Stars

You alone are the LORD.
You made the heavens,
even the highest heavens,
and all their starry host,
the earth
and all that is on it,
the seas
and all that is in them.
You give life to everything,
and the multitudes
of heaven
worship you.
~ Nehemiah 9

Stars, they come and go.
They come fast,
they come slow.
They go like
the last light of the sun,
All in a blaze.
And all you see is glory.
But those who've seen it all,
They live their lives,
In sad cafes and music halls
And we always have a story.

FIRE!

If anyone's name
was not found written
in the book of life,
he was thrown
into the lake of fire.
~ Revelation 20

The Eyes In The Wheels

Do not add to what I command you
and do not subtract from it,
but keep the commands
of the LORD your GOD
that I give you.
You saw with your own eyes
what the LORD did at Baal Peor.
The LORD your GOD
destroyed from among you
everyone who followed the Baal of Peor,
but all of you who held fast
to the LORD your GOD
are still alive today.
~ Deuteronomy 4

The Sacrifice

This is what the LORD says:
If you can break my covenant with the day
and my covenant with the night,
so that day and night
no longer come at their appointed time,
then my covenant with David my servant—
and my covenant with the Levites
who are priests ministering before me—
can be broken
and David will no longer have a descendant
to reign on his throne.
I will make the descendants of David
my servants
and the Levites
who minister before me
as countless as the stars of the sky
and as measureless
as the sand on the seashore.
~ Jeremiah 33

Every high priest is appointed
to offer both gifts and sacrifices,
and so it was necessary
for this one
also to have something to offer...
~ Hebrews 8

66 Years Ago Today
June 6, 1944:

Pictures Of Lily

For the director of music.
To the tune of
"The Lily of the Covenant."
A miktam of David.
For teaching.
You have rejected us, Oh GOD,
and burst forth upon us;
you have been angry-now restore us!
You have shaken the land
and torn it open;
mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
You have shown your people
desperate times;
you have given us wine
that makes us stagger.
But for those who fear you,
you have raised a banner
to be unfurled against the bow.
Selah
Save us and help us
with your right hand,
that those you love may be delivered.
God has spoken from his sanctuary:
"In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
and measure off the Valley of Succoth.
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is my helmet,
Judah my scepter.
Moab is my washbasin,
upon Edom I toss my sandal;
over Philistia I shout in triumph."
Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
Is it not you, Oh GOD,
you who have rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?
Give us aid against the enemy,
for the help of man is worthless.
With GOD we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.

Rasputin's Stash

Blessed are those
who wash their robes,
that they may have the right
to the tree of life
and may go through the gates
into the city.
Outside are the dogs,
those who practice
magic arts...
the sexually immoral,
the murderers,
the idolaters...
and everyone
who loves
and practices
falsehood.

Purple Haze

When Jesus came out
wearing the crown of thorns
and the purple robe,
Pilate said to them,
"Here is the man!"
~ John 19

The Wreck Of The Hesperus

Should not your piety be your confidence
and your blameless ways your hope?
~ Job 4

We'll hoist a hand,
becalmed upon a troubled sea
'Make haste to your funeral,'
cries the Valkyrie
We'll hoist a hand
or drown amidst this stormy sea
'Here lies a coffin,'
cries the cemetery, it calls to me
And all for nothing
quite in vain
was hope forever tossed
No thoughts explained,
no moments gained,
all hope forever lost
One moment's space,
one moment's final fall from grace
Burnt by fire, blind in sight, lost in ire

We'll hoist a hand,
becalmed upon a troubled sea
I fear a mighty wave is threatening me
We'll hoist a hand,
or drown amidst this stormy sea
'Come follow after,' cry the humble,
'You will surely see ...'
But still for nothing
quite in vain
was hope forever tossed
No moments gained,
no thoughts explained,
all hope forever lost
One moment's space,
one moment's final fall from grace
Burnt by fire, blind in sight, lost in ire

They Ain't Making Jews Like Jesus Anymore

Pilate had a notice prepared
and fastened to the cross.
It read:
JESUS OF NAZARETH,
THE KING OF THE JEWS
~ John 19

Up Up And Oy Vey ~

I said,
'You are "gods";
you are all sons of the Most High.'
~ Psalm 82

"We are not stoning you for any of these,"
replied the Jews,
"but for blasphemy,
because you,
a mere man,
claim to be God."
Jesus answered them,
"Is it not written in your Law,
'I have said you are gods'
If he called them 'gods,'
to whom the word of God came—
and the Scripture cannot be broken—
what about the one whom the Father set apart
as his very own and sent into the world?
Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy
because I said, 'I am God's Son'?
~ John 10

Here Comes The Snake

Then the LORD
sent venomous snakes among them;
they bit the people
and many Israelites died.
The people came to Moses and said,
"We sinned when we spoke against the LORD
and against you. Pray that the LORD
will take the snakes away from us."
So Moses prayed for the people.
~ Numbers 21

From Desert Plains I Bring You Love

Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
and proclaim to her
that her hard service
has been completed,
that her sin has been paid for,
that she has received
from the LORD's hand
double for all her sins.
A voice of one calling:
In the desert prepare
the way for the LORD
make straight in the wilderness
a highway for our GOD.
Every valley shall be raised up,
every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
the rugged places a plain.
~ Isaiah 40

Full moon is rising
The sky is black
I heed your call
I'm coming back
The road is straight cast
Wind's in my eyes
The engine roars
between my thighs...

From desert plains
I bring you love

Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player

Those who were musicians,
heads of Levite families,
stayed in the rooms of the temple

because they were responsible

Jive Turkey

When Joram saw Jehu he asked,
"Have you come in peace, Jehu?"
"How can there be peace," Jehu replied,
"as long as all the idolatry

of your mother Jezebel abound?"

"Peaceful, non-violent protester"

“ACT OF TERROR ON HIGH SEAS”
ARMAGEDDON DRAWS NIGH

by Paul L. Williams, Ph.D.

A statement from the Turkish government promises “unprecedented and incalculable reprisals” against Israel for the Israeli Navy’s seizure of the Marmora, a Turkish vessel, which was leading a fleet of ships through the Gaza blockade yesterday.

The statement has received the support of Hezbollah, an arm of the Iranian government, and Hamas, the Palestinian network.

Such measures will not be confined to diplomatic censure.

Reports from Ankara, the capital of Turkey, state that the government, which remains under the control of the Justice and Democratic Party (Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP), is planning to continue pounding the Israeli blockade with more flotillas that will be escorted by Turkish warships and fighter jets.

Israel merchant vessels moored outside Ashdodport have been instructed to sail into port and take shelter in case of missile attacks from the Gaza Strip against Ashdod and Ashkelon.

In expectation of an outbreak of war, the Turkish chief of staff General Ilker Basbug has been recalled to Ankara from a visit to Egypt. Greece has since halted its joint exercise with Israel in protest against the naval action.

Israeli warplanes have headed west over the Mediterranean on Monday morning in support of the still ongoing Israeli commando operation aboard the Turkish Marmora, the scene of violent clashes between Israeli troops and the 600 “peace activists,” some of them armed.

The Turkish government, under Prime Minister Recep Erdogan, reported 15 dead aboard the vessel.

Israeli army spokesman, Colonel Avi Beneyahu, called the incident “an act of terror on the high seas.”

Far from being a humanitarian mission, according to Colonel Beneyahu, the flotilla was sponsored personally by the Turkish government to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza and permit arms supplies and terrorist to reach the Gaza Strip in an unrestricted manner.

The Israeli army spokesman said that the Turks aimed at provoking a widely publicized international incident with fatalities in order to show Israel using strong-arm tactics against unarmed peaceniks.

He further maintained that the Turkish government refused to heed warnings that the vessels would be prevented from entering Gaza Port and rejected Israeli offers to ferry their aid cargo overland to the Gaza Strip.

An estimated 19 activists were killed battling with Israeli troops, and dozens more were injured. Ten Israeli soldiers were wounded, two critically.

According to the Israelis, passengers, armed with knives and iron bars, mobbed the Israeli commandos as soon as they landed on the deck of the Marmara. One passenger allegedly snatched from a sidearm from an Israeli soldier and proceeded to fire at the commandos.

In the midst of mounting tensions, the Arab League Council has called for an emergency meeting today to demand Egypt to end its joint embargo with Israel on Gaza.

Egypt will face pressure to end its joint embargo on Gaza with Israel at the Arab League Council meeting urgently Tuesday, June 1. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas demanded the session.

Demonstrations against Israel continue to rage in Syria, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, and Greece.

GULEN MOVEMENT
GENERATES WINDS OF WORLD WAR

By Paul L. Williams, Ph.D.

Proof that Fethullah Gulen, who resides within a mountain fortress in Pennsylvania, is the “most dangerous Islamist” on planet earth became crystallized by the worsening crisis between Turkey and Israel.

The crisis was precipitated the Israeli Navy’s seizure of the Marmora, a Turkish vessel, which was leading a fleet of ships through the Gaza blockade yesterday.

Israeli army spokesman, Colonel Avi Beneyahu, called the incident “an act of terror on the high seas.”

The flotilla reportedly represented an effort by the Turkish government to break through the Israeli blockade on Gaza in order to permit the flow of arms and supplies to Hamas and Hezbollah terror groups. The Turks deny these charges, stating that the Marmora and the other ships in the fleet contained humanitarian aid for the Palestinian Muslims.

The aid allegedly was provided by the Humanitarian Aid Foundation and Kimse Tok Mir, a “charity” established by the Gulen movement.

An estimated 19 activists were killed battling with Israeli troops, and dozens more were injured. Ten Israeli soldiers were wounded, two critically.

In response to the attack on the Marmona, Turkey has promised “unprecedented and incalculable reprisals” and announced its intentions to pound the Israeli blockade with more flotillas. And there’s a caveat. These flotillas will be escorted by Turkish warships and fighter jets.

The Turkish government remains controlled by Gulen who has amassed more than $25 billion in financial assets.

Since 2002, Turkey has been governed by the Justice and Democratic Party (Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP), a party which Gulen established and financed not from Istanbul or Ankara but from Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania.

Abdullah Gul, Turkey’s first Islamist President, is a Gulen disciple along with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Yusuf Ziya Ozcan, the head of Turkey’s Council of Higher Education.

Under the AKP, Turkey has transformed from a secular state into an Islamic country with 85,000 active mosques – - one for every 350- citizens – - the highest number per capita in the world, 90,000 imams, more imams than teachers and physicians – - and thousands of state-run Islamic schools.

Despite the rhetoric of European Union accession, Turkey has transferred its alliance from Europe and the United States to Russia and Iran. It has moved toward friendship with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Syria and created a pervasive anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, and anti-America animus throughout the populace.

And the person who has created this radical change in world affairs is the reclusive Gulen.

Gulen’s grandiose vision is the restoration of the Ottoman Empire and the creation of a universal caliphate.

In his public statements, Gulen espouses a liberal version of Sunni/Hanafi Islam and promotes the Muslim notion of hizmet – - altruistic service to the common good.

In private, Gulen has stated that “in order to reach the ideal Muslim society ‘every method and path is acceptable, [including] lying to people.’”

With assets in excess of $30 billion, Gulen has wielded political allegiances in Washington that have resulted in the placement of Turkish Muslims in the CIA, NSA, FBI, and other national security organizations.

He has created well-heeled lobbies to promote the cause of Islam and to develop Islamic candidates for political office.

He has formed close friendships with Bill and Hillary Clinton, former Secretaries of State James Baker and Madeleine Albright, and George W. Bush.

Gulen has also established over thousands of schools throughout the world, where students are indoctrinated in the tenets of political Islam.

85 of these schools are located in the United States.

They are funded by American taxpayers.

Background on IHH: Turkish fund with radical, Islamic anti-Western orientation (Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center)

Stats and Facts on Israeli Humanitarian Aid Transfers to Gaza
All nine protesters killed Monday (May 31) aboard a Gaza-bound Turkish ship carrying weapons-wielding activists are believed to be Turkish nationals and were backed by the IHH, an Islamist Turkish group connected to global jihadi networks.[1] The incident occurred after Israel Navy personnel attempted to stop the ship from illegally entering Gaza and were attacked by self-described human rights activists[2] with knives, clubs and other weapons.[3] About 400 of the 700 people participating in the six-vessel flotilla were Turks.[4]

The IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi - “humanitarian relief fund”) operated the Turkish ship, the Mavi Marmara, which was en route to Gaza as part of the flotilla on a self-described humanitarian mission. IHH has provided financial support to Iran-backed Hamas and has ties to global jihadi networks and the Muslim Brotherhood – a global umbrella Islamic organization of which Hamas is a branch – as well as mujahideen groups in Afghanistan.[5] In 2006, a study conducted by the Danish Institute for International Studies showed that the IHH was involved in planning an al-Qaeda attack against Los Angeles International Airport in 1999. IHH reportedly acquired forged documents, enlisted operatives and delivered weapons to al-Qaeda in preparation for the attack, which was ultimately foiled.[6]

The Danish study also cites a French intelligence report which stated that in the mid-1990s the IHH sent a number of operatives into war zones in Muslim countries to get combat experience. The report said that IHH transferred money and “caches of firearms, knives and pre-fabricated explosives” to Muslim fighters in those countries.[7]

Tea And Sympathy

I looked for sympathy,
but there was none,
for comforters,
but I found none.
~ Psalm 69

I don't want to ride
the milk train anymore
I'll go to bed at nine
and waken with the dawn
And lunch at half past noon
and dinner prompt at five
The comfort of a few old friends
long past their prime

Pass the tea and sympathy
for the good old days long gone
We'll drink a toast to those who most
believe in what they've won

It's a long, long time 'til morning
plays wasted on the dawn

And I'll not write another line,
for my true love is gone

When the guests have gone,
I'll tidy up the rooms
And turn the covers down,
and gazing at the moon
Will pray to go quite mad
and live in long ago
When you and I were one,
so very long ago

Pass the tea and sympathy
for the good old days long gone
We'll drink a toast to those who most
believe in what they've won

It's a long, long time 'til morning
plays wasted on the dawn

And I'll not write another line,
for my true love is gone

When I have no dreams
to give you anymore
I'll light a blazing fire
and wait within the door
And throw my life away,
"I wonder why?" they all will say

And now I lay me down to sleep,
forever and a day

Pass the tea and sympathy,
for the good old days are dead
Let's drink a toast to those
who best survived the life they've led

It's a long, long time 'til morning,
so build your fires high

Now I lay me down to sleep,
forever by your side

You Samaritans worship
what you do not know;
we worship
what we do know,
for salvation
is from the Jews.

78 & 72 = 1

Listen, my people, to my teaching; incline your ear to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth with a parable, I will utter riddles of long ago; that which we have heard and know to be true, and that our fathers have told us.

We will not withhold from their children, telling the final generation the praises of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders He has performed. He established a testimony in Jacob, and set down the Torah in Israel, which He commanded our fathers to make known to their children, so that the last generation shall know; children yet to be born will rise and tell their children, and they shall put their hope in God, and not forget the works of the Almighty; and they shall guard His commandments.

And they shall not be like their fathers, a wayward and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set its heart straight, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. The children of Ephraim, armed archers, retreated on the day of battle. They did not keep the covenant of God, and refused to follow His Torah. They forgot His deeds and His wonders that He had shown them. He performed wonders before their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.He split the sea and brought them across; He erected the waters like a wall. He led them with a cloud by day, and all night long with the light of fire. He split rocks in the wilderness, and gave them to drink as if from the abundant depths. And He brought forth flowing waters from the rock, and caused waters to descend like rivers.

Yet they again continued to sin against Him, to provoke the Most High in the parched land. 18. And they tested God in their hearts, by requesting food for their craving. They spoke against God; they said, "Can God set a table in the wilderness? True, He hit the rock and waters flowed, streams gushed forth; but can He also give bread? Will He prepare meat for His people?” And so the Lord heard and was enraged; a fire was kindled against Jacob; wrath, too, flared against Israel.

For they did not believe in God and did not trust in His salvation, though He had commanded the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven. He had rained upon them manna to eat, and given them grain of heaven. Man ate the bread of angels; He sent them enough provisions to satiate.

He drove the east wind through the heaven, and led the south wind with His might. He rained meat upon them like dust, winged birds like the sand of seas; and He dropped them inside His camp, around His dwellings. And they ate and were very satiated, for He brought them their desire. They were not yet estranged from their craving, their food was still in their mouths, when the wrath of God rose against them and slew their mighty ones, and brought down the chosen of Israel.

Despite this, they sinned again, and did not believe in His wonders; so He ended their days in futility, and their years in terror. When He slew them they would seek Him, they would return and pray to God. They remembered that God is their rock, God the Most High, their redeemer. But they beguiled Him with their mouth, and deceived Him with their tongue. Their heart was not steadfast with Him; they were not faithful to His covenant.

Yet He is compassionate, pardons iniquity, and does not destroy; time and again He turns away His anger, and does not arouse all His wrath. He remembered that they were but flesh, a spirit that leaves and does not return. How often they provoked Him in the desert, and grieved Him in the wasteland! Again and again they tested God, and sought a sign from the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His hand, the day He redeemed them from the oppressor; that He set His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the field of Zoan. He turned their rivers to blood, and made their flowing waters undrinkable. He sent against them a mixture of beasts which devoured them, and frogs that destroyed them. He gave their produce to the grasshopper, and their toil to the locust. He killed their vines with hail, and their sycamores with biting frost. He delivered their animals to the hail, and their livestock to fiery bolts.

He sent against them His fierce anger, fury, rage, and affliction; a delegation of messengers of evil. He leveled a path for His anger, and did not spare their soul from death; He delivered their animals to pestilence. He struck every firstborn in Egypt, the first fruit of their strength in the tents of Ham. He drove His nation like sheep, and guided them like a flock in the desert. He led them in security and they did not fear, for the sea covered their enemies.

And He brought them to the boundary of His holy place, this mountain which His right hand acquired. He drove out nations before them, and allotted them an inheritance measured by the cord; He settled the tribes of Israel in their tents. Yet they tested and defied God, the Most High, and did not keep His testimonies. They regressed and rebelled like their fathers; they turned around like a deceptive bow. They angered Him with their high altars, and provoked Him with their idols.

God heard and was enraged, and He was utterly disgusted with Israel; He abandoned the Tabernacle of Shilo, the Tent where He had dwelled among men.He put His might into captivity, and His glory into the hand of the oppressor. He delivered His nation to the sword, and was enraged with His inheritance. Fire consumed His young men, and His maidens had no marriage song. His priests fell by the sword, and their widows did not weep.

And the Lord awoke like one who had been asleep, like a warrior shouting to sober himself] from wine.He beat His enemies into retreat, and dealt them eternal disgrace. He was disgusted with the tent of Joseph, and did not choose the tribe of Ephraim. He chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which He loves. And He built His Sanctuary permanent as the heavens; like the earth, He established it forever. And He chose David His servant, and took him from the sheep corrals. From following the nursing ewes, He brought Him to shepherd His nation Jacob, Israel His inheritance. And he tended them with the integrity of his heart, and led them with the skill of his hands.

"I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things kept secret
since the creation of the world"
