below his hip. He also lost part of his right index finger.

Last Sunday, almost exactly a year since those grievous injuries forced him to learn to walk on two successive pairs of prosthetic legs, Brown was “humiliated” to the point of tears on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Washington after being clumsily wheeled to the back row of the plane, according to a complaint sent to the airline by an outraged fellow passenger.

Thank God they weren't required to actually open fire. They would have ended up killing or injuring a lot more innocent people.

I'm not going to play this game. We had a saying in the Army, "Proper Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance." I scout shit out ahead of time and have little to no sympathy for people who do not plan ahead.

I had nothing to do with this. I wasn't involved. Give me a place and a time and I'll be there,...early. Somehow this is my fault now. I grow weary of this bullshit. I'm the resident drunk and manage my life better than sober people. WTF is wrong with that picture?!!!

20 kids have been murdered in Connecticut and this is what she's worried about? I'm sure she's not aware of this yet, but it certainly puts things into perspective.

some woman carried those children for roughly nine months or maybe more. fathers loved those children more than life itself. the emotional, physical, and financial energy in raising children is enormous. I'll say a prayer for these families. GOD bring them comfort and ease their pain.

    People have no perspective anymore.

I'm still shocked and saddened about the horrible murder of innocent children in Connecticut. I cannot fathom how someone could do this.

A week ago in our neighborhood, a man shot his wife and himself. Their two year old was at home, and their six and eight year old children were at school. A neighbor of mine now has their 5 month old german shephard, Max. Beautiful dog. I can't understand how people can do this.

David Brooks calls for gun control, less media coverage in wake of Sandy Hook shooting

“These kinds of shootings historically have had no effect on public opinion in the gun debate,” Brooks said. “I think if we’re going to control guns, we really have to do it massive. I think I’m all for getting rid of the assault weapons and machine guns and all that … but if we want to prevent something like this, we have to really think seriously about drastically reducing the number of guns in our society, and particularly — this is an old Patrick Daniel Moynihan idea — the number of bullets. It is very hard to control 300 million guns. The bullets are a little easier to control.”

"Now is the time for a national policy on guns that takes the loopholes out of the laws, the automatic weapons out of our neighborhoods and the tragedies like today out of our future." (Gun Grabber-America Hater Boston Mayor Mennino)

There is no law on earth that can take tragedy out of our future. The guns used today were apparently semi-automatic, not automatic. And as for the loopholes in the law, there is no evidence of any loopholes exploited by the perpetrator. As mentioned, Connecticut has some of the most stringent gun laws in the nation -- which is why Menino is calling for a national gun policy, since he clearly can't blame Connecticut's gun policy.

But all of that won’t stop the radical left from politicizing the shootings with minutes. And it hasn’t.

The Executive Director of CAIR-Chicago, Ahmed Rehab, is featured in the videos below.

Ads have gone up on buses in that city that say things like, “My Jihad is to build friendships across the aisle” and “My Jihad is to build bridges through friendship” and “My Jihad is not to judge people by their cover”. That last one is our personal favorite because we actually agree with it. We are not judging CAIR or this campaign at all by its cover. That “cover” is what we warn you about.

  177. Here come the grief counselors, over the hill, pouring into Newtown, Connecticut

    By Jon Rappoport

    December 15, 2012

    www.nomorefakenews.com

You may as well say that, from this point on, the rest of the events in Newtown, Connecticut, will be brought to you by Merck, Glaxo, and Pfizer.

Media outlets are already reporting that "a raft of services" will be available for the children of Sandy Hook Elementary school, and the Newtown community, where Adam Lanza killed 26 people yesterday.

This is phase two. It always happens at these mass murder events. The grief counselors. The social service workers. The psychologists.

They pour in. And they end up referring people to psychiatrists, who will in turn prescribe some of the very drugs that trigger murder and suicide.

The drugs that cause people to kill.

This is one way the psychiatric drug industry spreads its heinous influence.

The sequence is always the same, because it's set up that way. After the mass murders and the shock and the horror, the grief industry arrives, and then come the referrals to psychiatric drug pushers, along with the memorials and the "healing."

The entire mass-shooting aftermath is laid on as a cover, to deflect REAL investigation into what happened.

So here is the first real question.

    WHO WAS ADAM LANZA'S DOCTOR?

I kept asking this question about James Holmes, the accused Aurora theater shooter. Finally, it emerged that, indeed, he'd been seeing Lynne Fenton, a psychiatrist at the U of Colorado.

Now, in Newtown, Connecticut, it's Adam Lanza, whom his brother describes as having had a personality disorder.

If the school shooter was seeing a psychiatrist, we want to know who the doctor is, now. We want a list of all medications Lanza was taking, now.

We know these drugs' effects. We know a number of psychiatric drugs cause brain storms that push people into committing suicide and homicide.

Newtown is a small community. Somebody there can step up and say who the doctor is. Do it now. The police can't be depended on to do it. You people in Newtown want to save yourselves from another horror down the line, get the name of the doctor and make it public.

What are we waiting for? Do you think the major media are going to tear away the curtain and tell us anything important? We don't need official confirmation that the drugs, like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, and Ritalin are causing people to go crazy and kill. It's in the literature. I've cited the references time and time again. We have to have a public uproar. This killing has to stop.

Expose the drugs, once and for all. Expose the doctors who prescribe them knowing full well what effects they have. Expose the pharmaceutical companies that sell them knowing what they do. Expose the FDA for permitting the drugs to be given in the first place.

Do we need a hundred more of these insane shootings before we wake up? Do we need to stand by and let the government blame it on guns?

    Who was Adam Lanza's doctor?

    Who was his doctor?

The op is to keep the people in Newtown in shock, grief, and "we're all in this together" long enough to avert a true investigation.

  179. Let me pitch in here with the unpopular European perspective on your gun culture...If some nerd walks into a school with a gun and I am there, he will kill me and then go on to kill children. If he walks in with a whack stick, he will get it shoved up his arse and will have his head banged off of four walls and flushed down the toilet before the police arrive to arrest me....Not a perfect situation I agree, but that's how it is. Anyway, the point is guns only serve to empower the sickly, sad gobshites who intend to do harm to the innocent. If they don't have them, there are generally enough ugly but well meaning brutes like me who don't need a gun to deal with them. Your American logic is quite bizarre and I'm not convinced that you even believe it yourselves. You have guns because you want them. We don't have them because we don't want them. Our laws reflect the atittude of the majority. There's nothing 'radical left' about it.
