busy as hell with calls and remodeling the bathroom today, but I might have a chance to work in Israel. Petach Tikva instead of K-Stan. So far as I know, no one in Israel wants to kill me. Besides the food's better too!

Last month, an article by Jen Graves in Seattle’s weekly paper The Stranger exposed the artist Charles Krafft as a white nationalist and Holocaust denier, and former admirers of his work are now stripping it from their walls.

Krafft is famous for being an iconoclast, an autodidact, and a lifelong contrarian and provocateur. Throughout the nineteen-seventies he lived off-the-grid in Fishtown, an artists’ colony in the Skagit Valley, where he immersed himself in Tibetan Buddhism and Eastern mysticism and made paintings of landscapes and anthropomorphic birds in the style of his hero, the Northwest School painter and mystic Morris Graves.

Laibach is known for its ambiguous, deadpan appropriation of Fascist, religious, and Third Reich imagery (their name, the German word for the city Ljubljana under Nazi occupation, was banned in Slovenia for part of the eighties).

I hate home improvement with a passion. I just had occasion this evening to recall this farmworker shack I used to rent for $150 a month in the late 70s while working for peanuts at a certain legendary radio station. It had a well and a septic tank. The tub and sinks drained into a nearby ditch near the cornfield. I could move back there tomorrow and be content. I think this is what my older years will be like.. simplify, simplify, want less, need less, reduce overhead. I yearn for it and it's probably my fate.

hopefully the feral nation is sleeping well this morning. must have weather moving in now. My hip's are screaming at me this morning. We also knocked out a lot of tile, we've got most of it out of there. A ton of it sitting in the bed of my truck at the moment. This will be the largest load I've taken to the dump before. I am going to have to be careful unloading all of that crap. It's still held together with a steel mesh that can pretty much tear up hands and clothes. Heavy as hell too.

The kids have been fed breakfast, lunches are made and I'll go warm up the truck soon before dropping the lad off at the bus, then I'll go fetch provisions

Last December, he bought a $300 million stake in Twitter on the secondary market from two early investors in the company, Union Square Ventures and JPMorgan Chase. He won’t say how much of Twitter he now owns, but he indicates that the reported valuation of $10 billion isn’t far off, giving him around three percent of the company. In 2011, he joined forces with Bloomberg Television—which for a fee will provide the business news content and the operations expertise—to start a new pan-Arab TV news channel, Alarab, based in Bahrain, which will compete with Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya, which is owned by the Saudi royal family. “May the best survive,” he says.

    The title of the paper
    is Resolving Globally Active,
    Systemically Important, Financial Institutions.

  89. BabbaZee8:30 AM

A translation is necessary here. To an economist or banker the term “resolving” means “giving money to.” “Globally active” means a bank that has operations in more than just one country. The term “systemically important” is banker speak for “we think this bank is too big to fail and therefore we have to bail it out.” The term “financial institutions” refers to banks as well as large insurance companies such as Lloyd's of London or AIG in America.

The title of this paper is actually “In the event of another financial crisis like the one in 2008, we are going to take money from savers and tax payers and give it to the international banks which are holding us as financial hostages by being too big to fail.”

Patients with bleeding ulcers have an unacceptably high rate of
recurrent bleeding if no strategy is employed to reduce this risk.

A bleeding ulcer diet also must promote a lesser secretion of acid in the stomach. It must neutralize the gastric acid continuously and to prevent irritation to the mucus layer of the stomach. To be able to do these things the bleeding ulcer diet necessitates modifications in the nutrient intake.

The reason for this is because people who have ulcers become undernourished. Therefore, the bleeding ulcer diet must provide sufficient nutrients to increase energy. Amino acids are essential as it promotes healing through the synthesis of tissue protein. Thus a bleeding ulcer diet must be high in protein with roughly 50% increase of protein. Preferably the sources of protein should be eggs and a selection of other protein rich foods.

Care must be taken with milk as milk has an unfavorable effect on the healing process of ulcers. Meat as a protein source should be restricted as well as meat can have a stimulating effect on the stomach. Rather concentrate on sources of protein other than meat and milk for a good bleeding ulcer diet. An increase in fat intake is normally not advised in a healthy diet.

However, as part of the bleeding ulcer diet fat is important. Therefore a moderate increase in cream and butter is advised. Any foods that contain fiber that is both harsh and cause irritation should be avoided completely. As part of the bleeding ulcer diet vitamins and minerals are vitally important. A daily recommended dosage of all vitamins are recommended.

Avoid having a large meal at one sitting. Try to eat 4 to 5 smaller meals throughout the day. This action is helpful in relieving bleeding ulcer related symptoms like bloating and ulcer pain. You are advised to eat only correctly prepared meals. Drink plenty of clean water throughout the day.

Stay away from spicy foods like sausages, pizza, chili powder, meat extracts, mustard seeds, nutmegs, black pepper etc. Try to eat foods that are more bland and that have little or no peppers or spices.

Stay away from caffeine and alcohol. Caffeine, alcohol and alcoholic beverages are responsible for increasing ulcer related symptoms like pain and discomfort. Also, stay away from decaffeinated coffee, for your good.

Try to make a new diet menu by including foods like carrots, cooked fruits, turkey, chicken, macaroni, white rice, eggs, green beans, potatoes, bread, crackers, applesauce, celery, pudding, cottage cheese, custard and creamy peanut butter. Eat easy to digest foods.

Diet for bleeding ulcers also must promote a lesser secretion of acid in the stomach. It must neutralize the gastric acid continuously and to prevent irritation to the stomach linings. Any foods that contain fiber that is both harsh and cause irritation should be avoided completely.

  96. BabbaZee8:44 AM

You can end up in a situation like I was in over the summer where I was not assimilating any proteins and all my muscle wasted away and my hair fell out etc. basically I was dying.

I still have not gotten it all back I can see parts of it returning but not all and I have had the supplement that solved it now since Oct 16th. The nutritionist said ti would take at least a year though.

you should be taking vitamin / mineral supplements too.

I have made a tremendous amount of changes. Sometimes I just want to eat something I want to eat. Come May it'll be three years since I've had a cup of coffee (it did twice and it wrecked me).

And yes, I work my ass off to protect what money I've been able to accumulate. I've paid the taxes as required, but I ain't gonna pay them no more. No second trip to the salad bar for GovCo or anyone else. I set goals when I was a wee little lad and have stuck to them. It isn't because I want or need shit. I could care less about shit than 99.9% of the population, but mostly I have a family to take care of. They are taken care of, and I never had to break a single law to accomplish that.

Smoking doesn't help. I know that, but it doesn't mean I'm going to quit smoking. I've tried and failed miserably. I don't like failure.

Drinking doesn't help. I realize that also, but I don't see myself stopping that anytime soon.

Sometimes I just want something that whets my appetite. Done in moderation, I'm willing to roll the dice.

Sometimes I needs me some meat and taters. It's what I was raised on and part of who I am.

Sometimes I just want something that whets my appetite. Done in moderation, I'm willing to roll the dice.

50 cases of goetta is not moderation and since you write almost everything you do here I know how much sausage you eat.

If you have been following the Internet crackdown underway in Russia, you will not be surprised to learn that Vladimir Putin’s Kremlin has recruited many websites — which are either terrified of his wrath or interested in currying his favor — to help crush and eradicate criticism of his government online.

However, you may be surprised to learn that one of those websites is Twitter

The Kremlin is following a neo-Soviet strategy: It initially couches its restrictive provisions in terms of “protecting children from abuse” and “pursuing terrorist activity,” but the measures are always couched in language that is carefully crafted so that the law can be expanded to include any activity that undermines Putin’s authority.

Boom boom is reading "The Last Lion" by William Manchester and Paul Reed. very well written. There is one person who called out and stood alone against the Nazis and is singularly responsible for stopping world domination ..other than Hitler's buffoonary .. Winston Spencer Churchill.

He was prescient in recognizing the Soviet threat and tried to push Roosevelt to push as far east at wars end to prevent the Soviet takeover of the Balkans,Poland, Czechs and Austria.

Roosevelt sold out the Poles, Eastern Europe to the Commies for political considerations .
