A Whorehouse Priest

My intercessor is my friend
as my eyes pour out tears to God...
~ Job 16

The Psychedelic Furs' Richard Butler:
From post-punk's original whorehouse priest to pop star to painter.
Richard Butler was born in Surrey, England June 5, 1956. He graduated from the Epsom School of Art and Design, and went on to establish the internationally renowned rock group, The Psychedelic Furs, in 1977.

Painting was Butler’s first love, and over the past ten years he has returned to it with a passion. His paintings unflinchingly convey the pathos and pretension of the human comedy, and also the persistence of human dignity.

Butler has received much acclaim for his paintings, and has had gallery exhibitions in New York, Miami, Florida and Florence, Italy. His work has been shown alongside Francis Bacon, Alberto Giacometti, Diane Arbus and
Willem De Kooning.

Those who were musicians,
heads of Levite families,
stayed in the rooms of the temple
and were exempt from other duties
because they were responsible
for the work day and night.
~ 1 Chronicles 9

The Hebrew word for WORK there is broken down here
and then further, to the root word, which reveals the whole thing:

mal‘a^k - mal-awk‘:
From an unused root meaning to despatch as a deputy; a messenger; specifically of God, that is, an angel ( also a prophet, priest or teacher ) - ambassador, angel, king, messenger

This is the end, fall on tears all my friends...
