In a radio interview, Mr. Dureza said this was part of discussions during President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s meeting with OIC Secretary-General Elmeddin Ihsanoglu in New York last week.
"I was present during the President’s meeting with OIC Secretary-General Elmeddin Ihsanoglu. They [OIC] offered to help in the administration of Shari’a courts in Mindanao. They said they can train our Shari’a personnel and the magistrates who implement the Shari’a laws in the Muslim areas," he said.
