Clerics urge "new jihad" over Gaza;

At a weekend meeting in Istanbul, 200 religious scholars and clerics met senior Hamas officials to plot a new jihad centred on Gaza.

The BBC's Bill Law was the only Western journalist at the meeting.

So.. why is he the only western journalist allowed at the meeting, why is he jihadi approved?

To laughter in the audience, another speaker noted that twice as many babies were born as children were killed during the war.

Every death, I was told, was a martyrdom on the road to liberation.

For the hardline sheikhs, it was an opportunity to underline what they see as the growing gulf between Arab regimes who are hesitant to back Hamas and the people of the region who, they say, embrace Hamas as heroes fighting against overwhelming odds.

More importantly, this conference represented something of a coup for Hamas. They were promised weapons, money and fighters.

The question remains whether such rhetoric can or will be translated into action. Israel keeps a tight blockade on the Gaza Strip, where Hamas exercises de facto control, and Israel's other borders are also heavily guarded.

But at the very least this statement of intent from Sunni hardliners poses new challenges, not just to the Israelis and to Western efforts to broker a peace deal but to Arab regimes as well.

My guess is he "belongs" to Hamas, he's their boy at the BBC.

After the president's pronouncements about the prohibition of lobbyists in his administration, we now know that he would like to have William Lynn, a former lobbyist with Raytheon, for a key role in the Department of Defense. Raytheon is a major contractor with the Pentagon.

Add to this the selection of Mark Patterson to be the chief of staff for Tim Geithner. Patterson was a lobbyist for Goldman Sachs, the major investment firm.

A reporter from World Net Daily (WND) has claimed that the New Media Journal and Canada Free Press were incorrect in reporting that President Barack Obama recently issued a presidential determination to allocate $20.3 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Act to enable refugees from the conflict in Gaza to relocate in the United States.

The rejoinder, penned by Aaron Klein, appeared as WND's lead story on Sunday, February 15.

It took to task the statement that the $20.3 million would be used to relocate thousands of HAMAS supporters to the United States. Mr. Klein insisted that the money would not be used for this purpose but that the presidential determination stipulated that the funds were to be used for "distributing emergency food assistance, providing medical assistance and temporary shelter, creating temporary employment, and restoring access to electricity and potable water."

But such wording is not contained in the determination and the notion that the $20.3 million in funds can only be used to alleviate the refugee situation within the borders of Gaza appears to come from an unofficial memo or the reporter's fanciful imagination.

The order contains no further wording and no addendum, let alone the stipulation reported by Mr. Klein. The purpose of the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund is "to provide U.S. resettlement opportunities to refugees" so that "U.S. admissions programs may become more responsive to critical refugee rescue needs." Since this is the purpose of the legislation, it should be abundantly clear to any perceptive reader that the funds are earmarked for the resettlement of thousands of Palestinians in the United States - - not for the alleviation of conditions in Gaza.

The order signed by President Obama follows a pattern of Islamic rapprochement that he established as soon as he took a seat within the Oval Office. His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory. His first one on one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television. He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.

He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed. He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11 The directive should be a matter of grave concern to all American citizens, but even more alarming is Klein's contention that the $20.3 million will be handed over to the nefarious, terror-supporting, UNRWA....otherwise known as the HAMAS Central Bank.

$20 million can train a lot of terrorists and buy a lot of bombs and missiles. Readers may take heart in the realization that the WND is in error and that Klein fails a make a distinction between the presidential determination and an unofficial memo.

Darwingelical Propaganda and the Evolution of Belief

(DICK) Dawkins goes much further when he states that "[i]t is absolutely safe to say that if you meet somebody who claims not to believe in evolution, that person is ignorant, stupid, or insane (or wicked, but I'd rather not consider that)."

OK. Language check here for all you purple proles. This is a war for your BELIEF SYSTEM:

"to believe in evolution"

I want you to notice how the language in this so called "debate" is consistently posited as stated as above, that one must "BELIEVE IN EVOLUTION" or not BELIEVE IN evolution, and if one does not "BELIEVE" in evolution, one is an unhinged lunatic upon whom ridicule, derision and scorn must be heaped immediately.

Evolution is a partially described biological MECHANISM, it is not an a scientifically identifiable originating CAUSE. Science, taken as a school of thought, offers no identifiable originating cause.

This statement is more accurately then a statement of THEOLOGY or PHILOSOPHY, which both deal with BELIEFS and IDEAS, and not at all a statement of science, which purports itself loudly to deal purely with physical evidence and observable, provable processes only.

An observable, describable, working mechanism, biological or man made, is self evident as a mechanism. It either exists or does not exist, there is no call to "believe IN it " or no, it either is there and can be seen, described, and "proven", or not. I do not believe in my lungs, they are there, and they work, as evidenced by my continued breathing. They can be seen, described, and proven. My lungs are not the cause of my body. They are an obvious and observable operating mechanism contained within it.

What the Darvangelists are doing with language here is elevating a partially described MECHANISM (evolution) to the level of a fully blown CAUSE (GOD). They are deifying a PROCESS because they refuse to acknowledge, can not identify, and are, on some level ~ at war with the MAKER.

This is not a legitimate "debate". The terms and definitions it is being premised upon are entirely intellectually dishonest. This is insanity. This is classical idol worship. This is PROPAGANDA.

This is an all out war for the terms and definitions you, the spudniktariats, will use to define your reality in your brave new Glow Ballin' future. They want the control of the words in your mouth. He that owns your words, your terms and definitions, controls thought itself. Whether you believe in GOD or not, you can not allow this theft of thought to take place if you intend to stay free. Do not become their next useful idiot. Unfortunately, many have already evolved themselves into that regrettable position.

If science claims to want religion to stay the hell out of it's business then science would do well to stay the hell out of religion's business. Why should any scientists give a rat's ass what you BELIEVE? Because their end game is to own and direct what you believe, which has shit to do with science... but has all to do with power.
