Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey

I do not hide your righteousness
in my heart;
I speak of your faithfulness
and your saving help.
 I do not conceal your love
 and your faithfulness
from the great assembly.

    China's official news agency has called for the creation of a "de-Americanised world", saying the destinies of people should not be left in the hands of a hypocritical nation with a dysfunctional government.

    Heaping criticism and caustic ridicule on Washington, the Xinhua news agency called the US a civilian slayer, prisoner torturer and meddler in others' affairs, and said the 'Pax Americana' was a failure on all fronts.

    The official news agency of China, which is seen as the pretender to the world's superpower crown, then rubbed in more salt, calling American economic pre-eminence just a seeming dominance.

    "As US politicians of both political parties are still shuffling back and forth between the White House and the Capitol Hill without striking a viable deal to bring normality to the body politic they brag about, it is perhaps a good time for the befuddled world to start considering building a de-Americanised world," the editorial said.

    Is this for real? It’s not King Barack’s land; it’s supposed to be the people’s land, and his most groveling and unworthy subjects shouldn’t require a dispensation by His Benign Majesty to set foot on it. It is disturbing how easily large numbers of Americans lapse into a neo-monarchical prostration that few subjects of actual monarchies would be comfortable with these days. But then in actual monarchies the king takes a more generous view of “public lands.” Two years after Magna Carta, in 1217, King Henry III signed the Charter of the Forest, which despite various amendments and replacement statutes remained in force in Britain for some three-quarters of a millennium, until the early Seventies. If Magna Carta is a landmark in its concept of individual rights, the Forest Charter played an equivalent role in advancing the concept of the commons, the public space. Repealing various restrictions by his predecessors, Henry III opened the royal forests to the freemen of England, granted extensive grazing and hunting rights, and eliminated the somewhat severe penalty of death for taking the king’s venison. The NPS have not yet fried anyone for taking King Barack’s deer, but it is somewhat sobering to reflect that an English peasant enjoyed more freedom on the sovereign’s land in the 13th century than a freeborn American does on “the people’s land” in the 21st century http://www.nationalreview.com/node/361057/print

    cuz lock your doors load your guns they cut off ebt cards nationwide” - Twitter

    They voted for Obama for the free stuff. Now the free stuff isn’t happening. So they riot.

    Today, the Electronic Benefits Transfer system (electronic food stamps debit card) went down in several states due to a computer glitch, and Obama voters are going nuts on Twitter, threatening mass rioting. This is free government money gone bad and exactly what’s wrong with our country.

    According to WoodTV (NBC 8),

    NBC News reports several states were affected by the glitch. The USDA released a statement saying:“EBT cards in a number of states have temporarily stopped working today due to a technical issue that the vendor that serves these states is experiencing. The vendor is working to fix this issue and EBT cards will work again once it is resolved. This issue is not related to the government shutdown.”

    What: Veterans March To Take Back Our War Memorials

    When: Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 9:00 AM

    Where: World War II Memorial, Washington, DC

    Why: The Obama Administration is using the government shutdown as an excuse to keep our veterans from acknowledging the debt owed to them and their predecessors. This is unforgivable. It is also unjustified, as no taxpayer funds are spent by keeping these shrines open. We will open them ourselves, if that's what it takes.

    Be with Special Operations Speaks on Sunday as we join other veteran-support organizations in repossessing what belongs to us and the nation, not to a bunch of political hypocrites.

    Keep up to date on this event by checking our website: www.vetmarch.com. The latest information will be posted as soon as it's available.

    We know that there may be some degree of confrontation, given the anti-military attitude of the administration. It is our intention to avoid confrontation, and we request that you join us in avoiding any kind of physical contact with Park Rangers, police, or other law-enforcement personnel. Give them no excuse to hijack the moment.

    Pass the word. BE THERE!

    The River of Bees (from Merwin's The Second Four Books of Poems)

    In a dream I returned to the river of bees
    Five orange trees by the bridge and
    Beside two mills my house
    Into whose courtyard a blindman followed
    The goats and stood singing
    Of what was older

    Soon it will be fifteen years

    He was old he will have fallen into his eyes

    I took my eyes
    A long way to the calendars
    Room after room asking how shall I live

    One of the ends is made of streets
    One man processions carry through it
    Empty bottles their
    Image of hope
    It was offered to me by name

    Once once and once
    In the same city I was born
    Asking what shall I say

    He will have fallen into his mouth
    Men think they are better than grass

    I return to his voice rising like a forkful of hay

    He was old he is not real nothing is real
    Nor the noise of death drawing water

    We are the echo of the future

    On the door it says what to do to survive
    But we were not born to survive
    Only to live

    In 2011, General Michael Hayden, who had earlier been director of both the National Security Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency, described the idea of computer hardware with hidden “backdoors” planted by an enemy as “the problem from hell.” This month, news reports based on leaked documents said that the NSA itself has used that tactic, working with U.S. companies to insert secret backdoors into chips and other hardware to aid its surveillance efforts.

    That revelation particularly concerned security experts because Hayden’s assessment is widely held to be true. Compromised hardware is difficult, and often impossible, to detect. Hardware can do things such as access data in ways invisible to the software on a computer, even security software. The possibility that computer hardware in use around the world might be littered with NSA backdoors raises the prospect that other nations’ agencies are doing the same thing, or that groups other than the NSA might find and exploit the NSA’s backdoors. Critics of the NSA say the untraceable nature of hardware flaws, and the potential for building them into many systems, also increases the risk that intelligence agencies that place them will be tempted to exceed legal restrictions on surveillance.

    F-35s to carry Israeli developed helmet display

    Pentagon announces Elbit, its US partner to be sole supplier of helmets to all stealth aircraft . Deal worth more than $1 billion over 10 years

    Ha Ha Ha! I have been writing about this for years! Without Israeli optics and advanced avionics.... the F-22 & F-35's cannot compete with 35 yr. old F-15-F16's modified by the IAF.

    From 2001: BusterVooDoo

    Heaven forbid that I should boast about the IAF's clear superiority in talent and technology......read the article and make up your own mind.

    Fighter Tactics

    New SRAAMs are faster than the AIM-9 (due to larger motors or smaller wings) and have new infrared (IR) dome materials which do not blind the seeker when they are heated by air friction. With imaging infrared (IIR) seekers, they are just as effective against a non-afterburning target as against a full-reheat target. Under some circumstances, a modern SRAAM is a BVR missile, capable of being cued on to the target by aircraft sensors and locking on to it at an extreme range of 12-20km. "You can expect to be engaged from about 80km inbound and enter a [MRAAM] no-escape zone shortly thereafter," notes the BAE paper. The commit decision must be made sooner and, if the target pilot commits, the target will enter an SRAAM no-escape zone.

    Once the fighters 'merge' - that is, their momentum takes them within SRAAM range of each other, so that the first fighter to attempt to escape will offer his opponent an open tail-on shot - improved SRAAMs and helmet-mounted display (HMD) technology multiply the opportunities for WVR shots. It is no longer necessary to point the aircraft towards the adversary; any target within the field of regard of the missile seeker can be engaged instantly.

    According to one source, US Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornets from the Balkans theater recently engaged in mock combat with Israeli Air Force fighters. The Hornets were armed with AIM-9s, and the Israeli fighters carried Python 3 and Python 4 missiles and Elbit DASH helmet sights. IDR's source describes the results as "more than ugly", the Israelis prevailing in 220 out of 240 engagements.

    There are lessons to be learned from this engagement and other tests which have shown similar results. One is that modern HMDs and SRAAMs are essential. A second lesson is that WVR combat is extremely dangerous and will become more so. "We'll see less dogfighting once we get the ability to engage targets 90º off the nose," says Shaw. "Somebody's going to get a shot, and if the missile is lethal you're going to get hit." Even the recent history of engagements suggests that the 'furball' of fighter combat, with multiple engagements spread across miles of sky, is on its way out. "We don't see a history of high-g maneuvering in recent engagements," says one industry analyst. "It's fun to practice but unwise to pursue."

    The US Department of Defense announced it will abort the development of a helmet mounted display system (HDMS) for its F-35 stealth aircraft in favor of the model developed by the Israeli company Elbit

    As 4,000 F-35s are currently set for manufacture, the DoD's announcement means a contract worth more than $1 billion over 10 years.

    In addition, the helmet enables the pilot to "see through" the aircraft, by displaying footage from cameras set in various spots on its frame, including its underside, a feature especially useful in dogfights and bombing missions.

    The Israeli helmet will be part and parcel of all stealth aircraft produced starting in 2016, including the 100 ordered by Turkey. Ironically, should the US's allies in the Persian Gulf such as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain place an order, they will be forced to use the Israeli-developed HDMS.

  44. What Gottschalk has stumbled upon is our own homegrown version of Stalinism: the process by which triumphant radicals first challenge and then commandeer both traditional values and the instruments of state repression for their own purposes as they trade ideological purity for power.

    Since the inception of their Revolution – and well beneath the media radar screen – militants have been creating a panoply of new crimes and expanded redefinitions of existing crimes – all involving sexual relations. While it is very likely that the sexual revolution has also increased incidents of real sex crimes, the new gender crimes are different: they exploit the fear of sex crimes, but they redefine these politically to include not simply acts but deviations from orthodox political doctrines. The reality of the witch hunts thus bears no necessary relation to what is suggested by the inflammatory language and jargon:
    “rape” that includes consensual relations and in most instances is no more than that;
    domestic “violence” that involves no violence or any physical contact or threat of it;
    sexual “harassment” that can mean anything from simple flirtation to unauthorized opinions about morality or politics;
    “child abuse” that is routine parental discipline, or homeschooling, or concocted altogether to win advantage in divorce court;
    “bullying” that involves criticism of the homosexual agenda or other differences of belief and opinion;
    “that is forcibly divorced fathers trying to see their own children;

    And much more.

Officials identified the man as 66-year-old James Henry, a retired US Army officer who arrived in Cairo on Augut 25. They said Henry was detained in the turbulent region of northern Sinai three days later.

    Officials say Henry was flown to the Suez Canal city of Ismailia and held in police custody pending charges. They say Henry was found dead Sunday after using his belt and shoe laces to hang himself. (AP)

    All of this is the basis for “Captain Phillips,” starring Tom Hanks as the titular, real-life hero. The only problem, say some members of the real Capt. Phillips’ crew, is none of it is true.

    Capt. Richard Phillips, they say, is no hero, and the film is one big lie.

    Post-America 2013: Bed bugs completely shut down Denver high school until Wednesday

    “When the bugs were discovered, students and faculty were immediately removed, and the Denver Public Schools Pest Control team conducted a treatment of the area,” the letter says. “On the two occasions that they visited campus, the team assessed the situation and determined that we do not have an infestation.”

    The exterminators did their dirty work on Saturday, reports CBS Denver.

    West High School will reopen on Wednesday.

    Students will only miss one school day. They already have Monday off because it’s Babba's Birthday.

    Bronx Cops ‘lied’ to reach arrest quotas

    A former city prosecutor wants the Bronx district attorney to probe a team of narcotics cops he says lied on the stand and helped put away innocent people to meet quotas.

    Peter Tilem, a criminal defense lawyer and one-time ADA, has submitted an allegedly damning August deposition to Bronx DA Robert Johnson and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly from a former narcotics detective on the team.

    The ex-cop, Genaro Morales, testifying in an unrelated case, admitted that he knew of cops who lied under oath when he worked in the Bronx narcotics unit from the mid-1990s to 2006.

    The cops “were under tremendous pressure,’’ Tilem says in the letter. They would “fabricate stories of drug possession or drug sale in order to get their required number of arrests.’’

    Morales was being crossed-examined by strip-club owner Sam Zherka in a civil caseover a commercial-business dispute, and Zherka, acting as his own lawyer and referring to himself in the third person, asked him:

    “Did you ever state to Mr. Zherka, ‘We put away some poor slob in The Bronx?’ ”

    “I’m sure it did happen. I just don’t remember the exact conversation we had,” Morales replied about the 2010 incident.

    Morales acknowledged that he knew of other detectives who lied to support their arrests.

    MANSFIELD, LA (KSLA) -

    Shelves in Walmart stores in Springhill and Mansfield, LA were reportedly cleared Saturday night, when the stores allowed purchases on EBT cards even though they were not showing limits.

    The chaos that followed ultimately required intervention from local police, and left behind numerous carts filled to overflowing, apparently abandoned when the glitch-spurred shopping frenzy ended.

    Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd confirms they were called in to help the employees at Walmart because there were so many people clearing off the shelves. He says Walmart was so packed, "It was worse than any black Friday" that he's ever seen.

    Lynd explained the cards weren't showing limits and they called corporate Walmart, whose spokesman said to let the people use the cards anyway. From 7 to 9 p.m., people were loading up their carts, but when the cards began showing limits again around 9, one woman was detained because she rang up a bill of $700.00 and only had .49 on her card. She was held by police until corporate Walmart said they wouldn't press charges if she left the food.

    My analysis of the Javascript running Healthcare.gov
    I have personally looked at the Javascript code running part of the Healthcare.gov website. If you are curious how I got the code, I simply typed the URL of the Javascript code into the browser address field. The browser then pulls up the entire code block, because Javascript is client-side code (not server-side).

    What I am seeing in this code is nothing short of jaw-dropping. As people are now saying, this code is "CRAAAAAZY!" You almost can't even call it Javascript code. If you sat down 100 monkeys in front of 100 typewriters and told them to start banging away, I'm confident at least one of them would come up with something far better than the Healthcare.gov Javascript code.

    In fact, I am practically ROFLMAO just looking at this code. Any competent programmer in the world, upon seeing this, would just burst their britches in knowing the U.S. government spent $600+ million dollars on this project. Inside the code, the Javascript programmer comments are just off-the-charts hilarious.

    "It was very surreal," said Victoria Sewell, a WWU senior, who walked into the fracas Saturday night on her way to a friend's house. "There were so many police cars and people. I've never seen anything like that in Bellingham."

    Several dozen U.S. Army active duty and reserve troops were told last week that the American Family Association, a well-respected Christian ministry, should be classified as a domestic hate group because the group advocates for traditional family values.

    The briefing was held at Camp Shelby in Mississippi and listed the AFA alongside domestic hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazis, the Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam.

    A soldier who attended the briefing contacted me and sent me a photograph of a slide show presentation that listed AFA as a domestic hate group. Under the AFA headline is a photograph of Westboro Baptist Church preacher Fred Phelps holding a sign reading “No special law for f***.”

    American Family Association has absolutely no affiliation with the controversial church group known for picketing the funerals of American service members.

    The owner of a woodlot near Grand Falls N.B. told the CBC he’s lucky to be alive after a bear attacked him in the forest.

    Gilles Cyr was out for a walk through his woodlot when suddenly a large black object ran out of the woods and attacked him. To prevent the bear from killing him, Cyr grabbed its tongue in a desperate bid for survival.

    “When I opened up my eyes it was on top of me – with the friggin’ noise, it’s crazy the way it growls. Right from the stomach. It’s not from the mouth, it’s just inside. His mouth was wide open right in front of my face so the last thing I remember I had his tongue in my hand and I didn’t want to let go because he was trying to fight me off. So he was hitting me with his claws, so I says, ‘If you’re going to hurt me, I’m going to hurt you too.’ So he was biting his tongue at the same time,” said Cyr.

    Cyr explained he grabbed the bears tongue out of instinct and managed to escape behind a tree. The bear still managed to claw his stomach and bit his knee. The animal eventually lost interest and decided to walk away.
