The U.S. government has sued Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., saying the company paid kickbacks to doctors to steer patients toward its drugs.

The lawsuit was filed Friday in federal court in Manhattan. It comes two days after the government brought a similar lawsuit against Novartis, which is based in East Hanover, N.J. That lawsuit said the company paid kickbacks to pharmacies to switch kidney transplant patients from competitors' drugs to its own.

In a statement, Novartis said it disputes the claims in both cases and looks forward to presenting the facts in court. It said discounts and rebates by pharmaceutical companies are a customary, appropriate and legal practice

Stay a while and work it out of me,
We've got time and we can cause it to,
Just give me a sign, I'll take your word,
I'll learn anything you want me to.
That is all I'm looking to you for,
All I'm asking that you simply do.
Take it, leave it, make things matter,
Let in all my breath away.
Take it all apart and put it back,
I'm always left here looking at you.
    You look so fine, true.
    You look so fine, true.
And I would not lie to you.
Let me see you, let me know your dreams,
Won't you please give out a sign.
Things you say you make me look through you,
No one mystifies me like you do.
This is why I'll always look at you,
And I'll hold you to it everyday.
    You look so fine, true.
No one mystifies me like you do.
    You look so fine, true.
No one mystifies me like you do.

took my pal, Mike to go pick up his S&W shorty ..40 yesterday. We're at the gunshop and the wife texts me, "Yvette" doesn't approve of firearms" That's kind of like explaining that you can get pregnant when you have sex and are expecting in June. The barn doors are already open so to speak.

We're going shooting today. The wife doesn't think Mike will be allowed to go. What a crock of shit. I like Yvette but I don't think she realizes the situation that we're presently in. In Wake County, home invasions are up 400% over the last 18 months. Does no one remember that family in Connecticut where the scum bags murdered, raped, and set the daughters on fire during a home invasion? I do. Ain't gonna happen here.

both the boy and I are well provisioned and we have standardized on common ammo across the board. .40 for pistols, 12Ga. or various options, and 55 or 65 grain .223 for our rifles. The lad wants a G23, which is what I'll get him, but I've found the perfect pistolas for the wife and daughter. Also a .40, Springfield XD. It'll fit nicely in their purses. I'll get them out to the range and get them up to speed on gun safety, tactical firing, maintenance, and all around use and application of target acquisition/deadly force when it's called for. Lovely pistol, no? Too small for a grown mans hands, but just right for the ladies.

too hard to find 9mm ammo. They'll learn. They're both strong. You know ballerinas. They are a lot stronger than they look, and the wife plays tennis. They kick up like a mule, but they can be back on target quickly. That's where the tactical shooting comes in.

Pink Floyd - The Making of The Dark Side of the Moon (2003)

The most phenomenal recording in rock & roll history is thoroughly examined in Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon. The Floyd's 1973 masterpiece remained on bestseller charts for nearly 14 years, and its enduring importance is honored here by all four members of Pink Floyd and key personnel (engineer Alan Parsons, mixing supervisor Chris Thomas, sleeve designer Storm Thorgerson, and others) who played essential roles in the landmark album's creation.

Produced for the Classic Albums series that originally aired on VH-1, this thorough and thought-provoking study highlights a track-by-track dissection of the LP's master tapes (including the spoken-word passages that bookend the album), superbly interlaced with archival footage, early demo tapes, concert animations, and latter-day acoustic performances by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright to demonstrate each track's contribution to the final mix--a sonic exploration that extends to the illuminating bonus features

    Revelation 21:1-6

21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

21:2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

    21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them as their God; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them;

21:4 he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away."

21:5 And the one who was seated on the throne said, "See, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."

21:6 Then he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life.

  70. As we piled millions from desert bush tribes into America from the Middle East and millions of bush people from Africa—how do we think they will mesh with the American tribe? They aren’t and haven’t for the past 45 years of this malicious, endless importation of immigrants from incompatible cultures around the world.

We can expect more aberrant immigrant behavior to overwhelm our fractured society, our splintered sense of “what it means to be an American” and the intense overcrowding of our country that cannot be sustained.

The armed opposition fighting President Bashar al-Assad’s government has become radicalized, leaving the United States with no obvious allies.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/28/world/middleeast/islamist-rebels-gains-in-syria-create-dilemma-for-us.html?ref=world

The rebel movement has since grown to include fighters with a wide range of views, including Qaeda-aligned jihadis seeking to establish an Islamic emirate, political Islamists inspired by the Muslim Brotherhood and others who want an Islamic-influenced legal code like that found in many Arab states.

“My sense is that there are no seculars,” said Elizabeth O’Bagy, of the Institute for the Study of War, who has made numerous trips to Syria in recent months to interview rebel commanders.

gotta go to the hemotologists this morning. I'm praying my platelet count is 110 to 120 ideally. I might surprise myself, we'll see. I might also disappoint myself too. It's in GOD's capable hands now.

So much of life is out of my control and I used to live under the deluded illusion I was accomplishing everything. I've completely disabused myself of that silly notion. Into your hand's GOD, into YOUR capable hand's I place my life.

52 years old and I can finally see. 52 years old and I am beginning to understand. I may learn slower than most, but eventually I do learn.

No one mentions the agency’s money at cabinet meetings. It is handled by a small clique at the National Security Council, including its administrative chief, Mohammed Zia Salehi, Afghan officials said.

Mr. Salehi, though, is better known for being arrested in 2010 in connection with a sprawling, American-led investigation that tied together Afghan cash smuggling, Taliban finances and the opium trade. Mr. Karzai had him released within hours, and the C.I.A. then helped persuade the Obama administration to back off its anticorruption push, American officials said.

After his release, Mr. Salehi jokingly came up with a motto that succinctly summed up America’s conflicting priorities. He was, he began telling colleagues, “an enemy of the F.B.I., and a hero to the C.I.A.”
