Palestinian and Egyptian eye witnesses told Turkey's Anatolia news agency that a large amount of tanks arrived at the Sinai-Gaza border on Monday for the first time in years.

According to the witnesses, the Egyptian military has boosted deployment on the Gaza border by sending 30 tanks that are patrolling the area. "We've gotten used to seeing only armored vehicles, this is the first times we've seen tanks," one witness said. (Roi Kais)

In an unusually specific finger pointing, Chinese state media accused Syrian opposition forces on Monday of training Muslim extremists from Turkey said to be responsible for the deadliest unrest in four years in China's far-western region of Xinjiang.

China has traditionally blamed violence in Xinjiang, home to the Turkic-speaking Muslim Uighur people, on Islamic separatists who want to establish an independent state of "East Turkestan".

This appears to mark the first time Beijing has blamed Syria and fits a common narrative of the government portraying Xinjiang's violence as coming from abroad, such as Pakistan, and not due to homegrown anger.

Many Muslim Uighurs in Xinjiang resent what they call Chinese government restrictions on their culture, language and religion. Beijing accuses extremists of separatism.

    Team Obama: Brennan

If you wonder why the United States is helping to install Muslim Brotherhood regimes and to promote Islamism, Brennan is the inspiration. How much more powerful will he be as CIA director, when he can slant the intelligence analysis to show that his thesis is working! (While there is no hard evidence that he will do so, viewing his public record and his determination to distort the facts I have no doubt that this is happening.)

Basically, the Brennan Doctrine says the following:

On September 11, 2001, a terrible attack on America happened. Clearly, U.S. past policy was responsible. Apologies must be made. Muslims must be courted. Fortunately, of all the Islamist groups only al-Qaida has a direct strategy of targeting the United States directly.

    Spring Awakening

How an Egyptian Revolution Began on Facebook

June 8, 2010, has secured a rightful place in history. That was the day Wael Ghonim, a 29-year-old Google marketing executive, was browsing Facebook in his home in Dubai and found a startling image: a photograph of a bloodied and disfigured face, its jaw broken

At once angered and animated, the Egyptian-born Ghonim went online and created a Facebook page. “Today they killed Khaled,” he wrote.

Here are three examples of such things happening before:

–When Director of National Intelligence Clapper told Congress in August 2011 that the Muslim Brotherhood was moderate and secular where did he get that idea? Of course, the top people don’t know much. They base what they say on the briefings and notes they get from intelligence. So the Brotherhood’s moderation was being systematically exaggerated.

Then the TRAITORS published salnder against out OWNERS!!!!!

–Thanks to Wikileaks we can see lots of secret documents that show State Department warnings about the real agenda of the Turkish regime, the threat of upheaval in Tunisia, and warnings by Arab leaders about the Islamist threat. Why were these discounted at the top unless this was disputed by people like Brennan in the White House?

George W. Bush: Snowden damaged US; security programs protect civil liberties

On Edward Snowden, former President George W. Bush said, “I know he damaged the country and the Obama administration will deal with it.” He continued, “I think he damaged the security of the country.”

“I put the program in place to protect the country and one of the certainties is civil liberties were guaranteed,” Bush said.

Later in the interview, he added, “Ultimately, history will judge the decisions I made. I won’t be around because it’s going to take a while for the objective historians to show up. And so I’m pretty comfortable with it. I did what I did. I know the spirit in which I did it.”. Anyway...as Alexander Hamilton once said...“Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.”, and my peasants have no principles or allegiance to flag or country.... they are more loyal than Mao's Red Guards, sop much so that they now refer to themselves as "REDS" and "RED STATERS"!!!! Mao & my Daddy always loved red.

A Jewish student from Kansas was denied entry into Britain for a summer job several weeks ago – apparently due to a customs agent's anti-Semitism.

After being detained for more than nine hours, he was put back on a plane to the United States by customs officials. During that time he was never told why he was being denied entry.

    Decidedly Different: The IWI Tavor

Israel Weapon Industries has established a U.S. operation to bring the Tavor SAR, a semi-automatic-only version, to Americans.

When it comes to protecting its people, no nation is more resolute than Israel. With a land area about the size of New Jersey, and fewer than 8 million citizens, the country is relatively small and geographically vulnerable to the hostile adversaries that surround it. As evidence of its resolve, Israel is said to spend a greater percentage of its gross domestic product on national defense than any other nation.

Dekel said that, in the end, the Tavor prevailed over the M4, although he declined to share specifics about how the guns scored. “The results are clear, the Tavor is the [gun] of choice for the IDF and for Israeli special and elite forces.” The IDF officially adopted the Tavor in 2003 and within three years it was in the hands of infantry brigades and special forces throughout Israel.

Legendary rocker Lou Reed, who was back on stage in June just weeks after receiving a liver transplant, was rushed to a Long Island hospital yesterday morning, sources told The Post.

The Velvet Underground founder was rushed to the emergency room at Southampton Hospital from his East Hampton home shortly before 7 a.m. following an emergency call for an adult male suffering from dehydration.

A woman who answered a phone in the unit where Reed was being treated said, “Everything’s fine.”

Reed, 71, suffered the setback 10 days after he made his first public appearance since his lifesaving transplant — at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on June 20. Reed had the surgery in Ohio in May.

In a June 20 interview, Reed made reference to his declining health.

Starting Monday, drivers like Spooner will have to stick to a schedule that requires taking a 30-minute break in the first eight hours of driving, cut the maximum workweek to 70 hours from 82, and "restart" those 70 hours with a 34-hour break once a week.

The rules are part of a program by the Obama administration to make U.S. highways safer by reducing the number of truck accidents and fatalities. The program also includes a safety rating system that shippers can review when they choose a new carrier, with the goal of prodding the trucking industry to further improve the safety of its drivers and equipment

CAIRO - Five Egyptian military helicopters trailing national flags circled over Cairo on Monday after the armed forces gave politicians 48 hours to resolve a crisis over calls for the resignation of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi.

Anti-Morsi protesters rallying in the central Tahrir Square, focus of the 2011 uprising that overthrew autocratic President Hosni Mubarak, cheered as the choppers flew overhead.

Silhouetted against a sweltering sunset, the helicopters symbolized the army's determination to force feuding politicians to share power. http://www.jpost.com/Breaking-News/Egypt-army-helicopters-bearing-flags-circle-Cairo-318338

Satsop is known for the unfinished Satsop Nuclear Power Plant, a facility designed to house two 1250 megawatt pressurized water reactors. Construction of the Satsop Nuclear Power Plant began in 1977 and was halted in 1983 after a $961 million budget shortfall, leaving the plant 76% complete. The plant was maintained, ready for construction to be resumed, until 1994, when it was finally canceled. In 1995, a demolition plan was finalized that eventually turned the site into the Satsop Development Park

As the Fourth of July nears, be careful of flying.

I have wondered lately whether a weekend in Guantanamo Bay would be all that much worse than flying in the United States. Imagine if we were to treat Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in the manner we accord everyday passengers: put him in a tiny chair, with arms crammed together and tucked between the rests — with another inmate on each side. And then we bolt him down there for eight hours. He has to share his toilet with 100 others. The ceiling is about 5 feet high, the seat continually moving while he urinates. We feed him airline food, make him watch airline shorts on the video, and have him go through a TSA security routine twice a day, all the while telling him that he is scheduled to walk down the hall for his exercise at noon, while we cancel, delay, and reschedule his long anticipated walk.

    Researchers find new bacterium

Patients who test negative for Lyme disease after a suspected tick bite could be suffering from a recently identified illness also spread by deer ticks, a team led by Massachusetts researchers reported Monday.

The paper describes two patients, one in Massachusetts and one in New Jersey, who were initially suspected of having another tick-borne disease but were instead found to have the new infection.

Leading from Behind, Obama Urges 'Restraint' in Egypt

President Obama, who did not hesitate to take a stand against former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in 2011, has urged "restraint" in Egypt and avoided addressing the question as to whether Morsi should step down. Millions and millions of Egyptians took to the streets over the last 48 hours calling for Morsi to get out of office.

With the MB's migration across the globe, its presence in the U.S. should be no surprise. What is surprising is the film's exposure of the extent to which the MB has infiltrated so many influential aspects of our society. Through the establishment of a complicated network of front groups seemingly legitimate on their face, the group has gained respectability without accountability and successfully camouflaged its true agenda of destroying Western civilization from within.

Carter’s joke was witless and flippant — typical, in other words, of late-teenaged men. By no means was it criminal. Nevertheless, a woman in Canada, who inexactly described herself as a “concerned citizen,” saw from afar what Carter had written and shopped him to Texas police. Police acquiesced to her request, searching the family’s house in the process — and finding nothing. “They really want my son to go away to jail for a sarcastic comment that he made,” Jack Carter, the boy’s father, said. Apparently so: He’s been incarcerated since March without trial.

Ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said that the country’s current Islamist president, Mohammed Mursi, should step down for the sake of the Egyptian people, al-Akhbar al-youm newspaper reported.

Mubarak said that the number of protesters in the past few days has been larger that than the number of demonstrators that rose during his rule in 2011 to topple him, the report quoted a “well-informed” source as saying.

He said that he in 2011 responded to the demands of people and resigned in order to “save lives,” added the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Mubarak stepped down following the 18-day uprising, ending his 30-year rule. The former president is waiting to be tried on various charges, including the killing of demonstrators during the Jan. 25 revolution.

  178. Targeting a specific set of applications where a wearer needs some partial assistance from a robot, Wyss Institute researchers are pursuing a new paradigm: the use of soft clothing-like "exosuits." An exosuit does not contain any rigid elements, so the wearer's bone structure must sustain all the compressive forces normally encountered by the body -- plus the forces generated by the exosuit. The suit, which is composed primarily of specially designed fabrics, can be significantly lighter than an exoskeleton since it does not contain a rigid structure. It also provides minimal restrictions to the wearer's motions, avoiding problems relating to joint misalignment. Ongoing work to optimize the suit design and make it portable is funded by DARPA's Warrior Web Program.

A soft robotic exoskeleton, pulled on like a pair of pants, could one day give athletes an extra kick or soldiers the strength to lift heavier loads than their muscles alone could bear.
