  9. say this as someone who married late, and since I wouldn't want to have married anyone except my husband, I'm glad I waited. But as a general rule, you should err on the side of marrying early. By which I mean not that you should marry whoever happens to be around when you turn 22, but that you should be willing to recognize, at the age of 22, that you've found someone you want to marry. Right now, most Princeton students don't think that way. They think there's something weird about committing at 22. And if they try to commit, their friends and parents will warn them off.

This seems like a mistake. The age at which the right person comes along depends on luck, not some kind of calendar. You can't plan for it to happen between 26 and 28, so that you can get married by 30 and have your first kid by 32. If you don't meet them right then, all that pressure to marry whoever happens to be around, which you so neatly avoided at 22, pops up again--around 30 for women, around 35 for men, judging from my experience. At 22, you're less likely to have to settle: the dating pool is larger, and it's easier to say, "Well, I'll wait a few years until the right one comes along."

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/04/01/you-should-get-married-as-early-as-possible-but-no-earlier.html

yeah, I encourage fairly early marriage..its better for a lot of reasons

“Yet does the fact that we can read a book limit it to that exclusive use? I hope not. I think it’s possible to love the idea of a book or its title (how many great titles have been wasted on mediocre books) or the way it feels in your hands or looks on your shelf or smells or the memories it evokes or the possibilities it contains. Many of us own books that we treasure solely as objects or talismans, whether due to any above-mentioned reasons or for more sentimental ones. I think it’s possible that the feeling we have for a book, based on affinity, memory, or potential, is sufficient to serve as the only justification necessary for our enthusiasm. I might even argue, with Mallarmé, that the ideal book is one that we never open, since an unopened book contains our dreams, whereas an open book contains someone else’s.”

Abbot Gabriel works with Christian refugees in northern Iraq. Joseph Yunis is one of them. He was kidnapped by Islamist terrorists and only released after a ransom of 20,000 dollars was paid. He and his family have now fled from Mosul. 'There has never been anything like this in Iraq. It only began after the US occupation in 2003,' says his son, Eder. A century ago, every fourth Iraqi was Christian. Today, with terror and persecution rife, many Iraqi Christians are living in exile. A good number have sought refuge in the autonomous region of Kurdistan, in northern Iraq. But a host of fearless Christians hangs on.

Archbishop Sako refuses to budge from embattled Kirkuk. In his residence, guarded like a fortress, he brings political and religious leaders together and tries to mediate. 'We should be brave and stay,' he says, 'even if it means laying down our lives as martyrs.' Carmen Eckhardt filmed this report on the Nineveh Plain, in Kirkuk and in autonomous Kurdistan. She talked to Iraqi Christians torn between fear, desperate courage and the hope that one day they will be able to live in peace and security.

For the politically ambitious, running as a Republican is sometimes the best way a Democrat can increase his electoral odds in New York City's crowded mayoral race. Now, a federal prosecutor says one Democratic state lawmaker went too far by offering GOP bosses bribes in order to get on their ballot.

    http://seattletimes.com/html/nationworld/2020689864_apuspoliticianscorruptionprobe.html

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said Tuesday that Malcolm Smith, who has served at times as the state Senate's majority and minority leader since becoming a senator in March 2000, was arrested along with Republican New York City Councilman Dan Halloran and four other political figures.

Bharara said Smith "tried to bribe his way to a shot at Gracie Mansion," the official mayor's residence. "Smith drew up the game plan and Councilman Halloran essentially quarterbacked that drive by finding party chairmen who were wide open to receiving bribes," he said.

Campaigning as a Republican in the mayoral race is an attractive path for candidates because it is easier to get on the GOP primary ballot. The tactic was popularized by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who switched from the Democratic to Republican parties shortly before his first successful run for mayor in 2001. At least three current candidates for mayor switched their party affiliation to get on the GOP ballot.

A criminal complaint against Smith, 56, said that in meetings with a cooperating witness and an undercover FBI agent posing as a wealthy real estate developer, Smith agreed to bribe up to five leaders of Republican Party county committees in the five boroughs of New York City so he could run for mayor as a Republican.

Bharara said $80,000 in cash was promised or paid to Bronx County Republican Party Chairman Joseph Savino, 45, and to Tabone, 46, vice chairman of the Queens County Republican Party. They were both arrested Tuesday.

Why are you hugging me? Was I lost at sea for seven months? Are you my twin sister? You hug your kids because you want to wrap your arms around their funny little torsos. You hug your wife because she likes that and it may lead to something after the kids go to bed, but I don’t hug my friends’ friends. People in LA don’t just hug you. They squeeze the shit out of you and hold it there. I find the only way to get these bitches away from me is to put up my hand for a high five but when you do that, they look at you like leprosy is back. Sorry, hugging someone you don’t know screams, “I’m full of shit” so loudly, it’s even more insulting than calling someone a leper.

  103. Union Leader article demonstrates secrecy federal contractors employ to “seed” your communities with more refugees

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 3, 2013

They are turning red states blue! And, Heaven help Nashua if they are getting more Rohingya Muslims.

    http://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/2013/04/03/union-leader-article-demonstrates-secrecy-federal-contractors-employ-to-seed-your-communities-with-more-refugees/

Resettlement contractors have a huge financial incentive to keep the family reunification applications flowing, and they will sucker poor residents of a city with a guilt trip about keeping the families together. Most Americans are a soft touch and they know it.

By the way, there is no federal law that says they have to place the extended family within 50 miles of their other family members, maybe the State Department tells them that, but Congress never did. And, besides as this article points out, refugees will move anyway within a few months because they want to be with their own ethnic group.

Challenge and hardship have become pathologized and monetized. Instead of enhancing our coping skills, we undermine them and seek shortcuts where there are none, eroding the resilience upon which each of us, at some point in our lives, must rely. Diagnosing grief as a part of depression runs the very real risk of delegitimizing that which is most human — the bonds of our love and attachment to one another.

    Charles Oliver|Apr. 4, 2013

Three years ago, an Arkansas court found police officer Coleman Brackney guilty of negligent homicide in the shooting death of James Ahern. Brackney spent one month in jail and was fired from the Bella Vista police department. But he later got the conviction expunged, and a state board ruled that he could once again serve as a police officer. The Sulphur Springs City Council recently hired Brackney as their new police chief.

Laughing quietly to myself, I noticed that the joke seemed lost on the German family, which watched the video with blank expressions. Perhaps the exhibit—bringing a heavy dose of American-Jewish humor to a German audience—was more necessary than I imagined.

Yet the experience of most Continental countries has taught thoughtful people to regard this step as the decisive advance on the path to totalitarianism and the suppression of individual liberty. It is, in fact, the complete delivery of the individual to the tyranny of the state, the final suppression of all means of escape – not merely for the rich but for everybody.” (The Road to Serfdom, 1944).

  153. The Heart

The Law of Cause and effect. Also known as, Karma.

The jump to the brics currencies is happening faster now and the push to create a distraction is heated more than ever. The banksters raveled their evil plans to quicken the demise of all paper fiat currencies for a digital sdr type world currency. Everybody knows the euro is dead and is jumping the ship now while they can. Everybody knows the insane-asylum American leadership is determined to ram the ship aground and then scuttle her and the crew, so they are betting on the winners of WW III. Kinda funny how that works. We see that there is no stopping this insane money god scamery at all. People bet on a future that is non-existent. At the rate this ship is headed towards those rocks the banksters are driving hard against the winds to, she won't last long. And even though the babylonians are doing this killing of the dollar and euro in synch with the warmongering, distractions, false flag events, and other assorted 'war by deception' tactics from that romper room box, there is still hope to stop this insanity before some clown pushes a button of no-return.

ANYONE that thinks they will escape the holocaust that follows even one nuklear weapon being discharged ANYWHERE on the planet, is a total stupid fool. Ignorance will be the death of many. What effects the one, WILL absolutely effect the all. Get that and make your bets accordingly. There is still enough time to save America from the onslaught of chaos and a potential two front world war that she is being set up like bowling ball pins to be knocked down to lose. NOW HEAR THAT! And know this, there is NO ESCAPE from the cause and effects of more world war.

    Shalom.

Mountain Pure SWAT Raid: The Movie

Mountain Pure Water, LLC is headquartered on Interstate 30 just outside the town of Little Rock, Arkansas. The company manufactures and distributes beverage containers, spring water, fruit drinks, and teas. In January 2012, about 50 federal agents, led by Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) Special Agent Cynthia Roberts and IRS Special Agent Bobbi Spradlin, swooped in, guns drawn. Without explanation they shut down plant operations, herded employees into the cafeteria, and confined them to the room for hours. They could not so much as use the bathroom without police escort. Cell phones were confiscated and all Internet and company phones were disabled.

Plant Manager Court Stacks was at his desk when police burst through his office door, guns drawn and pointed at him—a thoroughly unprofessional violation of basic firearms discipline in this circumstance, and the cause of numerous accidental SWAT killings.

According to Mountain Pure CEO John Stacks, the search warrant was related to questions about an SBA loan he secured through the Federal Emergency Management Agency to recover tornado losses to his home, warehouse, and associated equipment. Mr. Stacks says the SBA apparently doesn’t believe that assets listed as damaged in the storm were actually damaged.

66 year-old George Norris spent two years in jail following a USFWS raid that nailed him for filing incorrect forms on imported orchids.
