“He said, ‘I would just hate for anything to happen,’” recalled the source. Capobianco then rattled off a list of the source’s home address, his wife’s name, his kids and their current whereabouts.

“I’m a combat veteran, and I have never in my life been as frightened as I was in that phone call when he started naming my family members and where they were and what they were doing,” recalled the source. “From that point forward I wasn’t polite to him. I told him exactly what he could do with himself, what he could do with his union, and what he could do with his threats.”

The source contacted police and hired a security company to check on his house and his family. LGS also implemented security cameras at its operating sites.

Agoglia was aware of the threats, but said Capobianco’s statements stopped short of illegal harassment, according to his counsel.

“It’s not against the law to discuss that they are aware that you have family members and where they go to school,” he said. “It’s very intimidating, but it may not be crossing the legal line.

On Sunday, President Morsi appointed Adel al-Khayat of the Gamaa al-Islamiyya party as Governor of Luxor, a region home to the ruins of two temples and several monuments, widely known as the “open air museum.” The party, Gamaa al-Islamiyya, not only holds conservative views against sunbathing, women wearing shorts, and alcohol, but is also responsible for the 1997 attack in Luxor that killed 60 tourists. The New York Times reports:

“A fatwa, or religious decree, published on the Gamaa al-Islamiyya’s Web site advised members of the group not to build tourist accommodations. ‘Because tourist villages have aspects that anger Allah, including alcohol, gambling and other forbidden things, building these hotels and villages is considered aiding their owners in sin and aggression, and is not permitted,’ the decision read.”

    NEWSBUSTED: NSA Auto-Corrects Public's Anti-Obama Emails BEFORE They're Sent
Holy Cow! Just wait till this hits the House Judiciary Committee. Many people have been upset with the Scandalpolooza surrounding the Obama administration including the IRS targeting of Tea Parties and the NSA targeting of--well just about every body, but the controversy is about to get much worse. In a new exclusive report by Newsbusted anchor Jodie Miller (see video below) we learn that not only can the NSA read your emails, but they can Auto-Correct them before they are even sent. JPFO 1/1000 $20 Drawing: Serbu BFG-50A Semi-Auto .50BMG

Serbu Manufacturing was contacted by NYPD S.W.A.T. for a quote on this rifle, but turned them down. It was explained that if it was not legal to sell such a rifle to a New York Citizen (per the so-called “SAFE Act,”) he would not consider selling it to the cops.

But YOU can have a chance of owning this superb .50 cal, semi-auto rifle! (Click on pictures to see larger). The JPFO logo is to be engraved onto the side of the action and this unique one-of-one rifle will have the serial number “JPFO 01″. A letter of provenance will accompany the gun from the manufacturer, stating that this rifle is 1 of 1, and it indeed is the one that NYPD could not have.

Exploding shells set off a fire that was triggering explosions Wednesday at a military depot in southern Russia, injuring about 30 people and causing the evacuation of more than 6,000 from a nearby village, investigators and emergency workers said.

No cause has yet been determined for the fire at the Chapaevsk military depot in the Samara region, which the federal Investigative Committee said was set off Tuesday by the "involuntary" explosions of shells. (AP)

Omar's group, Ghurabaa al-Sham, wasn't defeated by the government. It was dismantled by a rival band of revolutionaries - hardline Islamists.

The Islamists moved against them at the beginning of May. After three days of sporadic clashes Omar's more moderate fighters, accused by the Islamists of looting, caved in and dispersed, according to local residents. Omar said the end came swiftly.

The Islamists confiscated the brigade's weapons, ammunition and cars, Omar said. "They considered this war loot. Maybe they think we are competitors," he said. "We have no idea about their goals. What we have built in two years disappeared in a single day."

First Lady Michelle Obama has warned that the sequester could negatively impact seniors and cut food stamps, but one thing it doesn’t seem to have affected is the White House travel budget. ........

First Lady Michelle Obama is staying Monday evening in the $3,300-per-night Princess Grace suite of Dublin’s Five-Star Shelbourne Hotel, according to Irish press reports, adding some credence to accusations she is in the city for a quick vacation at taxpayer expense.

Michelle jetted to Dublin Monday afternoon Irish time after a brief stop in Belfast with President Obama, who is in the city for the two-day G-8 Summit.

The White House is billing Michelle’s trip to Dublin as having diplomatic significance, but her itinerary suggests otherwise. She and her daughters will visit the Trinity College library to explore President Obama’s Irish family roots, attend a performance by the world-famous Riverdance troupe, and visit the Wicklow Mountains national forest.

Beetroot is a natural diuretic ,,, and very tasty to boot!

This Beet Salad with Mayonnaise and Walnuts is one of the easiest and most satisfying Russian salads I've grown up with. I actually almost forgot all about it, but then I made this beet dish from Jerusalem cookbook and thought: omg, the Russian version is sooooo much better. So I had to make it for this month's Russian Recipes Revisited.

Beet Salad with Mayonnaise and Walnuts

    {I'm not providing specific ingredient amounts because this is more to taste.}

    Ingredients

    beets, roasted and grated***

    mayonnaise

    garlic, minced {or use a microplane}

    walnuts, toasted and chopped

optional: chopped prunes, chopped cilantro or parsley

***To roast the beets, wash them, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, wrap in aluminum foil and roast on a cookie sheet in a 475F degree preheated oven for at least an hour, or as long as it takes.

    History of Raleigh, North Carolina

Hosted by our Time Warner cable partners, we visited the North Carolina Archives, the state Capitol, and the Joel Lane Museum House built in 1769. We learned about the "Research Triangle," historically black Shaw University, the life of Anna Julia Cooper, and the David Marshall "Carbine" Williams exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of History. We also interviewed North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory about the state's political history.

The real reason for the coming world war....kissing Saud ass..........RIYADH - Saudi Arabia's former intelligence chief, Prince Muqrin, once told American diplomats the Middle East's so-called Shi'ite Crescent where the Muslim sect holds sway was "becoming a full moon" as Iranian influence spread.

For the kingdom's Sunni ruling princes, that fear, revealed in a 2009 US embassy cable released by WikiLeaks, now focuses on Syria. Iran-backed President Bashar Assad's forces are advancing with the aid of Lebanese Hezbollah Shi'ite fighters, while Riyadh supports the Sunni rebels fighting against him.

It is a war increasingly seen in Riyadh as the fulcrum of a wider geopolitical struggle with Iran, a country it believes is radical, expansionist and militant, and a potential threat to Saudi Arabia itself.

"If the Syrian government wins, it will prove to other Arab countries that Iran is able to protect its allies in the region. This will undermine Western alliances and Western allies," said Abdulaziz al-Sager, head of the Gulf Research Center in Jeddah. http://www.jpost.com/Middle-East/Saudi-role-in-Syria-driven-by-fear-of-Shiite-full-moon-317019

HA!................And, while Saudi forces engaged Iraq's army in the 1991 Gulf War, they fought only on Saudi soil. Striking an Arab, Muslim country is problematic for the birthplace of Islam, which aims to be perceived as neutral custodian of Islam's holy places.

With limits on what it can do itself, it needs Washington to help fight its battles.

As the Syrian civil war got under way, a former electrician who calls himself Sheikh Omar built up a brigade of rebel fighters. In two years of struggle against President Bashar al-Assad, they came to number 2,000 men, he said, here in the northern city of Aleppo. Then, virtually overnight, they collapsed.

Omar said the end came swiftly. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/06/19/us-syria-rebels-islamists-specialreport-idUSBRE95I0BC20130619

The Islamists confiscated the brigade's weapons,
ammunition and cars, Omar said. "They considered this war loot. Maybe
they think we are competitors," he said. "We have no idea about their
goals. What we have built in two years disappeared in a single day."

For 55- to 64-year-olds, the US has the highest percentage of high-school graduates and the third-highest percentage of college graduates; in people aged 25 to 34, the country is 10th and 13th respectively.

No other developed country in the world has dropped so many places. To go from first place to tenth place in high school graduation rate in one generation is serious and alarming. The short term effects are unsettling enough: on average, those without a high school degree have the lowest earnings and highest unemployment rate of any demographic. But the long term effects could be even scarier: a society that does a poor job educating its citizens is going to pay the price for decades to come. As a less educated workforce slowly replaces a more educated one, skilled labor decreases and the entire economy suffers:

When you watch this short 1.42 minute video of Gen. Michael Hayden's description of the 4th amendment, please forward it with this link aattached. The copy here shows you WHY what the NSA and the DOJ is doing is illegal, you will realize his Hayden's views have long been the government's view...which is why they are unconsitutionally abusing the 4th Amendment. It's whqat happens when you look at the Constitution through the eyes of a socialist.

...what makes it important to the Obama Administration, which fears the American people, PRISM provides him with secretive, unconstitutional access to what those talking on their own telephones to close friends and family members are saying about their own fears of what Obama is up to, where this country is headed, and what the People can do to restore their Republic before it becomes Gulag America. And, if you think the most secretive occupier of the White House in the history of mankind isn't abusing the power of his office, you're wrong. The man can not only tell you what you ate for every meal you enjoyed over the last 90 days, someone in the NSA can tell you how much you paid for each of those meals. They can also likely tell you where you bought the food, and what program you watched on TV while you ate...
