The strongest yet greeted last month's call by Marton Gyongyosi, who runs Jobbik's foreign policy cabinet, for Jewish
members of government and parliament to be listed in the wake of Israel's recent military campaign to stop rocket fire from Gaza.

"I think such a conflict makes it timely to tally up people of Jewish ancestry who live here, especially in the Hungarian parliament and the Hungarian government, who, indeed, pose a national security risk to Hungary," he told parliament.

Just remember to stick with alcohol and bloodletting and avoid that wacky weed..

In Western Europe for instance, the Holy Roman Catholic Church strictly forbade the use of Cannabis and any other medical treatment, except for alcohol and bloodletting, for 1200 years and more.

Finally, a comment that will enrage the beautiful people. The whole world is rightly overwrought and crazed with grief over the murder of twenty totally innocent and blameless souls last Friday in Newtown. It was and is a catastrophe for the ages.

But Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promises to kill every Jew in Israel and then in the whole world, including babies… and he had his defenders, even at the Democratic National Convention. And it was daily life in Nazi-occupied Europe from 1939 to 1941 to kill thousands of Jewish children every day. But powerful, intelligent men and women in this country defended Hitler, spoke up for him and for keeping America from even sending arms to Britain when England stood alone. What are we to make of that? No one even mentions, no one even knows about the horrendous Armenian genocide by the Turks in 1915, when well over a million of the most talented people on the planet were wantonly murdered — and the world has still not officially called it genocide — and Hitler explicitly said it was a model for him. Who today even talks of the purposeful mass starvation of millions of beautiful Ukrainian children by Stalin? The U.S. did not say one word about it as a government. The U.S. still will not confront Turkey seriously about the Armenian children.

Re; the Sandy Hook shootings,....obviously a horrible and sad tragedy. Everyone is asking "what could we have done to stop this?" Take a page out of Israels notebook. That 95 pound elementary teacher is better trained with the Mini-Uzi than our own local LEO's are with their own side-arms. There is a reason this doesn't happen in Israel. There is a reason that El-Al hasn't had a hijacking in modern memory. They don't let it happen. Our government gives us TSA for travel, would like to disarm society, and we'll still be at risk. Just look at D.C. and Chicago as examples in futility. We're at war and people can bury their heads in the sand, but they shouldn't be surprised when they are soon shot in the ass. It is inevitable.

The racers include Syrian rebels in pickup trucks with mounted machine guns and homemade tanks, toting weapons and equipment supplied and paid for by Qatar and Turkey, and more covertly by the British and French intelligence services. Racing along with them are carloads of international diplomats urging their governments to give the militias more money and more weapons.

As a freshman at Columbia University in 1970, future Attorney General Eric Holder participated in a five-day occupation of an abandoned Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) headquarters with a group of black students later described by the university’s Black Students’ Organization as “armed,” The Daily Caller has learned.

Department of Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler has not responded to questions from The Daily Caller about whether Holder himself was armed — and if so, with what sort of weapon.

Holder was then among the leaders of the Student Afro-American Society (SAAS), which demanded that the former ROTC office be renamed the “Malcolm X Lounge.” The change, the group insisted, was to be made “in honor of a man who recognized the importance of territory as a basis for nationhood.”

(CNN) -- Dick's Sporting Goods, one of the largest sporting goods retailers in the world, says it has removed all guns from its store nearest to Newtown, Connecticut, and is suspending the sale of certain kinds of semi-automatic rifles from its chains nationwide.

The move was made out of respect for the victims and families of last week's Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting "during this time of national mourning," the store said in a statement Tuesday morning.

"We continue to extend our deepest sympathies to those affected by this terrible tragedy," the statement said.

Perhaps not to be is to be without your being,

without your going, that cuts noon light

like a blue flower, without your passing

    later through fog and stones,

without the torch you lift in your hand

that others may not see as golden,

that perhaps no one believed blossomed

the glowing origin of the rose,

without, in the end, your being, your coming

suddenly, inspiringly, to know my life,

blaze of the rose-tree, wheat of the breeze:

and it follows that I am, because you are:

it follows from ‘you are’, that I am, and we:

and, because of love, you will, I will,

    We will, come to be.

We had *Thanksgiving* leftovers tonight too, Bulgar. Once again I am as stuffed as the boid.

Since the man missed a homemade Thanksgiving dinner by being in the hospital (we had dinner in the cafeteria... NOT the same), I made the whole shebang for Sunday dinner. Turkey, stuffing AND dressing (stuffing is when you put it inside the bird; dressing is the same dish but baked on the side), glazed garnet yams, roasted Brussels sprouts with browned butter and toasted pecans, Waldorf salad and (his choice, not mine) store-bought jellied cranberry sauce.

I didn't see them, but I sure as hell heard them. The owls were somewhere up in the trees in my backyard this morning when I went out for a smoke. A pair of them and they were raising hell over something.

Sadly they were gone when I went back out for another smoke later on.

Years ago I was out working on the deck. I looked up from my computer and saw a big owl staring back at me. He was on the giant wooden play set, swing set we put out for the kids. Moments after we locked eyes, that huge bastard launched himself and flew directly at me,....before veering off the bird came within maybe a foot of my face, and flew around the side of the house. I felt the wind generated from his enormous wings (est. 5.5 to 6 ft.) as he flew around the side of the house and vanished. Needless to say, I nearly shit myself from this encounter.

They are magnificent creatures. I love owls, always have,...but I have a healthy respect for these big guys.

  160. Belgium looks at euthanasia for minors, Alzheimer's sufferers

    Created 18/12/2012 - 23:09

Belgium is considering a significant change to its decade-old euthanasia law that would allow minors and Alzheimer's sufferers to seek permission to die.

The proposed changes to the law were submitted to parliament Tuesday by the Socialist party and are likely to be approved by other parties, although no date has yet been put forward for a parliamentary debate.

"The idea is to update the law to take better account of dramatic situations and extremely harrowing cases we must find a response to," party leader Thierry Giet said.

The draft legislation calls for "the law to be extended to minors if they are capable of discernment or affected by an incurable illness or suffering that we cannot alleviate."

Belgium was the second country in the world after the Netherlands to legalise euthanasia in 2002 but it applies only to people over the age of 18.

Socialist Senator Philippe Mahoux, who helped draft the proposed changes, said there had been cases of adolescents who "had the capacity to decide" their future.

He said parliamentarians would also consider extended mercy-killing to people suffering from Alzheiner's-type illnesses.

Euthanasia was allowed to an Alzheimer's patient for the first time in the Netherlands last year.

In Belgium, some 1,133 cases -- mostly for terminal cancer -- were recorded in 2011, about one percent of all deaths in the country, according to official figures.

A seriously ill prisoner serving a long jail sentence this year became the first inmate to die under Belgium's euthanasia laws.

  170. By any standard that’s a remarkable correction. Let me rephrase it without the Times‘s defensive use of “imprecisely.” A more honest correction would have said this: “The Times reported, not as opinion but as fact in a news story, that the new construction being planned by Israel would cut Ramallah and Bethlehem off from Jerusalem, divide the West Bank in two, and make a contiguous Palestinian state impossible. None of those assertions was true, so we have to withdraw all of them.”
