House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has not yet acted on calls from within his own party to form select committees to uncover more information on the attack which killed four Americans in Benghazi, Libya in 2012

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told USA Today on Wednesday, "I want to know who the survivors are and for the appropriate committees to interview them." He explained further, "We know it was clear from the beginning it was a terrorist attack. I want to know what kind of help they asked for."

Gov: 6 underground Hanford nuclear tanks leaking

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - Six underground radioactive waste tanks at the nation's most contaminated nuclear site are leaking, Gov. Jay Inslee said Friday.

Inslee made the announcement after meeting with federal officials in Washington, D.C. Last week it was revealed that one of the 177 tanks at south-central Washington's Hanford Nuclear Reservation was leaking liquids. Inslee called the latest news "disturbing."

The tanks, which already are long past their intended 20-year life span, hold millions of gallons of a highly radioactive stew left from decades of plutonium production for nuclear weapons.

The U.S. Department of Energy said earlier that liquid levels were decreasing in one of the tanks at the site. Monitoring wells near the tank have not detected higher radiation levels.

The federal government created Hanford in the 1940s as part of the top-secret Manhattan Project to build the atomic bomb. The government spends $2 billion each year on Hanford cleanup _ one-third of its entire budget for nuclear cleanup nationally. The cleanup is expected to last decades.

Modern wheat a "perfect, chronic poison," doctor says

(CBS News) Modern wheat is a "perfect, chronic poison," according to Dr. William Davis, a cardiologist who has published a book all about the world's most popular grain.

Davis said that the wheat we eat these days isn't the wheat your grandma had: "It's an 18-inch tall plant created by genetic research in the '60s and '70s," he said on "CBS This Morning." "This thing has many new features nobody told you about, such as there's a new protein in this thing called gliadin. It's not gluten. I'm not addressing people with gluten sensitivities and celiac disease. I'm talking about everybody else because everybody else is susceptible to the gliadin protein that is an opiate. This thing binds into the opiate receptors in your brain and in most people stimulates appetite, such that we consume 440 more calories per day, 365 days per year."

Asked if the farming industry could change back to the grain it formerly produced, Davis said it could, but it would not be economically feasible because it yields less per acre. However, Davis said a movement has begun with people turning away from wheat - and dropping substantial weight.

"If three people lost eight pounds, big deal," he said. "But we're seeing hundreds of thousands of people losing 30, 80, 150 pounds. Diabetics become no longer diabetic; people with arthritis having dramatic relief. People losing leg swelling, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, and on and on every day."

To avoid these wheat-oriented products, Davis suggests eating "real food," such as avocados, olives, olive oil, meats, and vegetables. "(It's) the stuff that is least likely to have been changed by agribusiness," he said. "Certainly not grains. When I say grains, of course, over 90 percent of all grains we eat will be wheat, it's not barley... or flax. It's going to be wheat.

    "It's really a wheat issue."

Moses was pissed all the time
    Job, practically suicidal
Jeremiah? well they do not call him the weeping prophet for nothing ....

In between dancing naked David tore his hairs out

Jesus hung on the cross reciting 22 even HE thought he was forsaken

How you manage to be happy all the time is a great mystery to me

but not being "happy" does not mean you do not have a right relationship with GOD

just means he gave you a very shitty job to do ....

    we discuss that here, sure

is it what I grieve over?

    not even close

You have lots of support hay
you have family, kids, grandkids etc
you have money to buy what you need
all these things help a person to be "happy"

    I am not miserable
    that should be obvious

    however
it is very very hard for me and always has been

I do not have mother father sister brother
I do not have children grandchildren
I do not even have enough money to cover my medicine

I am two seconds removed from going under a bridge at any given time

I started out there at 14
but I had all my parts then

if it happens to me again I will not be able to endure it so well

I have people very close to me who are a half a second away from being under the bridge

there is nothing I can do to help them

from the day I was born it has been very very hard for me, it has never let up, it only gets harder

    I think given the circumstances...

I am downright fuckin jocular ahaha

I was drivin’ home early Sunday morning
    Through Bakersfield,
Listening to gospel music on the coloured radio station,
And the preacher said: “You know you always have the lord by your side”
And I was so pleased to be informed of this
That I ran twenty red lights in his honour,
Thank you Jesus, thank you lord

I had an arrangement to met a girl, and I was kind of late
And I thought by the time I got there she’d be off,
She’d be off with the nearest truck driver she could find
Much to my surprise there she was sittin’ in a corner
Little bleary, worse for wear and tear
Was a girl with far away eyes
    Well I tell you

So if you’re down on you’re luck, and you can’t harmonize
Find a girl with far away eyes
    And if you’re downright disgusted
And life ain’t worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes
    Well

Well the preacher kept right on saying
That all I had to do was send ten dollars
To the church of the sacred bleeding heart of Jesus,
Located somewhere in Los Angeles, California
And next week they’d say my prayer on the radio
And all my dreams would come true
So I did, and next week I got a prayer for the girl
Well you know what kind of eyes she got,
    Well I tell you

So if you’re down on you’re luck, I know you all sympathize
Find a girl with far away eyes
    And if you’re downright disgusted
And life ain’t worth a dime
Get a girl with far away eyes
So if you’re down on you’re luck, I know you all sympathize
Get a girl with far away eyes

He is popularly known as the author of two sayings: "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And when I am for myself, what am 'I'? And if not now, when?"[2] and the expression of the ethic of reciprocity, or "Golden Rule": "That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow. That is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn."[3]

"As Hillel the Elder had stated, whosoever destroys a soul, it is considered as if he destroyed an entire world. And whosoever that saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world." [4] 'Olam' can alternatively be translated 'age' or 'world'.[5]

    Whoa!

To support his thesis of Jesus as a follower of Hillel, Falk draws conclusions from familiar New Testament passages. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus criticizes the "eye for an eye" view of justice emphasized by a leader of the Shammai school. Shammaite criticism of Jesus for socializing with Gentile sinners or healing on the Sabbath reflected specific debates between the schools. When Jesus attacked the money changers in the Temple, he declared that it was a "house of prayer for all the nations," but had become a "den of robbers." The author suggests that the money changers were corrupt Shammaites who were pocketing donations from Gentile converts to Judaism. Falk even proposes that the Golden Rule of Jesus is just a positive rephrasing of statement by Rabbi Hillel, who once told a pagan inquirer, "What is hateful unto thee, do not do unto thy neighbor. This is the entire Torah. The rest is commentary."

  131. Massachusetts Schools Must Cater to “Transgender” Students

In what has recently become national news, the Massachusetts Department of Education has issued a directive for how schools should deal with “transgender” students, including the rule that students who claim that they identify with the opposite gender must be allowed to use the opposite-sex restrooms and locker facilities. The directive was issued to help ensure that school districts do not run afoul of the state's 2011 anti-discrimination law that makes transvestites and other transgendered individuals a protected class.

With the rise in aggressive homosexual activism over the last several years has come an increase in the numbers of young people who identify as homosexual or with the opposite gender. “These students, because of widespread misunderstanding and lack of knowledge about their lives, are at a higher risk for peer ostracism, victimization, and bullying,” reads the education department document.

According to the directive, issued last June by the state's Education Commissioner, Mitchell Chester, the gender with which a student identifies is up to that student and his parent or guardian, so, for example, if a male student insists that he feels more like a female, he must be treated as such, including being allowed to use the girls' restrooms and locker facilities.

went out last night with the wife. we met up with some friends of hers.while we were at the bar, and old pal I hadn't spoken with in a good 20 years or so called me. he got my number from my best pal, Jeff. Doug shoved a .38 in my face when I was about 18 or so. The only time I ever smiled when someone shoved a gun in my face.

I recounted that story once I got off the phone and then one of my wifes pals husbands went into an anti gun rant.. I just employeed the STFU strategy. I let him vent and just went along with the flow. At the end of the evening I decided that my eight years in the Army trumped his four years at Clemson, in spite of the fact that his dad was supposedly airborne. Gee whiz. He said his dad had a revolver while he was in the army. I simply smiled to myself. I'm pretty sure his dad was not in WW1, so he would have been issued a 1911 .45 at the very least.

Just better to STFU, smile, and let folks run their pieholes. It's futile to argue with them.

The Mujahideen Shura Council in the Environs of Jerusalem (MSC) is a consolidation of a number of Salafi jihadist groups operating in the Gaza Strip including, but not limited to: Tawhid and Jihad Group in Jerusalem, and Ansar al Sunnah. 186. With public trust plummeting, poor Capitalism will suffer, the media lament, but what about the contagion of so much lying, cheating and unchecked violence? Our grinning Prez continues to kill so casually, so often, after joking about drones. Our Secretary of State gleefully chirped, “We came, we saw, he died!” It should come as no surprise, then, that hardly a week goes by without at least one multiple shooting where innocents are killed for no reason, beyond the fact that the shooter may have had a bad day, week or life.
