Hundreds of Iraqis protest against Syria
"The Baathists and Takfiris (Sunni extremists) come from your country, Bashar," said another banner at the protest in Hilla, capital of Babil province, referring to the outlawed Baath party of ousted dictator Saddam Hussein.
Syria ready to smuggle Baathists to Sudan
"I don’t think the Syrian government is worry about Maliki’s threats with the “International Court”, Syria is more worry with the US silence. Syria knows that the US is waiting for the right moment to employ the crisis for its benefit."
Britain wants to work with Hamas
He is kinder than I am, I say they are fully cognizant that it all boils down to Glow Ball Peace through dead Juden and they simply do not care, they are willing to feed us to the wolves. Same old story.
Hamas, like Hezbollah, is religiously fanatical and imperialist, unscrupulous, and a war criminal. The notion that it would sincerely recognize Israel as a Jewish state (which Fatah won’t do, either), that it would renounce armed struggle though it be its core principle, and make genuine peace either is a foolish notion or a cynical excuse for working to appease the Arabs or for Israel’s downfall. Britain claims to be motivated by ethics. That is a pose. Obviously it is influenced by power politics, commerce, and misconceived notions.

"We find today’s action disturbing, and we think that for Iran, it is sending precisely the wrong message," Crowley said. "And we certainly support Argentina’s efforts to bring justice to the perpetrators of the 1994 terrorist bombing of the Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association in Buenos Aires, and we will continue to support that, but -- so unfortunately, rather than taking a step forward to engage the United States and the international community, Iran today is taking a step backward by putting into a high office a well-known individual suspected of participation in a terrorist act."

On Sunday, Iranian government spokesmen dismissed the Argentine allegations as a "Zionist plot" and said Crowley's comments showed the United States lacked respect for democratic procedures.

Iraq, Russia to continue talks on Saddam-era deals
So... basically we fought a war here to give all the natural resources away to China and Russia and install a sharia state? Well... I got me my shock & awe now, don't I though!
Iraqi and Russian officials are continuing talks about Moscow's desires to revive Saddam Hussein-era deals in Iraq's lucrative oil sector, a senior Russian official said on Monday during a visit to Baghdad.
Russian oil production overtakes Saudi Arabia's
SAY MY NAME.
Russia is extracting more oil than Saudi Arabia, making it the biggest producer of “black gold” in the world, figures show. The statistics, from the oil cartel OPEC, reflect a trend that has seen the Russians periodically surpass the Saudis as the world’s biggest oil producers on and off since 2002. These latest figures are being hailed in Russia as evidence that such periodic production spikes are not one-offs though and that Moscow really does have a right to lay claim to the No 1 spot. According to OPEC, Russia extracted 9.236 million barrels of oil a day in June, 46,000 more than Saudi Arabia.

Todd: I agree with you, Martin, that the Fed has succeeded a little bit better than I thought it would in propping up the commercial paper market, which looked to be on its last legs last fall. But I think that has a short half life, and I can't imagine that that rosy new world can last long in light of the continuing rise of unemployment, and the prospective shut down of half the automobile industry in the heartland. In agriculture, there are equally scary things happening.
