An event touting itself as an evening of immigration reform discussion with a "diversity of opinion" turns out to be slanted heavily towards "comprehensive immigration reform." The BuzzFeed Brews Special Edition: Immigration Summit, sponsored by the Charles Koch Institute, will take place Tuesday, May 14th from 6 PM - 8 PM

  5. Geraldo: My sources tell me they were in Benghazi to round up missiles to send to Syrian rebels via Turkey

And then there is this piece that hasn’t really gotten much attention at all, that Ambassador Stevens was in Benghazi to help facilitate the transfer of Libyan arms to the Syrian rebels by way of Turkey.

Well just yesterday morning, Geraldo revealed that he has sources telling him the same thing, that indeed Stevens was in Benghazi to help round up shoulder-to-air missiles to send to the Syrian rebels via Turkey (h/t: The Blaze):

    http://www.therightscoop.com/geraldo-my-sources-tell-me-they-were-in-benghazi-to-round-up-missiles-to-send-to-syrian-rebels-via-turkey/

If we were running weapons, as it seems we were, then it makes sense why Obama was so gung ho about going into Libya in the first place to help overthrow Qaddafi. Those weapons were needed to help further the so-called Arab Spring happening in Syria. And it was done all in the name of democracy.

woke up too many times last night. Some cereal and yogurt after my meds sound like a pretty good idea. have a nice cup-a joe and maybe a nice pipe full of some Kentucky Bold.

I've gone the requisite four days since surgery with no sign of any infection. That means it's time to start my tattoos. I think I start off with just my 101st ABN division patch (pukin' buzzard) on my right shoulder, jump wings and pathfinder badge on my right chest. I might just stop at that too. There is such a thing as going too far, particularly for me.

So, question for my tattoo'd pals out there in feral land; neosporin/bandage? Is that adequate? I've had more than my fair share of needles lately, I just don't want to deal with any infections after all I've been through lately.

They wife is strongly against me getting these tats, so I patted her on the head and said sweetly, "Oh I understand! Sure, you'll never be airborne nor will you ever earn your pathfinder badge, but at least I've got that covered for our family." I earned those and am very proud of that achievement. I'll lay off the other tats I guess, but these are the important ones. I could get started today and probably should.

Any advice (except for doing shots, haven't had a drink in 27 days) would be welcome.

Got a nice gift for both of my Mom and for the Wife for mothers day. We'll need to tidy up the house (meaning the kids since I sprung for the gifts). Just pick up all their shit, put away shoes, vacuum, put up dishes, etc. It really isn't that hard to accomplish if you think about it.

My Mom's gift will be from me and my brothers.
My wife's gift will be from the kids. They're very generous kids it seems.

I will grill chicken and asparagus and maybe some green peppers, maybe some white corn if I can find it at the store. The leper's kale salad seems to work itself into just about all of our supper meals somehow. How'd I live without that stuff all these years? The kale with some finely chopped up onion and garlic is incredible, nothing short of incredible. I saw a road side stand with some organic veggies and that included kale. I thank both the Leper and Babba for turning me onto that wonderful stuff, It's played a large role in my recuperation.

So happy Mothers Day, and for the rest of us, happy MF'ers day!

p.s. the Mothers Day cards I got, all proceeds go to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. St. Jude is a wonderful charity that I give to every chance I get.

Organisms that have been genetically modified include micro-organisms such as bacteria and yeast, insects, plants, fish, and mammals. GMOs are the source of genetically modified foods, and are also widely used in scientific research and to produce goods other than food. The term GMO is very close to the technical legal term, 'living modified organism' defined in the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, which regulates international trade in living GMOs (specifically, "any living organism that possesses a novel combination of genetic material obtained through the use of modern biotechnology").

Nancy sez the fag is dead..forget it...

“The obsession that some of my Republican colleagues have in the House doesn’t look like it’s on the path to really finding a solution, but just to keeping an issue alive,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Cali.) said on on the Saturday morning broadcast of MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry program. [...]

“We want to find out what did happen, but there is one line of investigation at the State Department with very esteemed, distinguished leadership appointed to look into it [that] looked into it,” Pelosi said. “And then it becomes an issue that is subterfuge. Let’s talk about Benghazi forever so we don’t have to talk about what the American people want us to talk about.”

“We certainly have to give the full attention that Benghazi deserves, but we can not let it soak up all the Congressional attention,” Pelosi said. “What would be the purpose of that?”

“There’s an obsession with Benghazi, Hillary Clinton,” she added.

Yep, he was a true believer in the "Arab Spring"

    Steyn:

“Chris Stevens is in fact the poster boy for the Obama-Clinton view of the Arab Spring. He’s one of their guys. I mean, as chaps like me look on it, he was in large part deluded about the nature of the Arab Spring, but he was a personally courageous and brave man who was on the front line of the Obama-Clinton narrative about the Arab Spring.”

“And Democrats, liberals should ask themselves about that — if they are willing to, that’s, no right-wingers, no Republicans, no conservatives are involved in this. They did that to one of their own. And as you say, the three elements of this story all got moved slightly further on in the course of the testimony yesterday. … He was there in Benghazi on a symbolic day at the personal request of Sen. Clinton. In a sense, he not only died for the Obama-Clinton fiction, he was sacrificed for the Obama-Clinton fiction of the Arab Spring.”

“This is absolutely disgraceful. I cannot conceive of how empty and dead you have to be inside to put Ambassador Stevens through that, then leave him to die,

SUNNI fight SHIA in LONDON.............Protestors marching alongside Anjem Choudary, the famed Islamist extremist, clashed with others in London's Edgware Road earlier today.

A video filmed by CoelusMedia begins with Choudary addressing the camera discussing the incarceration of an unnamed individual. The original video upload was entitled, "Muslims fight Muslims on the streets of London during a Syrian demonstration on the Edgware Road".

Choudary, who is famous for leading the now proscribed "Islam4UK" group as well as several other splinter organisations, led a march today from Regents Park Mosque which was due to end at the Syrian Embassy. Protestors marched with hard-line Salafist placards and flags, many of which read, "Support Jund Al Sham".

Flag-wielding demonstrators can be seen in the video (below) hitting at something or someone with their flagpoles, while many run around and track down one man who is shown bloodied after the initial clashes.

The protestors were marching in opposition to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, who they are known to deplore for his Alawite religion. Protestors also took up the cause against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrallah, who they deem as "Shia Enemies of Allah" for their Shi'ite Muslim backgrounds

“Some of our peers choose to throw ‘Mexican-themed’ parties that are culturally insensitive, offensive, and detrimental to the Northwestern community,” said the letter, which noted that this was a problem year after year. “Drinking tequila shots, eating tacos, and wearing sombreros do not commemorate Mexican culture; on the contrary, that offends, marginalizes, and isolates many of our friends, classmates, and community members, and casts our entire community in poor light.”

going to sip a cup of joe then start making lunches. Have an appointment with the hematologist a quarter afternoon today. Shouldn't take too long. Since I'm already going to be in that part of town, I'll swing by the tattoo parlor time permitting after the doctors appointment. The Division Patch, jump wings, and path finder badge are aren't going over the top, I earned them the hard way. Maybe this is one last futile attempt to capture a moment of my youth, and I'm not sure that that is a bad thing. I think it's pretty logical really. recapturing fond memories, especially in light of the recent health scare that I've had.

I get breakfast for the kids now and start making lunches.

Brandon Webb has been very busy it seems. They have the parents of one of the team on Fox this morning. There are so many questions here that it boggles the mind. Keep the heat on, Brandon! One statement the father made was that they all used to talk about being taken out on a helo, they knew ahead of time what was going to happen. They just didn't know when.

Winning hearts and minds of the locals is a Army Special Forces job. Goes all the way back to the OSS days in France with Wild Bill. It was never a ST mission. Their job is to break things and double-tap bad guys.

Someone has kicked a hornets nest and politicians along with the perfumed princes of the pentagon are going to get served a big steaming plate of karma. This can and should be accomplished.

Over at SOFREP someone made a statement, "Conspiracy requires a certain level of competence." Very true, but that isn't comforting in the least.

    Go get 'em, Brandon!
