When all the world was very young
    And mountain magic heavy hung
The supermen would walk in file
    Guardians of a loveless isle

And gloomy browed with superfear their tragic endless lives
    Could heave nor sigh
In solemn, perverse serenity, wondrous beings chained to life

Strange games they would play then
No death for the perfect men
Life rolls into one for them
    So softly a supergod cries

Where all were minds in uni-thought
    Power weird by mystics taught
No pain, no joy, no power too great
Colossal strength to grasp a fate

Where sad-eyed mermen tossed in slumbers
Nightmare dreams no mortal mind could hold
A man would tear his brother's flesh, a chance to die
    To turn to mold.
    Far out in the red-sky
Far out from the sad eyes

    Strange, mad celebration
    So softly a supergod cries

    Far out in the red-sky
Far out from the sad eyes
    Strange, mad celebration

    So softly a supergod dies

Two booms were heard following an air raid siren in Tel Aviv Thursday evening, just an hour after a rocket from the Gaza Strip exploded in an open field outside of Rishon Lezion. There were no reports of injuries in either strike.

The attacks mark the first time the center of the country was hit renewed violence from the Gaza Strip. The incident was also the first time that a real siren was sounded in Tel Aviv since the Gulf War in the early 1990s. Palestinian Islamic Jihad
took responsibility for the rocket on Tel Aviv.

Something's gotta give. Right now, a White House that prides itself on being on the right side of science when it comes to global warming is on the wrong side of science when it comes to medical marijuana. Right now, a Congress that praises states' rights is hampering the ability of states to experiment with new sources of revenue. Right now, the federal government in all its forms is taking a position which may have made sense in the early 1970s but which is now directly at odds with the testimony of thousands of military veterans who say marijuana helps ease their pain.

one more meeting today. unfortunately for Tater he's going to have to walk home in the pouring rain. I'll have to be on the phone.

I felt sorry for the cat and let him into the garage, but not before I put up the Iams cat food. He confuses my garage for a kitty buffet and simply tears through the bag to get to the food, which pisses me off. I think I'm taking off next week. I have my third interview tomorrow morning for a new position in my company. I was the original member of the team 12 years ago next week. It's time for me to move on. Too many changes (frankly they are idiot changes, but no one asked me and frankly it's not my decision to make). I had this move in place before everything started falling apart.

If I can get another 10 years in, both kids will be out of college and on their own, we'll have a modest, but comfortable retirement, GOD willing.

The Comoy's of London Pipe is absolutely beautiful also. The lighters will be put to very good use. I bought the last two canisters of butane that they had in the check out line this morning.

    aren't they still together?

yes I looked it up they are

things are not always as they seem

After ending his relationship with Mia Farrow in 1992, Allen continued his relationship with Soon-Yi Previn. Even though Allen never married Mia Farrow[104][111] and was never Previn's legal stepfather, the relationship between Allen and Previn has often been referred to as a father involved romantically with his stepdaughter[112] because she was adopted and legally Farrow's daughter and his son's sister. For example, in 1991, The New York Times described Allen's family life by reporting, "Few married couples seem more married. They are constantly in touch with each other, and not many fathers spend as much time with their children as Allen does."[104]

In 1991, when the relationship started, Allen was 56 and Previn was 21. Asked whether their age difference was conducive to "a healthy, equal relationship," Allen said equality is not necessarily a requirement in a relationship and said, "The heart wants what it wants. There's no logic to those things. You meet someone and you fall in love and that's that."[113]

Allen's and Farrow's biological son, Ronan Farrow, is widely quoted as disparaging Allen and having said he cannot see him. On Fathers Day 2012, he tweeted "Happy father's day— or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law's day,"[114]

Previn and Allen have two adopted daughters, Bechet Dumaine (born ca. 1999, China) and Manzie Tio (born 2000, Texas).

The BLM removes far more horses from their legally designated home ranges than can be adopted out to the public. The massive roundups have resulted in the stockpiling of animals in government facilities and privately contracted ranches. Nearly twice as many wild horses are housed in these costly holding operations than currently roam free, leaving most wild herds under populated and vulnerable to inbreeding and die-off due to a lack of genetic diversity.

Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano told The Daily Caller that, during its investigation of former CIA Director David Petraeus and his biographer, the FBI appears to have wrongfully treated a simple domestic dispute like a national security or criminal matter.

“David Petraeus didn’t betray his country,” Napolitano said in a phone interview. “He betrayed his wife. Big deal.”

The valuable work simply showed up recently at the Federal Way store when someone anonymously dropped it off without saying anything.

I put the link up in the last thread, but I want to see if this whole thing will post:

The Charge of the Light Worker
—apologies to Alfred, Lord Tennyson, and “The Charge of the Light Brigade”

Half a bill, half a bill,
    Hundreds of billions,
To the fiscal cliff of Debt—
    Now sixteen trillion.
    “Forward!” Light Worker said,
“Charge what we want!” he said
On the fiscal cliff of Debt,
    Now sixteen trillion.

    “Forward!” Light Worker said
“Though we’re deeply in the red,
    I’m doing what I said
    When I thrilled millions:
    The Treasury my “stash,”
    Green energy plans rash,
    Billions in crony cash,
Off the fiscal cliff of Debt,
    Now sixteen trillion.”

    “Regulate industry,
    Depress the economy,
    Create false scarcity,
    Cut back oil drilling.
    Let entitlements swell;
    Make our defense a shell;
    Into the jaws of Debt—
How great? no one can tell—
    Now sixteen trillion.”

    Flush’d down fed’ral programs,
    Flush’d down his healthcare scam,
    Threat’ning with the taxman
    Any who would protest
    His road to ruin.
    Heedless and unafraid,
    The press acting to aid
    Dissimulation
His plans had long been laid
    The land to do in;
The bill came back much more
    Than sixteen trillion.

    “Regulate industry,
    Depress the economy,
    Create false scarcity,
    Cut back oil drilling.
    Let entitlements swell—”
    That’s how a nation fell,
    Freedoms tossed down a well,
    Into a maw of Debt
How great, no one can tell
All we know is that it’s
    Now sixteen trillion.

Would we were as we were
    Ere half the land preferred
    Public trough swilling.
    What a profound error
    To let the Light Worker
    Squander our trillions!

I am home, eating cold leftover meatballs and Brussels sprouts for "breakfast" at midnight because it's all I've eaten all day. Note to self: EAT SOMETHING. Oy. I'll be of no use to him if I my blood sugar crashes and I end up in a hospital bed too.

He was resting *mostly* comfortably when I left. The headache is persistent and they're giving him only Tylenol. I had better dope with my gut issues! The call doctor also ordered NO fluids overnight despite him being dehydrated and essentially NPO since late Tuesday night. I'm not happy about that one and the duty nurse seems befuddled by it as well. I had fluids pushed non-stop when I was in the same hospital for gastro problems!

The damage seems to be confined to the fine motor skills of his left side. There are no cognitive or speech issues at all but what exactly we can expect for a prognosis is yet to be determined. Your prayers are very much appreciated. I'll update when I can. ❤

They took him for a carotid duplex test (to see if the carotid artery is blocked) and disconnected all his lines. When they brought him back, I was expecting more fluids, as was the floor nurse. When 10:30 rolled around and still no fluids I was ready to go all 'Terms of Endearment' on them so the nurse called the doctor. Nope. No fluids until morning he said. We were all stunned but they can't overrule the doc, so.....

    Ron Paul says:

As over a million Americans express their disenfranchisement with the federal government by supporting a secessionist movement that has spread like wildfire, it is time to call for a new declaration of independence and a new commitment to restore the Republic in the face of an enemy that has subverted America from within.

The United States government has been seized by domestic and foreign banking cartels. This fact is so transparently obvious that talking heads on CNBC now laugh about it.

While Americans are being told to brace for tax hikes, spending cuts and a myriad of other austerity measures, the Federal Reserve has been sending trillions of dollars to foreign banks.

We are not calling for the states to opt out of the union, we are calling on them to opt out and secede from the new world order power monopoly that is busy destroying everything that was ever good about America.
