Why Does A Pretty Girl Sing Those Sad Songs?

But grant me this one request,” she said.
“Give me two months to roam the hills

because I will never marry.”

Special Agent Vince Cefalu has worked for the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms for more than 25 years. On top of successfully placing dozens of hard criminals behind bars throughout his career, Cefalu has received promotions and consistently positive evaluations. When he started raising his voice about ATF corruption and illegal wiretapping in 2005, things changed. Tuesday evening, Cefalu was asked to meet Special Agent in Charge of the San Francisco Field Division Joseph Riehl at a Denny's Restaurant near Lake Tahoe. When he arrived, he was served termination papers in the parking lot. Classy move. The exchange was secretly recorded by a confidential source. David Codrea has more:

Cefalu was placed on administrative leave a year and a half ago after speaking out about Operation Fast and Furious. In 2009, he launched the website CleanUpATF.org in order for agents within ATF to blow the whistle on corrupt behavior anonymously due to the agency's history of retaliation against those who "jump their chain of command." His website is where bloggers and news reporters first saw allegations of gunwalking. The site is heavily monitored by the Department of Justice.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered to return the Golan Heights to

yesterday was the 27th anniversary of the day my wife and I had our first date. Monday is our 24th wedding anniversary. we've persevered as always through good times and bad, but the thing that amazes me is WHERE THE HELL HAVE ALL THE YEARS GONE?

27 years ago I was a Buck Sergeant in the Army. I was also 25. Now I'm a slightly eccentric IT security geek and I'm 52. The ages are reversed. I know that means something, but I'm uncertain just what that means.

in 11 days marks the anniversary of the Beirut barracks bombing and my daughter was also born in October.

many big things (good and bad) happen to me in October.

By the President of the United States of America. A Proclamation.

Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme
Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of
nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set
apart a day for National prayer and humiliation. And whereas it is the duty of
nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of
God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with
assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to
recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all
history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord. And,
insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are
subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear
that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a
punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of
our national reformation as a whole People?

We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been
preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers,
wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God.
We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied
and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the
deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some
superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we
have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and
preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us! It behooves us
then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national
sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Storagemanager5:38 PM

Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the
views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart
Thursday, the 30th. day of April, 1863, as a day of national humiliation,
fasting and prayer. And I do hereby request all the People to abstain, on that
day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places
of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the
Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that
solemn occasion. All this being done, in sincerity and truth, let us then rest
humbly in the hope authorized by the Divine teachings, that the united cry of
the Nation will be heard on high, and answered with blessings, no less than the
pardon of our national sins, and the restoration of our now divided and
suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the
United States to be affixed. Done at the City of Washington, this thirtieth day
of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three,
and of the Independence of the United States the eighty seventh.

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland ended a series of questions about the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, and the ensuing Obama Administration claims that it was caused by an anti-Islam film, by saying that she’s paid to be “dumber” than other government officials.
“Look, I’m generally dumber than most of the rest of the government,” Nuland told reporters yesterday. “I mean, that’s what I’m paid to be.”
The comment drew a laugh, but Nuland was serious about not taking any more questions on the topic. “We’re not going to parse this any further,” she said sternly. “We’re just not.” http://weaselzippers.us/

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- A San Francisco website is using images of Mitt and Ann Romney to sell "magical Mormon underwear."

MormonsSecret.com, run by an "ex-Mormon" using the alias Ann Jackson,

In fact, since the convention, Clinton and Obama have had a serious falling-out over two issues: the president’s preparation and lamentable performance in his debate with Mitt Romney, and the question of who should be assigned blame — Obama or Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — for the intelligence and security screw-up in Benghazi, Libya…
My sources tell me that Clinton is working on a strategy that will allow Hillary to avoid having Benghazi become a stain on her political fortunes should she decide to run for president in 2016.
Bill Clinton has even gone so far as to seek legal advice about Hillary’s liability in terms of cables and memos that might be subpoenaed by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which this week launched an investigation into the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. The committee will also examine the apparent Obama administration cover-up that followed the Benghazi attack.
Finally, I’m told that Bill is playing with various doomsday scenarios, up to and including the idea that Hillary should consider resigning over the issue if the Obama team tries to use her as a scapegoat. http://hotair.com/archives/2012/10/12/is-the-white-house-throwing-hillary-under-the-bus-on-the-benghazi-attack/

Boston, Massachusetts – A CIA document outlining
a Mafia-connected plan to assassinate Cuban leader Fidel Castro for $150,000 is
among thousands of Robert F. Kennedy documents made public Thursday, just days
before the 50th anniversary of the Cuban missile crisis.

In the 1964 plan, the mob and "patriotic Cuban exiles" eventually settled on
a payment of $100,000 for assassinating Castro, $20,000 for his brother Raúl and
$20,000 for revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara, plus $2,500 for expenses.

The plan was among some 2,700 pages of Robert Kennedy's documents. The
National Archives and Records Administration and the John F. Kennedy
Presidential Library in Boston released the documents, which Kennedy compiled as
attorney general from 1961 to 1964, offering a glimpse into Cold War
    decision-making. http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/politics/2012/10/12/robert-kennedy-documents-show-150000-mafia-plan-to-kill-fidel-castro/

    Oaktown REPRESENT!!!

SAN FRANCISCO — The City of Oakland has filed a lawsuit in federal court to prevent the Department of Justice from seizing property leased to the largest medical marijuana dispensary in the country.

“This lawsuit is about protecting the rights of legitimate medical patients,” City Attorney Barbara Parker said in a statement on Wednesday, when the suit was filed. “I am deeply dismayed that the federal government would seek to deny these rights and deprive thousands of seriously ill Californians of access to safe, affordable and effective medicine.”The civil lawsuit, which the City Council approved, seeks to “restrain and declare unlawful” the forfeiture proceedings against the landlords of the dispensary, Harborside Health Center, stating that Oakland will “suffer irreparable harm if the dispensaries are shuttered.”“It is heartening to see the city stand up and support us,” said Steve DeAngelo, Harborside’s executive director. At its Oakland location, the nonprofit dispensary employs 100 people and serves some 112,000 more, seeing 600 to 800 customers a day. Last year, the group paid $3.5 million in taxes, including $1.1 million to the city.http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/12/us/oakland-sues-to-prevent-closing-of-medical-marijuana-dispensary.html?_r=1&src=rechp

Will The Election Results Cause Riots?

Will the most divisive campaign in modern American history culminate in
massive riots in our major cities? Right now, supporters of Barack
Obama and supporters of Mitt Romney are both pinning all of their hopes
on a victory on November 6th. The race for the presidency is extremely
tight, and obviously the side that loses is going to be extremely
disappointed when the election results are finalized. But could this
actually lead to violence? Could we actually see rioting in communities
all over America? Well, the conditions are certainly ripe for it. A
whole host of surveys over the past few years have shown that Americans
are very angry and very frustrated right now. In fact, a Pew Research
Center poll from late last year found that86 percent
of all Americans are either angry or frustrated with the federal
government. We have seen this frustration manifest in protest movements
such as the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street, but right now things are
fairly calm as liberals and conservatives both look forward to November
6th. Many Republicans started the countdown to the next election
literally the day after John McCain lost back in 2008. All of their
hopes of getting Obama out of the White House are riding on a Romney
victory. For many Democrats, Barack Obama is a “once in a generation”
icon. Just the thought of Mitt Romney replacing Obama in the White
House is enough to push many of them to the brink of insanity. In
recent years we have seen horrible rioting erupt in cities after major
sports championship games. How much worse could the rioting potentially
be if this bitterly contested election is decided by a very narrow
margin – especially if there are allegations that the election is
    “stolen”?

I hadn't considered this. I suppose I should have though.

When we're knocking at the door?

Because the truth is hard to swallow

That's what the war of love is for.

It's not the way that you say it

When you do those things to me.

It's more the way that you mean it

When you tell me what will be.

And when you stop and think about it

    You won't believe it's true.

That all the love you've been giving

Has all been meant for you.

I'm looking for someone to change my life.

I'm looking for a miracle in my life.

And if you could see what it's done to me

To lose the love I knew

    Could safely lead me through.

Between the silence of the mountains

And the crashing of the sea

There lies a land I once lived in

And she's waiting there for me.

But in the grey of the morning

    My mind becomes confused

Between the dead and the sleeping

And the road that I must choose.

I'm looking for someone to change my life.

I'm looking for a miracle in my life.

And if you could see what it's done to me

To lose the love I knew

    Could safely lead me to

The land that I once knew.

To learn as we grow old

    The secrets of our souls.

It's not the way that you say it

When you do those things to me.

It's more the way you really mean it

When you tell me what will be.

Why do we never get an answer

When we're knocking at the door

    With a thousand million questions

About hate and death and war?

When we stop and look around us

There is nothing that we need.

In a world of persecution that is burning in its greed.

Visit any Coptic church in the United States and you immediately recognize the newcomers. You see it in their eyes, hear it in their broken English, sense it in how they cling to the church in search of the familiar. They have come here escaping a place they used to call home,
where their ancestors had lived for centuries.

probably one of the most popular host you have on TV today—his approach
is refreshing and he tries to focus his message on actions. On actually

An overview of the effects of QE3 and the role of the Federal Reserve Bank.

    1. Inflation is a tool to redistribute wealth, but instead of the socialist model (which I don't like either), inflation is a tool to acquire wealth from the middle class to the elite class.
    2. The Federal Reserve is neither federal nor is it a reserve. It is not part of the treasury department, nor is it a government agency. It has "congressional oversight" what ever the fuck that means, but it is not part of the government. It is a privately held bank and has 33 shareholders,....3 of them are actually American the last I checked. Goggle or just look up any of the FRB websites. They are .org, not .gov. I've worked at several of them and have known their role since I was Tater's age.
    3. The elite like to buy low and sell high. This is one of the tools on their tool belt. They don't lose a minute of sleep ripping off six-pack joe's, in fact they leverage it to the max. Destroy the economy, we rebuild it, and a couple of generations later these same families come back and break it again for profit.
    4. Congressional oversight will never happen because they are thrown scraps from the table. They like their scraps.

The good news is that there is an achilles heel. This can be stopped, but it would piss off a lot of powerful and wealthy people. Whoever attempts it is pretty much living on borrowed time. Not sure I have the stones and I still have a family to think about.

    bin Laden is dead............

The Islamic State of Iraq, al Qaeda in Iraq’s political front, claimed credit for a complex assault on the Tasfirat prison in Tikrit that freed more than 100 prisoners, including dozens of terrorists.
In a statement that was released yesterday on jihadist Internet forums and translated by the SITE Intelligence Group, the Islamic State of Iraq said it executed the Sept. 27 prison break. The terror group said the operation was part of its “Destroying the Walls” campaign, which was announced at the end of July by Abu Du’a, the Islamic State of Iraq’s emir. In that statement, Abu Du’a said that emphasis would be placed on efforts “to release the Muslim prisoners everywhere.”
In yesterday’s statement, al Qaeda in Iraq detailed its complex attack. The group claimed that “silenced weapons, hand grenades, and explosive belts” were smuggled into the prison, and then operations were coordinated between the “imprisoned brothers inside the jail” and the assault team outside.
The prisoners seized control of the prison “while their brothers on the outside kill the main gate’s guards by detonating a parked car bomb and cutting off all roads leading to the security compound against the support patrols,” according to the SITE translation. The car bomb is thought to have been detonated by a suicide bomber.
After taking control of the prison, the al Qaeda fighters attacked the prison archives and destroyed “the data and database of the prisoners and those who are wanted,” according to SITE. “Also, sensitive documents were taken and that which could benefit the apostates in pursuing the mujahideen was burned.”
Al Qaeda in Iraq claimed that the operation resulted in “the death and injury of nearly 80 apostates,” and the escape of “tens” of its fighters. News reports indicated that two Iraqi policemen, an Iraqi soldier, and 11 al Qaeda in Iraq fighters were killed during the fighting. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/

and Firearms for more than 25 years. On top of successfully placing
dozens of hard criminals behind bars throughout his career, Cefalu has
received promotions and consistently positive evaluations. When he
started raising his voice about ATF corruption and illegal wiretapping
in 2005, things changed. Tuesday evening, Cefalu was asked to meet
Special Agent in Charge of the San Francisco Field Division Joseph Riehl
at a Denny's Restaurant near Lake Tahoe. When he arrived, he was served
termination papers in the parking lot. Classy move. The exchange was secretly recorded by a confidential source.

This is going to cost a fortune to fix. Crap.

The cost of home ownership. I suppose it had to get done anyway. Will need a general contractor, a plumber, and may as well rip up the carpeting and put down the hardwood floors we've been yammering about for 5 or 6 years.
