In the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait expectantly...
~ Psalm 5

  1. BabbaZee7:30 AM

A confidential Justice Department memo concludes that the U.S. government can
order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be “senior
operational leaders” of al-Qaida or “an associated force” -- even if there is no
intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.

  2. BabbaZee7:31 AM

so if they want to eliminate you all they have to do is accuse you of it

  3. BabbaZee7:31 AM

meantime they would never do this to ACTUAL jihados.... they will probably use it on Darryl Issa though

  4. BabbaZee7:49 AM

Instead, it says, an “informed, high-level” official of the U.S.
government may determine that the targeted American has been “recently”
involved in “activities” posing a threat of a violent attack and “there
is no evidence suggesting that he has renounced or abandoned such
activities.” The memo does not define “recently” or “activities.

    not necessarily Muslims. Anyone.

  5. BabbaZee7:53 AM

Rock star Reg Presley, lead singer of the Troggs on hit songs including the garage-rock classic "Wild Thing," has died. He was 71.

  6. BabbaZee7:56 AM

A 6-year-old girl is now off the road after she allegedly stole her mother’s car in an effort to go visit her dad, according to a Feb. 3, 2013 news report.

The little girl took her mother’s car around 9:00 am Sunday, reportedly driving about a half mile before she crashed into a utility pole along with several parked cars along the way.

  7. BabbaZee7:58 AM

Iran's Ahmadinejad meets Egypt's Morsi on historic visit to Cairo

After red-carpet welcome, Egyptian and Iranian presidents hold 20-minute talk focusing on the civil war in Syria, security officials say; Ahmadinejad is in Cairo for the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

  9. BabbaZee8:00 AM

"The instrument shops are closing down and people are renting them out to mobile phone vendors and furniture stores," said Ezzat el-Fayoumi, a 65-year-old drum player who is one of a few remaining musicians on the street.

"The street is extinct," he said, sitting at a coffee shop that now serves as his office. "When I die, there will be no more music. No one is learning it.

  10. BabbaZee8:00 AM

And newly emboldened Islamists, who disapprove of music and the
perceived "decadence" of the nightlife, are also squeezing people in his
trade. He said a group of young zealous Islamists have tried to
convince him to quit and be a "good Muslim." He has rebuffed them,
suggesting he doesn't need anyone to teach him religion.

  11. BabbaZee8:05 AM

A Lancaster man accused of fatally shooting retired Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and his friend at a gun range Saturday had previously threatened to kill himself and others and had twice been taken to a psychiatric hospital for mental health evaluations, according to documents obtained Monday by the Star-Telegram.
how much SEROQUEL was he on??

  12. Universal Background Checks Could Lead to ‘Universal Confiscation, Universal Extermination’ of Firearms

  13. BabbaZee8:18 AM

Near the end of his life, Tesla became fixated on pigeons, especially a specific white female, which he claimed to love almost as one would love a human being. One night, Tesla claimed the white pigeon visited him through an open window at his hotel, and he believed the bird had come to tell him she was dying. He saw “two powerful beans of light” in the bird’s eyes, he later said. “Yes, it was a real light, a powerful, dazzling, blinding light, a light more intense than I had ever
produced by the most powerful lamps in my laboratory.” The pigeon died in his arms, and the inventor claimed that in that moment, he knew that he had finished his life’s work.

  14. “Universal background check means universal registration. Universal
registration means universal confiscation, universal extermination,” she
continued. “That’s how it goes in history. Do not fall for universal
    background checks.”

  15. BabbaZee8:27 AM

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal cancers, with a five-year survival rate of 6 percent. Some 40,000 people die of it each year. The diagnosis can be devastating because it is often delivered late, after the cancer has spread. Unlike the breast or colon, the pancreas is nestled deep in the body cavity and difficult to image, and there is no telltale early symptom or lump. “By the time you bring this to a physician, it’s too late,” says Anirban Maitra, a Johns Hopkins
pathologist and pancreatic cancer researcher who is Andraka’s mentor. “The drugs we have aren’t good for this disease.”

But as the cancer takes hold, the body does issue an unmistakable distress signal: an overabundance of a protein called mesothelin. The problem is that scientists haven’t yet developed a surefire way to look for this red flag in the course of a standard physical. “The first point of entry would have to be a cheap blood test done with a simple prick,”
    Maitra says.

Jack Andraka, the Teen Prodigy of Pancreatic Cancer

A high school sophomore won the youth achievement Smithsonian American Ingenuity Award for inventing a new
method to detect a lethal cancer

  45. I have spent more time down has my friend Mike Levine

  46. Dr. Puneet Ahora is now demanding legalisation of over 1 million "Asian Computer Americans" (WTF???) that means Pakis, Indians, Bangadeshis and immigration by InfoSys.

  47. BabbaZee11:15 AM

John Scalzi has an unusual defence against his troll.

John Scalzi is the author of several books, including the Old Man's War series and Redshirts, published in the States by Tor and the UK by Gollancz. He's also the president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Fed up of being constantly targeted on his website by one particular individual and his followers, Scalzi decided to take action, pledging US$5 every time "the Racist Sexist Homophobic Dipshit in question posts an entry on his site in which he uses my name (or one of his adorable nicknames for me)".

So every time this guy assails him money gets donated to causes he HATES. VERY fuckin smart I say.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has embarked on an unusual approach to ensure that the United States is secure from future terrorist attacks. The agency has developed a network of nearly 15,000 spies to infiltrate various communities in an attempt to uncover terrorist plots. However, these moles are actually assisting and encouraging people to commit crimes. Many informants receive cash rewards of up to $100,000 per case.”

There's an internet meme known as "rule 34" which basically states that if it exists or you can imagine it, then there's already porn about it. I suggest that we need a "rule 24" which states that if something exists or you can imagine it, then there's already an anti-Jewish conspiracy theory about it. The name should be "24" because "Mein Kampf" = "MK" =
    13th letter + 11th letter, hence rule 24.

The Right to Record Police in Connecticut

There is a nationwide culture-clash between police and citizen-recorders: citizens who desire police accountability on the one hand, and police who must maintain order on the other. More and more Americans, using now ubiquitous cell phone cameras, can document police conduct. Even though these encounters are on the rise, the law governing our right to record police in their everyday duties is not clear. Those many officers who intend to act with dignity and decorum, to serve and to protect, need to know the rules. Yet police administrators have not provided rank-and-file officers with clear street-level procedures and training for these situations. When can police lawfully stop a citizen from recording? Does recording police even fall within the criminal statutes statutes used? What are the constitutional contours of a right to record police? What state interests are at stake?

This note begins an inquiry into these questions, focusing on the state of Connecticut. (Every state in America faces analoguous issues and has simliar statutes, however.)

  101. BabbaZee1:50 PM

    A Lament

O well for him who lives at ease
With garnered gold in wide domain,
Nor heeds the splashing of the rain,
The crashing down of forest trees. -
O well for him who ne'er hath known
The travail of the hungry years,
A father grey with grief and tears,
A mother weeping all alone. -
But well for him whose feet hath trod
The weary road of toil and strife,
Yet from the sorrows of his life
Builds ladders to be nearer God.

    Oscar Wilde

  102. pbird1:51 PM

    Oscar Wilde? huh

  103. BabbaZee1:57 PM

    that's what I said

When first I was put into prison some people advised me to try and forget who I was. It was ruinous advice. It is only by realising what I am that I have found comfort of any kind. Now I am advised by others to try on my release to forget that I have ever been in a prison at all. I know that would be equally fatal. It would mean that I would always be haunted by an intolerable sense of disgrace, and that those things that are meant for me as much as for anybody else – the beauty of the sun and moon, the pageant of the seasons, the music of daybreak and the silence of great nights, the rain falling through the leaves, or the dew creeping over the grass and making it silver – would all be tainted for me, and lose their healing power, and their power of communicating joy. To regret one's own experiences is to arrest one's own development. To deny one's own experiences is to put a lie into the lips of one's own life. It is no less than a denial of the soul.
    De Profundis

  104. BabbaZee1:58 PM

Wilde was released on 19 May 1897, and though his health had suffered greatly, he had a feeling of spiritual renewal. He immediately wrote to the Society of Jesus requesting a six-month Catholic retreat; when the request was denied, Wilde wept.[144] "I intend to be received before long", Wilde told a journalist who asked about his religious intentions.[145] He left England the next day for the continent, to spend his last three years in penniless exile.

  105. BabbaZee1:58 PM

Wilde's final address was at the dingy Hôtel d'Alsace (now known as L'Hôtel), in Paris; "This poverty really breaks one's heart: it is so sale, so utterly depressing, so hopeless. Pray do what you can" he wrote to his publisher.

  106. BabbaZee2:00 PM

And alien tears will fill for him

    Pity's long-broken urn,

For his mourners will be outcast men,

    And outcasts always mourn.

    ~The Ballad of Reading Gaol

  107. BabbaZee2:00 PM

The Ballad of Reading Gaol is a poem by Oscar Wilde, written in exile either in Berneval or in Dieppe, France, after his release from Reading Gaol on or about 19 May 1897. Wilde had been incarcerated in Reading, after being convicted of homosexual offences in 1895 and sentenced to two years' hard labour in prison.

  111. For Chef Wheatus:

  112. BabbaZee3:18 PM

Rainer Maria Rilke wrote in Letters to a Young Poet:
"Why do you want to shut out of your life any uneasiness, any misery,
any depression, since after all you don't know what work these
    conditions are doing inside you?"

  113. pbird3:20 PM

    woke up, yeah

  114. BabbaZee3:21 PM

Letters To A Young Poet are ten letters written to a young man about
to enter the German military. His name was Franz Kappus, he was 19 years old, and he wrote
Rilke looking for guidance and a critique of some of his poems. Rilke was himself only 27
when the first letter was written. The resulting five year correspondence is a virtual
owner's manual on what it is (and what is required) to be an artist and a person.

  115. pbird3:22 PM

Yet each man kills the thing he loves
By each let this be heard,
Some do it with a bitter look,
    Some with a flattering word,
The coward does it with a kiss,
The brave man with a sword!

Some kill their love when they are young,
    And some when they are old;
Some strangle with the hands of Lust,
Some with the hands of Gold:
The kindest use a knife, because
The dead so soon grow cold.

Some love too little, some too long,
    Some sell, and others buy;
Some do the deed with many tears,
    And some without a sigh:
For each man kills the thing he loves,
Yet each man does not die.

  116. And never forget this.................

  126. For a pissed-off Dr. Wheat:

    The Pseudo-Courage of Chris Kyle

The Postal-Amerikanski Right make me sick!

  127. After returning from his first combat tour in Iraq, Kyle recalls, he was rudely roused from slumber one morning when the burglar alarm went off. Although this was a malfunction rather than a real emergency, Kyle’s reaction was revealing.

“I grabbed my pistol and went to confront the criminal,” he recalls. “No son of a bitch was breaking into my house and living to tell about it.”

Shortly before the war began, Kyle was part of a SEAL unit tasked to enforce UNsanctions against Iraq by intercepting tankers leaving the country with unlicensed oil deliveries. On one occasion, he boarded a tanker commanded by a commercial sea captain who “had some fight in him, and even though he was unarmed, he wasn’t ready to surrender.”

“He made a run at me,” Kyle continues. “Pretty stupid. First of all, I’m not only bigger than him, but I was wearing full body armor. Not to mention the fact that I had a submachine gun in my hand. I took the muzzle of my gun and struck the idiot in the chest. He went right down.”

  128. BabbaZee5:30 PM

  130. BabbaZee5:34 PM

Kyle’s “courage” is of the sort that only manifests itself in the service of power, and in the company of those enjoying a prohibitive

The rattlesnake has been rattling and warning "Don't tread on me" for well over 2 centuries. It's time to stop rattling and strike.

Chris Kyle is obviously a coward and the worst kind of scum. And completely
without any ethical principles. He'd better be careful and change his ways because eventually he will find himself up against a MAN when he isn't the only one armed and backed by his verminous gang.

He does not have to be careful anymore because he is DEAD you fucking shithead
and if he were alive you would never say that shit to his face

  132. BabbaZee5:45 PM

oh it is some sort of libertarian bullshit

people love to call themselves names

  133. BabbaZee5:50 PM

Eric, I submit that the answer is yes, that one can be a Christian and an individualist.

Boaz, in his book "Libertarianism: A Primer," p. 29, cites Jesus's
reply of "Render unto Caesar..." as having "divided the world into two
realms, making it clear that not all life is under the control of the
state." For another writer's libertarian perspective on the passage, see
"Render Unto Caesar: A Most Misunderstood New Testament Passage,"

Consider, too, this interesting article, "The Libertarian From Nazareth?" (

one’s religious denomination, a careful, dispassionate analysis of the
teachings of Jesus of Nazareth compels the conclusion that Jesus was an
    uncompromising political libertarian."

He was not political AT ALL despite all efforts to MAKE him political

  134. BabbaZee5:51 PM

so the writer of the article thinks Jesus was a fuckin Libertarian

    explains everything

  135. BabbaZee5:56 PM

OH yes 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem the Libertarians were all the rage

  136. BabbaZee6:08 PM

    He was a JEW

I'll bet the Libertarians hate that.

  137. pbird6:10 PM

    awkward, that

  138. BabbaZee6:10 PM

  139. BabbaZee6:17 PM

With neatly plucked eyebrows, leather boots with heels and a gold bracelet, 'Guevara' as she has become known is the last person you'd expect to find looking down the sight of a sniper rifle in the middle of a bloody civil war.

But a former English teacher has found unlikely fame on the streets of Syria's largest city becoming known to many residents as 'the female sniper'.

Dressed in a jumper dress, hijab and green khaki trousers, Guevara, named after the Argentine revolutionary, sits hidden in a war damaged building waiting for a sight of the enemy - government troops.

  140. BabbaZee6:19 PM

from Palestine, the sniper told the Telegraph that she first picked up a
gun at a military training camp in Lebanon run by Palestinian militants
    from the Hamas group.

    There is no Palestine.

  141. BabbaZee6:21 PM

Strawberry jam... and a mannequin with puffy pink pubic hair

a white sport coat and a pink carnation?

  142. pbird6:50 PM

    found by ratting the innernets

  143. BabbaZee7:05 PM

by the way the render unto Ceaser thing that they are trying to say is Libertarian means this:

Whose face is on the coin he asks
    Caesar they answer
give it to him then he says

    why does he say that?

just got done with my last call for the day. India. I had to tell these people to slow down a bit in their speaking. Don't machine gun speak. I'm sure they're all bright people, but don't spit out forty sentences in the span of sixty seconds and expect anyone to understand just what the fuck they are saying. I'd hate to take notes at that meeting.

UN diplomats say that Syrian opposition’s coalition is planning to open offices soon in New York and Washington.

Najib Ghadbian, an associate professor of political science and Middle East studies at the University of Arkansas, will head both offices of the National Alliance and commute between the two cities, the diplomats said Tuesday, speaking on condition of anonymity because the decision hasn’t been announced publicly.

The coalition’s presence in the US capital and near the United Nations is expected to raise its profile in the United States and internationally, the diplomats said.

Abdulrahman al-Awlaki wasn’t on an American kill list.

Nor was he a member of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninusla. Nor was he “an inspiration,” as his father styled himself, for those determined to draw American blood; nor had he gone “operational,” as American authorities said his father had, in drawing up plots against Americans and American interests. He was a boy who hadn’t seen his father in two years, since his father had gone into hiding. He was a boy who knew his father was on an American kill list and who snuck out of his family’s home in the early morning hours of September 4, 2011, to try to find him. He was a boy who was still searching for his father when his father was killed, and who, on the night he himself was killed, was saying goodbye to the second cousin with whom he’d lived while on his search, and the friends he’d made. He was a boy among boys, then; a boy among boys eating dinner by an open fire along the side of a road when an American drone came out of the sky and fired the missiles that killed them all.
How does Team Obama justify killing him?

The answer Gibbs gave is chilling:
ADAMSON: …It’s an American citizen that is being targeted without due process, without trial. And, he’s underage. He’s a minor.

GIBBS: I would suggest that you should have a far more responsible father if they are truly concerned about the well being of their children. I don’t think becoming an al Qaeda jihadist terrorist is the best way to go about doing your business.

Again, note that this kid wasn’t killed in the same drone strike as his father. He was hit by a drone strike elsewhere, and by the time he was killed, his father had already been dead for two weeks. Gibbs nevertheless defends the strike, not by arguing that the kid was a threat, or that killing him was an accident, but by saying that his late father irresponsibly joined al Qaeda terrorists. Killing an American citizen without due process on that logic ought to be grounds for impeachment. Is that the real answer? Or would the Obama Administration like to clarify its reasoning? Any Congress that respected its oversight responsibilities would get to the bottom of this.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A group of gun-rights activists rallied Tuesday in support of making it legal for North Carolina's school principals and teachers to carry concealed firearms into the classroom.

About 300 people showed up outside the Legislative Building in Raleigh to voice their support for new state laws broadening access to guns and resisting proposed federal restrictions on what several called their God-given right to bear arms.

Still, I am conscious now that behind all this beauty, satisfying
though it may be, there is some spirit hidden of which the painted forms and shapes are but modes of manifestation, and it is with this spirit that I desire to become in harmony. I have grown tired of the articulate utterances of men and things. The Mystical in Art, the Mystical in Life, the Mystical in Nature this is what I am looking for. It is absolutely necessary for me to find it somewhere.
